**This review of The Trojan Horse Traitor was originally posted to ChristianShelfEsteem.wordpress.com. The title was part of our home library and was read and reviewed by my middle school aged son. It may interest you that the author has graciously agreed to offer a paperback copy of her work for a giveaway (Ending 9/2/16) on the blog.

This book is for boys that like awesome action/Christian fantasy novels. I thought this book looked interesting and I was right! The Trojan Horse Traitor is very intriguing. I like this book because it tests some characters’ faith, they have a camp olympics, and sword fighting.

I want to go to the castle because I would like to meet the characters, especially Levi, and I would like to live in a castle for the summer. The whole castle (that they call camp) is mysterious. Levi Prince, is my favorite character because I can relate to him in some ways —like not being strong, yet getting stronger and wiser every day. He has some questions, and he won’t stop until he finds the answers. I like Sara, a friend of Levi, because she is nice and athletic. I also want to pop Hunter the bully in the nose because he is mean and wants to kill Levi for “untold” reasons.

I can’t wait to read the next book in the series since this book was so fast-paced! It has lots of twists, and also has a bit of spiritual warfare. The Trojan Horse Traitor seems real to me, the dialogue was easy to follow, I love it, and I rate it five out of five!

Christian Fantasy. No objections from this very conservative mama. No magic, no age-inappropriate romance, God is in control on His throne.

A fun, fast paced fantasy! Thirteen year old Levi Prince is off to summer camp for the first time. Camp Classic seems like your typical camp complete with counselors, cabins, campers (both bully and nice) and a mess hall until a storm comes through forcing the campers to relocate. Then the mystery begins. Levi starts to see things that can't possibly be true while he struggles with homesickness, making new friends, dealing with a bully and impossible classes like sword-fighting! As time goes on, things become even more strange for Levi as he tries to determine truth from lies and reality from fiction all of which ultimately tests his character. Filled with twists and turns, Blake tells a wonderful tale with richly developed characters in a unique and fantastical setting. The story takes off right from the start where the reader becomes completely absorbed trying to figure out the truth along with Levi.

The Trojan Horse Traitor by Amy C. Blake is one book not to be missed! This Young Adult fiction story spans reading ages and is just as exciting as a tale for adults. It hooks the reader from page one and you will have a hard time putting it down. The characters are fully developed and visible to the mind’s eye; with a full range of personality types, the reader is likely to see himself in at least one of them. The plot moves along well and all character relationships are resolved by the end of the story. It is clear that Amy can write well for the young adult mind and this book comes highly recommended for that age group. Excellent choice for the reading library of a boy! However, those who are looking for adventure and good reading options for any age will not be disappointed.

Levi "Leviticus Isaiah Prince" is sent off for the summer to Camp Classic. He wasn't sure of going to this camp due to Hunter and Martin 2 bullies that vowed to make his summer the worst summer ever. But he was able to find some great friends . Due to a bad storm they decided to move the kids and a camp to another location that took them to a castle. The directors home how very strange. Then they keep seeing things, strange things. Pointy ears, pixies, fairies, elves, dwarves, The Deceptor. What happens next you'll have to read. Perfect for any teen and above. It started like any contemporary novel but changed to Fantasy that reminds me of Narnia.

Your writing is absolutely delightful. I felt as thought I was right there with all the kids. Using fairy tale characters and fantasy togther with Christianity was very well meshed. Good vs evil, right vs wrong, the humanness of the fallen masterly included in the story. Forgiveness and acceptance had a part also. All of these were woven together very well in this most amazing young people's story.

How did an author make an educational camp so thrilling! Amy brings a riveting story about growing up, making wise decisions, and developing relationships in an unusual way. The twists, turns, and mysteries deepen as the main characters find their way. How will it all end?! Don't miss this fun book.
