"Love will find you at a time and place when you least expect it."
I liked this story a lot. Nothing I expected though... It was very emotional and seemed so real. It may be so because, from what I've read in author's message at the end, she wrote about something she went through herself. And I'm telling you, your hearts will break for little Kai.

I don't want to reveal too much and spoil the book. Let's just say, we have Garrett (rock star playboy, hook up kind of guy) and we have Sam (a neonatal nurse with a tragic past). Certain, unexpected events throw them in each other lives and this is where the relationship starts.

I liked the slow build up, I liked how Garrett changed through out the book, I liked how he matured. The story is well written, past and present is perfectly intertwined to gradually reveal the whole story and come together in the end. I admit I figured the twist pretty early but still enjoyed waiting for it to explode.

And though I might have a tiny little problem with how the whole thing was handled by Sam, I kind of get why she freaked out. I just wish she didn't take that long to come to her senses and I kind of needed some grovelling on her side. But overall, it is a beautiful, emotional and bittersweet story, with one additional little character that will steal your hearts. And as I mentioned the build up is slow but the book is not, it is well paced, what makes for a very fast reading. I enjoyed it, I hope you will too.

3 Stars!

This was a solid 4 star read for me....until it wasn't. And that was about the 80% mark.

There's no doubt Trudy Stiles can write. And she can tell a damn good story. And I think the biggest reason is because these stories are a part of her life. It makes them real. They are full of emotion and you feel right along with the characters.

I've probably said it before, but her stories aren't just stories. They're journey's. Journey's that unfold piece by piece. The story develops between past and present and it isn't until the very end that it all comes together.

Therefore it's nearly impossible to review Epics Sins without spoilers. So I'm going to have to be vague in my likes and (unfortunately) dislikes.

What I loved:

--the theme

"Love will find you at a time and place when you least expect it."

--the buildup
--Garrett
--Peggy

What I didn't love:

--the conflict
--Sam

I was so saddened by the last 20% of the book. I wish the "conflict" would have been handled differently. I was disappointed in how it played out. I was frustrated by Sam and the choices she made.

Still a recommended read for all of the Trudy Stiles fans out there. After all, what do I know...I'm always in MM land!

I love Trudy and her writing and this book was no different. I think this one pulled on me a bit more then others because I had a bit in common with the theme.

Every living person has the capacity to provide care for another; some people just have to dig deeper then others to find it

Most of you know that I have a disabled son. I was totally blindsided upon his birth. You never know how strong you are until you have no other option.

You can always tell that the author puts her heart and soul into her work and I will ALWAYS love that about her.

I don't want to give the story away but if you like to FEEL a story and have it last for days then snatch this one up.

Sam and Garrett have an unconventional love story but it's one I will never forget.

I have never had the chance to read Trudy Stiles’ books and now I’m wondering what I’d been waiting for. Trudy’s writing is clear and crisp, refreshingly honest and straightforward. Epic Sins is a story about finding love when you least expect it, a love that grows over time, a love that is redeeming and real, born out of a twist of fate and of missed connections. I loved Garrett’s voice. His recklessness a result of past longing. The change in this man is gradual, human, with all the starts and stops and the unrelenting need to stay within the bounds of the walls he had put up over the years. When Sam walks into his life, she offers him a shining example of unwavering commitment. Something that Garret knows nothing about. Sam too, has her reasons for wanting to take care of Kai. Her childhood loss is so great, that she is desperate to belong, to have a family. What she doesn’t realize is that in trying to save this baby, she ends up saving them all. This book is a wonderful testament to the fact that as people, we have the power to weather through even the worst of situations. And most of the time, love has everything to do with that

3.5 Sinful Stars

This is my fourth Trudy Stiles book, and definitely will not be my last. I very much enjoy Trudy's writing, but had problems with the character and content of this one. I expected a book about a rocker, and while that is Garrett's profession, it is not the focus in the book and winds up being only a minor detail. So if you are looking for a typical rocker book, this is not it. I fell in love with Kai and learned quite a bit regarding his care.

