I chose to read this book as part of a thread called books in need for review. With at the time a dozen ratings and only two reviews it qualified. I ended up getting the book on Amazon for free and it's still only 99 cents.

It was a thoroughly enjoyable book. The characters were well developed as was the story. It's a quick and easy read. I plan on finishing the set of books. Invest the 99 cents it's well worth it. The book reads somewhere between modern YA and classic Epic. I look forward to continuing.

Excellent and engaging. This first book in the first time author's planned epic was as spellbinding as they come. They have created a world worth living in. It is alive and fully flushed out with characters and a plot that feel just as real.
