Against her will, Lissa has been tasked with taking Ian out. When he finally realizes her betrayal, he becomes determined to capture the woman who played him for a fool. Far from being his innocent submissive, a deadly temptress has been sharing his bed.
He won’t show her any mercy. He plans to break the traitor, to make her spill her secrets.
What he doesn’t realize is she’s already more broken than he could ever imagine.
Note: This is the fifth and final 25,000 word installment in a set of serialized novellas. It does not end in a cliffhanger.
Julia Sykes is a USA Today bestselling author of edgy, emotional romance. When she's not writing, she's usually reading.
Other than reading, her obsessions include iced coffee, unicorns, charcuterie, aged Manchego cheese (or any cheese, really), and fancy dresses.
An American expat, Julia now lives in her adopted, beloved home of York, England. Most days, you can find her wandering the cobbled streets and daydreaming about her next novel.
OHMYGAWD!! OH. MY. GAWD. The end of this story is intense, dramatic and awesome!!!! Agent is the final installment of Lissa and Ian's story.
From the first page of this story back in book one we are taken on an adventure that took our breath away. Had heart pumping in anticipation and fear. Had us so turned on that under garments while reading is a waste of good panties.
Lissa runs and runs but can only think of Ian as safe. People she believed would always be there for her betray her.
Ian keeps replaying moments in his head that don't make complete sense but dismisses them because his heart is broken. When he gets Lissa back in his grasp he plans no mercy. Until she breaks.
Lissa's mom answers so many questions that have been left open from the first portion of the story and we get to truly understand Lissa and her purpose.
Agent will grip you from page one and not let you go until the final word in the Epilogue. Julia Sykes does a fantastic job of keeping you enthralled in the story so that putting it down to do real life things won't happen. I loved every word of this story and am looking forward to season 2.
*I was given an ARC for an honest review but had no bearing on the enjoyment of my reading*
*No spoilers unless you haven't read the first books*
Agent was the 5th and final installment of Ian and Lissa’s story.
I enjoyed the story overall. All five books sucked you in, right from the first chapter and they remained fast paced for the entire novel. And each novel left me gripping the edge of my seat.
This conclusion was nice and neat, and contains a happy ending for all. It also made a connection to the Impossible series for Sykes superfans who would notice it.
I would recommend this series to those looking for a quick and suspenseful read with some steamy scenes thrown in.
The final instalment of Ian and Lissa. Wow what an ending. I really don't want to give away the story. As there are a few surprises in it. They Hit me and made me think. I had to read those bits twice. Ian and Lissa are definitely made for each other. The fact that with the brainwashing Lissa could not kill Ian. We finally get our answers in regard to who Alik is. How he got the help he did. All I will say is, if you haven't read this series you need to. Its another brilliant read by Julia Sykes. That woman knows how to write!!!
This was an amazing conclusion to an amazing series!!! I've loved Lissa & Ian from day 1 and the way their story ended was perfect! The conclusion to this series was by far my favorite book. So much went on & alot of what I hoped would happen did. I'm actually looking forward to re-reading this series start to finish. My favorite part of the book tho was the epilogue, Ian & Lissa are just so amazing together. Thank you so much Julia Sykes for once again writing an amazing story!
Wonderful!! The emotions and pain that Ian feels from the betrayal and the pure fear and confusion coming from Lissa makes this an amazing ride! When you have both nail biting intensity and scorching heat, it's a fantastic combination!
I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Sometimes don't you wish that you could take a book and sum it up into just word. I'm thinking.....Childish. This book was so childish in it's plot and execution. All I got was a whole lot of kink and no story. I love spy and espionage reads but this one just blew it for me. Another bad read for the new year.
️Loved Ian and Lissa, this last bk. Was so intense, so much action, drama, unsure where/ what was going to happen next, awesome story, great series, so worth your time! Julia Styles you out did yourself as usual
What a satisfying resolution to The Renegade series. It was touch and go there for Lissa for awhile, but good and true love always persevere. I highly recommend this series. It continues to showcase what great writing talent Ms. Sykes has.
Cute....I think I was so built up to hear all the answers in this book that I felt like I was cheated....maybe if it was a bit longer I could have felt better. But good series.
