Maran Ovadia Yosef's commitment to Torah and synthesis of Ashkenazi and Sephardic halachic legal analysis is exemplary. Yehuda Azoulay writes of a Torah scholar who was remarkable in his study and political leadership. Was excellent to read in depth about Shas, Rabbanit Margalit, Porat Yosef and about his brothers' stint in Etzel.
