This is a great guide to indigenous church planting, something that's very applicable at the point we find ourselves on the mission field right now. I read it because our missions organization began requiring it's missionaries to read it, replacing the previously-required "The Indigenous Church" by Melvin Hodges. I'm not sure I would recommend this book as a replacement for Hodges' book, but I think any church-planting missionary would benefit from reading both. This book is more narrowly practical, addressing the very first steps of planting an indigenous church, but giving only a few pages to the topics of the ongoing training of leaders, teaching theology, etc. Hodges' book is broader in the topics it covers, so I benefitted greatly from reading both.
