Swipe Right

Rate this book
Can a swipe right really lead you to MR RIGHT? Adriane has never been the type for online dating but after trying out a cool new dating app on her phone she figured she would give it a shot. All she had to do was swipe right if she liked the look of a guy and swipe left if she didn't. It was a bit of online fun to pass the time but it was about to become very, very real when she met a man who changed her life. Ryan Pender seemed different from the average guy. He was young yet very knowledgeable and appeared to be mature beyond his years. It made Adriane wonder why a man like him would be using a dating app such as this. Is he really single? Does he have a wife? Does he just want sex? These were all questions that went through her mind. But soon the truth would come out, and when it did it would be even more SHOCKING than Adriane ever thought...

This story was sweet but could have been shorter and the part that should have been long the HEA was rushed and short. still it was a good read

Tame. Safe. Predictable. I loved Ryan's connection with his students. There are a couple of heart-warming moments in the book that the reader could see coming a mile away.

Ok, I'm about 95% finished with the book at the time of writing this and I can already tell you my thoughts on it. While there were some twists and turns involved, I could already predict how the ending was going to go. That's not normally a bad thing. Even if I can predict the ending, if it's written well and the plot line remains consistent, I will normally enjoy it, no matter how predictable or off the wall the ending is.

But I can tell you right now one of the things I really don't enjoy about the way the story is ending is because it's not well written nor consistent, especially in the way the major conflict is being handled.

Ryan lied to Adriane...and yet, the story is written such that people are telling her that she committed the wrong and needs to fix it. There is one conversation Adriane has with another character where that character says "You ought to see if you two can fix what you broke," but the way it was said doesn't make the "you" come off as "you both". Instead it insinuates that Adriane is at fault and Ryan needs to forgive her. I might be reading into this particular conversation, but other characters pretty much tell Adriane she needs to ask for forgiveness.

I don't care how good of a guy everyone is saying Ryan is, but Adriane is the victim in this situation. It didn't really bother me the first time it was said, but everyone who's somewhat privy to the situation is telling her that basically she needs to ask for forgiveness because she's so lucky she caught such a good guy. It's bothering me to the point that now that I'm thinking about it, I'm getting more and more angry at the way it was written. It's rushed and not very genuine. I'm going to finish it because I'm so close, but what started off as a good story isn't ending that way.

I enjoyed the storyline of this novel and found myself angry that Ryan could not simply tell her the truth! I wanted to shake him each time the opportunity presented itself for his to come clean, but he chose to ignore it. I am pleased with the happy ending. Nice read.

Cute

An interesting story. I found some parts repetitive but it didn't take too much away from the story. Very descriptive and interesting to see the progress even thought I knew what would happen.

Good story

The premise of the story was really good but for Adriane not to Google Ryan at least once was unbelievable. What kind of reporter or single woman isn't curious?

Ms. Howard knows how to capture and keep an audience entertained. I have thoroughly enjoyed this book and hopeful for a sequel. The plot was written beautifully and very easy to follow. The characters chemistry was magical. All genres will love this masterpiece. This book can be read in one sitting. This book is a page-turner with emotions leaping from the pages. HEA are always great and CJ did not disappoint.
