From ACTS, Book 1, the story in novel format - a new exciting way to enjoy the teachings of The Bible. In this, the first church begins, the Good News is spread throughout the land, and those following in the footsteps of Jesus Christ are called “Christians.” The Apostle Peter is at the helm of this new beginning, with God revealing to him that salvation and eternal life is not only for Jews but also for Gentiles. Peter cites Old Testament scriptures, bringing new meaning to New Testament ACTS.
A fictional account of Peter and the apostles as related from the first book of Acts from the New Testament with references back to scripture from the Old Testament.
This was an insightful and thought provoking view of what life was like in the days of early Christianity. How truly blessed early Christians must have felt to play an active part of it's inception. To live in a time where all your preconceived notions are challenged and to learn that it's far reaching beyond all the teaching of the scholars of the day. To understand that we all, if we call ourselves children of the most high, have a charge to keep telling the truth of the GOD we serve and glorify HIM in all we say and do.
A short story about Peter. It goes along with scripture about Peter. Reading this in plain English language made what Peter was doing a clear picture, I enjoyed it. I recommend this book as an aid to understanding the gospel better. It also shows how the Jews and the gentiles interacted at that time.
Peter in story form was a pleasure to read. If you have problems sticking to reading the bible this is a wonderful alternative.
The author has written several books in this format. I will be reading the others shortly as I enjoyed the way she stays true to scripture while telling a good story. Made me feel as if I were walking along side Peter.
In Peter, A Messenger For Christ, the author takes the acts of the Apostles and puts it In a story mode with recaps at the end of each chapter. This is a very interesting and, in my opinion, good way to get more familiar with different parts of the Bible.
This book is wonderfully written in a way that teaches with an easy to remember through story telling. I would recommend this book when studying Acts in the Bible.
