Patrick J. O'Brian is a firefighter and author from Northeastern Indiana, born in upstate New York. He writes arson mysteries, suspense thrillers, and horror novels.

His true love, and a subject in nearly half of his books, is the West Baden Springs Hotel located in Indiana's Orange County.

Inspiring

Any Jim Goeller book is good, but this book was tense, realistic and lifted my spirits. Good read and restores faith in the world.