My main problem was with Sam's character. When reading a book I do expect flawed characters but I could not overlook Sam's flaws. She was quite condescending towards Garrett and childish in many aspects of the different situations she was in. I wanted to smack her quite a few times. I also wanted the conflict to be something different than what actually occurred and I also figured it out early on. I would have been perfectly fine if the conflict did not happen at all in this book.

So while I didn't love this book, its not necessarily Trudy's fault. She is a great writer and has a knack for words. She puts pieces of her life into her stories which I absolutely love. I would still recommend to anyone to check it out and read it for yourself!

4.5 Floating Stars

What keeps you floating? What keeps you up? Most of us need that something that keeps us going. Head above water.

Samantha has her family. They keep her up. Her mom and dad are her whole life. Until they aren't. She has a hard time floating without them.

Breathe Sam. Breathe.

Garrett has had a hard start to life. He has made his own way and has done really well. He is now a famous rock star and can put the past in the past. Until the past comes back. And rocks his world. He is not ready for the responsibility that has fallen on his lap. He is at a total loss as to what to do next.

There's a solution here....

You know I don't do spoilers. Of any kind. So let me just say that circumstances throw Sam and Garrett together. Neither are particularly happy about it or confident in their place in this situation. Their place in the world.

I sometimes feel like I'm drowning without them, but then I remember they taught me how to swim.

I love Ms Stiles writing. She connects with the reader because she lives her work. She is so emotionally invested that she completely pulls you in. You become just as invested in her characters. They are complete people with flaws, insecurities, anger, fear. I dare you to read Epic Sin and not be epically moved.

This is my first time reading a book from this author and I have to say that her story-telling skills are amazing. This was one of the books that truly makes the reader feel. It was a very real and touching story.
Garrett is in a famous band. He likes to party. His life comes to an unexpected halt when he finds out that he is a father.
Sam is a neonatal nurse. She has tried all her life to get over her parents' tragic death. When her life falls apart, she agrees to take care of a baby with neonatal abstinence syndrome. Her life clashes with Garrett's and together they must unite forces to help Garrett's son.
But love will find you even in the strangest of places.
I have to be honest and say that my favorite characters were Garrett, baby Kai and Peggy. I simply loved how Garrett grew up and took responsibility for his son. We see him turning from a reckless rock star to a devoted father. I adored his relationship with Kai.
Sam was strong but her character angered me during the last 20% of the book. I found the drama weak and I wanted the story to take a different direction.

The writing was excellent though and I loved how the author touches such an undiscovered theme. Simply fantastic idea and execution.

❤ 4 Stars❤

I recommend it to every sensitive soul out there.

WOW!!! I just finished this book today and I am blown away!!!

Trudy outdid herself this time. Get ready for the tears, the laughs, the feels. It has it all! I was so lucky to get an early copy of this one and you must add it to your TBR immediately! She truly poured her heart and soul into Epic Sins and I devoured every word. I absolutely loved Garrett and Samantha. The challenges they face and the rough path they travel on will have your heart hurting, but in the best way possible.

I don't want to give anything away other than what you read in the synopsis. Trust me on this, you want this on your TBR. Just incredible!!

A rock star romance that has pushed the boundaries when it comes to playing with our emotions! From the very first chapter I knew I was done for, that my sanity would be lost and therefore, my emotions will forever be twisted.. I haven't read any of Trudy Stiles's other books but I can 100% say that I will be one click away from every and any book she publishes.

EPIC SINS was just breathtakingly gorgeous as it was sad and heart-wrenching.. It's one of those story that you don't really know what to expect but end up falling head over heels and then realize you're a sobbing mess at the end. Yup. I have to admit, those boxes of chocolate and that glass of wine was well worthy the emotional pain that Garrett and Samantha story develops.

