I last used a Trailblazer guide book when I travelled in SE asia before the child was born (and when I met my OH) and I remember the hand-drawn maps as being so useful. So much so as I have scanned most of the maps onto my phone for use along the way as the book itself is far too heavy to take. I have read it cover to cover too, but skimmed much of the food and hotel recommendations.

A great little book with hand drawn maps, guides to distances and estimated walk times. A handy little guide which I will refer to again and again as it includes access information via public transport. I particularly enjoyed the details included about the points of interest along the path and the colour photographic reference guide to the flora and fauna often spotted.

Spend some time getting familiar with this book before using. Lots of detailed information included, but you need to become familiar with the symbols.
