After many trips to surreal and magical places, now, for older readers an amalgamation of poetic words have arrived at Disturbed Blood - Poetry. You have been warned — words carry great energy and emotion to provoke your soul and the air around you. They will live with you forever, in your quietest and most venerable moments. For those that engage and dance in cupid’s flame, especially with the dark ones … the best of luck to you, my friends.

About the author

Living in a small village in Lancashire, England, the author has written a number of books based on the tale 'Peter'.

In the 1990s, the author had twenty-one articles published, both nationally and internationally. After gaining an honours degree in Geosciences, doing post-graduate study in Occupational Health and Fitness, and earning a masters degree in Science Communication, he developed an interest for simple communication.

A passion for writing again emerged, and combining various interests in fine art, museum exhibition display, biology, geology, poetry, and the mystical led to the story of Peter: A Darkened Fairytale. The author still retains a childlike vision of the world, which is conveyed throughout his books.

This review is for "Peter: Disturbed Blood - Poetry (Peter: A Darkened Fairytale, Vol 14)" by William O'Brien. read it in one sitting. I am a die-hard fan of O'Brien's Peter, whether Peter is looking at the world as an adult or child, in dark or in light. On a dark forbidding night or in morning light, nothing works better than Peter tales to touch your mind and heart. William O'Brien writes Peter stories in a timeless voice, concise yet filled with weal and woe. Why do I say you should read Peter? Here's a short excerpt:"Slit my neck/ Fight so pure/ Pierce the flesh/ You adore" Now obviously this book is fare for questing minds, not shrinking souls. Only the most precocious youngsters should read this before they're twelve. O'Brien offers a dark and delectable taste of Peter here. I intend to review all Peter's stories. May are lighter. But nothing is better to trill your heart and thrill your soul... Read soon. Read often. Give copies to those in need.