I loved every element and I couldn't get enough. Reading this in just one setting is a clear example of how addictive the story, how Trudy Stiles's writing is to be envied and how much I was invested in the book. Just writing this review I am also wipping away stray tears because as weird as it sounds, I felt connected with Sam in one way but with Garrett too in another way.. It was that easy to relate and understand their hardships which in turn made for a great way to fall deeper as their story carried on..

Thank you Trudy Stiles for the ARC of a book I will look forward to reading again and again. And THANK YOU for creating a world that isn't just words on a page, but feelings, emotions and heartbeats :)

For those who read Trudy Stiles's Forever Family series will remember Alex and briefly his band Epic Fail. In Book #1 Epic Sins, we meet Garrett who is one of the band members. The book starts off though introducing us to the female lead character Sam as she experiences her parents' death which leads her to go and live with her Aunt Penny. Growing up, Sam decided to become a nurse to help others and all goes well and accordingly to plan until one of her patients - a newborn baby passes away and feeling like she killed him Sam leaves the hospital. Garrett, our male lead also had a rocky childhood and his search for his father led him to a group of guys practicing music, and he eventually joined their band. Now living up the life of a Rockstar with drugs, sex and lots of groupies he is living his bachelor and carefree life. That is until a girl named Sadie shows up telling Garrett he is a father and then she drops dead. Garrett is left with the ultimate choice of becoming a father or giving the baby up to the state for foster care. With Penny - his housekeeper and Sam - her niece who will become the baby's nurse will help provide for the little one. As the book goes along, we start to discover that maybe this can change both of their lives but what will happen when they start to fall head over heels for one another and discover a deadly secret. A secret that will rip both of their lives together and one that neither may recover. One of the things that I really love about Trudy's books and it could be in reflection that the author has adopted children of her own, is that you don't have to be blood relatives to create a happy and perfect family environment and that there are people out there that will love and cherish their children as if they were there's biologically. Love knows no boundaries. For a great romantic suspense/ rockstar and edgy romance, then check out Book #1 in the Epic Fail series - Epic Sins by Trudy Stiles.

This is my first Trudy Stiles book, and definitely will not be my last. What a book! I was very impressed with it and can’t wait for Epic Lies.
I love a story where characters have shocking pasts and do a complete 180 and change for the best. I did not liked Sam in the beginning. She was quite childish at times but as time went by I started to understand her and grow fond of her as she became more understanding.

Garrett is the bad boy in a famous band. He likes to party like any other band member would. However his life comes to an unexpected halt. With unimagined life changing consequences. I loved the way Garrett grow into his roll. It was beautiful to see him grow and become involved. He was definitely my favorite character in this story.

In the end I love both characters, they both experience different lives. Both of them had their sins and tragedies to deal with and with each other’s help they both overcome the demons from their past. They become the perfect couple and I loved how well they complement each other.

This story is heart breaking and heartwarming, so be ready to grab your tissues. I look forward to reading more from Trudy Stiles! She has found a way into my heart with her wonderful writing style and become one of my automatic buy authors. I recommend this book to any Stiles fans and anyone who loves NA with a heartfelt romance story.

I always look forward to anything that Trudy Stiles writes. She knows how to make me feel all kinds of emotions during her stories. I love the characters that she creates but to me her stories also feel so real. They are the kind of stories that will touch your heart in some way. It is going to be hard to write this review without giving away too much detail regarding the storyline but I will try my best. First I will say that I absolutely loved this beautiful and emotional story. Epic Sins is a story of two broken people who have been dealt some crappy hands in life and both of them have handled it very differently. But together they somehow manage to save each other and find something that neither one of them expected, love and happiness.

