Can the star quarterback make it to the final play?
Star quarterback Seth Blake cannot believe how fast time has flown by since he announced the timeline for his retirement. He's determined to drive the Philadelphia Titans to one more championship before the clock runs out and secure his place in football history. But when tensions flare between Seth and a problematic wide receiver, the whole season and Seth's legacy are threatened—not to mention the newest addition to his family.
Morgan Blake is pregnant and excited about all the coming changes in their lives. She knows life on the Texas ranch will be great for their growing family, and the bookstore and non-profit that she runs will definitely need to make some adjustments without her. But outside drama might ruin everything right at the goal line. One thing's for sure, there's a storm coming for the Blakes...
I loved this book, I'm partial to Seth & Morgan, they started it all and have never disappointed. This book had some things that I was expecting...I can't wait for the next!
The Blake and Reed families are the epitome of what a real family should look like. They love each other and support each other regardless of what's going on in the family. I just enjoy reading their stories.
Seth is over the moon about his baby girl. He and all of his brothers are in poppa bear mode. It was soooo funny to read what their plans are for her protection. Seth not only has his impending daughter's arrival but has angst about how the Titan's will do, going for their 4th Superbowl ring, especially since he and Lamont Brayer's altercation.
In this book, we see cousins finally coming to an understanding about their rift. We also see how retirement not only affects Seth but also Morgan. All in all, the family handles changes like the loving family they are.
Morgan and Seth are still one of my favorite couples. There were a couple of surprises that I did not see coming.( The fight between Seth and Lamont being one of them.) Glad to see that a baby girl has been added to the mix. My only disappointment was that the story was too short.
Too short, too much drama, Morgan was no longer the strong character she once was, and it seemed like everything was tied up too quickly in a bow at the end. The Blake family deserved a better conclusion.
