If you could give half-star ratings I would have rated this book a 3.5. I was torn between giving it a 3 or a 4 so I just went with 4. I liked the plot and the overall story and the book started out very suspensful which was attention getting. I've always enjoyed the sea-worthy/pirate books and I enjoyed this one as well. I liked the fight Bailey had in her, and I much enjoyed Cole with his very masculine, rough exterior and hint of gentleness and playfulness, and I couldn't help but love Griffin with his humor and fun-loving attitude...All through the book the Dragon's identity was well hidden but only because the main characters never crossed him throughout the story however, as soon as Cole met _____ (I won't say the name) I knew right then he was the Dragon. I believe it would have been a bit more interesting if the author would have had Cole and the Dragon meet at another time earlier in the book without Cole knowing who he was or write it in a way that leaves the reader guessing "could this person be....oh, wait no it's definately so-and-so..." That would have made the book a little more intriguing, but overall it was a good read.
