Angel Avenue #2

Beyond Angel Avenue

Rate this book
Sarah Michelle Lynch’s follow-up novel to the heart-warming Angel Avenue are there ghosts that chase us or are we chasing ghosts? How does the human mind overcome trauma? Even if you think you’re cured, is there any backlash? At first, the next chapter in Warrick and Jules’ story seems picture-perfect. Marriage. Children. New home. Fresh start. If only there wasn’t a ghost still lurking from the past, a ghost so tangible they can almost touch it. The ghost haunting Jules and Warrick throws up so many questions, including what made Warrick the man he is? Why did Jules’ father not tell her he was dying? Why did Jules ignore her compulsion to dance for so many years and why do some people end up all alone, without anyone to care for them? This seasonal morality tale will do more than make you think and feel – it will leave you breathless.

Some readers run at Sarah with hugs and kisses, while others shoot daggers at her for killing their favourite character off. Sarah can only apologise and say, "The story made me do it..."

Sarah Michelle Lynch is a former journalist who wrote a trilogy of science fiction novels while on maternity leave. In 2012 she took a deep breath and published the "Ravage Trilogy" which was later re-edited and became the UNITY novels. Sarah is lucky that some readers have been with her since the very beginning and have read all the different books she’s written.

It quickly became clear from reader response that Sarah has a flair for penning erotic scenes and so, Sarah took inspiration from real-life people around her and wrote "A Fine Profession", a compelling and compassionate read. At book signings readers often confess in a whisper that they’ve read this book – Sarah’s first erotic novel – and sometimes, readers have even admitted it’s their personal favourite.

Sarah loves nothing more than to put her feet up with a book and be consumed by a story, so in turn, she endeavours to give you all this and more.

I was lucky enough to read this book straight after Angel Avenue, I'm so glad the author decided to conclude the story. There was so much more depth to these characters than I first thought. I loved the first book but this just blew me away.
The story follows on directly from Angel Avenue and we see how Jules and Warrick deal with the next chapter of their life. However the ghosts from their pasts are still haunting them and in order to find closure they have to take some risks that might make or break them. They are dragged into situations that puts their life in danger and have no idea who they can trust.

The continuing story of Warrick and Jules is beautifully told. I was gripped and compelled by the story and the characters. A truly amazing series that will stay with me forever.

I received an ARC copy for an honest review

This book picks up where Angel Avenue finished.
Jules is back home after travelling for 3 years.
The connection between Warrick and Jules is still there despite their separation. As Jules and Warrick carry on with their lives ghosts from the past come back to haunt them.
In order to lay the ghosts to rest they need to put there relationship to the test again.

I loved this story from the first page to the last.

Beyond Angel Avenue by Sarah Michelle Lynch is the gripping sequel to Angel Avenue. Even though the author provides some background, Angel Avenue really should be read prior to jumping into Beyond Angel Avenue.

Jules’ and Warrick's love has survived their separation, and they effortless pick up where they left off. Jules and Warrick epitomize the idea of soul mates. While their friends and Warrick’s family strongly support them, there are plenty of people in their past who are doing their best to tear them apart.

I did find the beginning of the book a bit slow as the Lynch sets up her story, but it does pick up. I enjoyed the mystery and suspense that Jules and Warrick work through in order to exorcise their ghosts. The journey is bumpy but they ride it out together. The HEA is completely, and totally satisfying.

I received a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for an honest review which was done in conjunction with Nerd Girl Official: www.NerdGirlOfficial.com

Following straight on from where book one left us we are back into the thick of it instantly after Jules returns back to her beloved Warrick.
Slightly slow to get into the story as theres a bit of a re cap and circling around we are soon into a heap of drama, twists, turns and all what for these guys!
Unsure of who to trust, dreams that mean more than you can imagine, and some major lies this book keeps you flipping the pages to find out if these pair will ever get their HEA!
Just wanted to hug poor Joe, and sometimes just wanted slap Jules while reading!

Found it took a while for the story to get going with this, the first third or so felt a little like going round in circles with Jules and Warwick and I wondered where the story was going but as the book progressed the story unravelled and was a good read with a twist or two which always makes a book more enjoyable.
Eloquently written and would recommend

When I stared to read this book I had a very hard time understanding what was going on. I was lost and confused and didn't like it. After a few chapters into the book I got the hang of things. Reading the unedited version of this book is very hard, there are a lot of mistakes and short cuts that don't really fit in.

Like if she is head of English than why dose she refer to it or what is H of Y??????? And why do Jules and Rick say that they have known each other for a few days when I get the understanding that they have known each other longer due to the fact of them going out on more than one Saturday?????? Other than these mistakes, I am finding it to be a really good read!!!

But now I have come to the understanding that this book is book 2 and that I know more about what is going on than I should without reading book 1 but that's okay for me :)

Beyond Angel Avenue is the continuation of Jules and Warrick's story. Jules just returned home from a three year trip to find herself. When she returns home the first person she wants to see is Warrick. She realizes when she returns home how much he means to her. They pick up where they left off. Warrick is so happy to have Jules home again. This time they want there happily ever after. They are going to face some challenges that will test there relationship. They are going to have to put some past issues behind them so that they can be at peace and find closure.

I enjoyed reading this book. It was filled with mystery of their past. There new journey together is a bumpy ride. I felt this was a great ending to their story.
