A Note on Kayoru
What can be said about Kayoru? Her manga are pretty average -the art is pretty but very generic. Her earlier works are over the top sugary sweet and littered with clichés and her later works are trashy at best. Despite that, I've ended up reading all of her works and she must be doing something right to be able to keep dishing out the same kind of content over and over again whilst still maintaining a solid reader base. In short, they're really not great manga but weirdly addicting.



Hatsukoi Dandelion is probably the best short story by Kayoru. Given that it's just one volume, it does still have the problem of not having enough time to develop the characters and their relationships. Nonetheless, besides the cute art, this was a solid story of first love. It had a few very sweet scenes and I thought the characters emotions came about naturally and it just made for a nice and wholesome little love story. It's nothing groundbreaking or deep, but it captures the feelings of first love nicely and it'll easily be the one Kayoru oneshot I would actually actively recommend to lovers of shoujo manga.

Ich mag Kayoru und ich frage mich, warum ihre Werke nicht auf Italienisch übersetzt werden. Man hat viel schlechtere Manga veröffentlicht.

Kayoru-Sensei zeichnet immer simple Geschichte, aber sie ist gut darin. Und ich habe ähnliche Geschichten schon gelesen aber ich kann sie nochmal lesen, wenn sie aus Kayoru stammt.

Süß aber auch ein wenig kitschig