Sam had the perfect childhood with parents who absolutely loved and adored her. They taught her so much in life. But at the age of 16 a horrific incident left her with a tremendous amount of pain and grief when her parents died. After that she went on to live with her Aunt Peggy. She is now a neonatal nurse and loves her job. You know the saying, “when life hands you lemons, make some lemonade?” Well I think this describes Sam’s life perfectly. No matter what has happened to her she has managed to get through it and persevere. But when something happens that causes her to be on administrative leave she wonders if this is really where she belongs. The guilt and the pain is eating her up. But then her Aunt has a proposition for her that she can very well refuse. But her aunt means the world to her and she knows that there is no way she can say no to her. But what happens in the months to come is nothing of how she expected her life to go.

Garrett also knows pain very well. He too lost his father when he was young. But his circumstaces are very different. His father left and never came back. He chose to leave his family. So you can imagine the pain he feels and while it may be the same loss that Sam feels I think his pain is also very different. When we first meet Garett he is the typical rock star bad boy who sleeps with may women and is never one to settle down. Until a prior hook up shows up on the tour bus and changes his life forever. Garrett is now faced with a situation that he is not sure how to handle at all, he's not even sure that he wants to face it. But his housekeeper who is also a surrogate mother to him assures him that everything will be fine and it will all work out. But Garrett is still very unsure of it all.

Sam is unexpectedly thrown into Garrett's life because of her aunt. She is not sure how she feels about it or about Garrett himself. Honestly I think her first impression of Garrett is one that many would probably feel in this situation. I understand why she felt that way but I also understood Garrett's fears as well. But as time went on I loved watching Garrett start to open himself up more. Not just with the situation but also with Sam. He wanted to become a better person because of Sam's presence in his life. He opened up his heart to her and that is something he never thought he would do. But as life sometimes does, it threw another curve ball their way. As if they had not been through enough these two are now faced with another obstacle. Will everything that they have been through and the love that they have for each other be enough to get through this one?

I love Trudy's Stiles book. I think that when she writes a book she writes it from her heart. And I think that is the exact reason why I always feel connected to her characters and invested in their stories. She tells stories that feel so real, she creates characters that have flaws just like all of us and she manages to bring out all of the emotions. And Epic Sins is no different. This story felt so real and so true to life. Yes Garrett is a rock star with a bad boy image but that is in no way the focus of this story and that is what I loved. This book is about so much more than that. Sam and Garrett find each other and learn to both open up there hearts to each other. I think in ways they were meant to be together. I felt connected with Sam and Garrett, from the time that we learn about their past to the moment these two connect to the very end. I loved taking this journey with them. I also loved the supporting characters such as Cassie who is Sam's best friend since childhood and Garrett's bandmates, especially Heath :) Another amazing and beautiful story from Ms. Stiles.

After reading Trudy Stile's Forever Family Series and completely loving them, my anticipation for Epics Sins was huge! I could not wait to get my hands on this book. After having totally consumed it, I must shout out my love for Trudy.... I love you lady! You make my heart sing and my spirit soar. I am blown away by not only your talent, but by your consummate heart! Only someone with an overflowing heart can write about the subjects that you do. You always get under my skin and make me feel... How do you do it each and every time?

"Love finds you when you least expect it."

Epic Sins is a journey about two people, Garrett and Samantha, whose lives are completely different. Yet both have shocking pasts, that have shaped their futures. They are thrown together in a situation that will devastate your heart... As they pilot there way through uncharted waters, hitting bumps along the way, they begin to mature and grow. Eliciting certain feelings towards each other, but in order to move forward they need to face their demons and their pasts. Their plight and love left me feeling nothing, but pure adoration and respect for these characters......

"You've given me everything I thought I'd never want or have. You changed me. You've made me want to erase all of the sins in my past and be worthy of you."

Reading a Trudy Stiles book is an experience... Her fluidic style keeps you turning the pages with her methodical pace. Her stories always have a significance and are conceptually thought out. You can tell she researches her topics and scrutinizes every detail. She not only enlightens her readers, but she educates them. She always has her readers not only thinking, but relating to her stories. She writes with compassion and empathy. Always turning tragedies into triumphs....

I also enjoyed getting to know Garrett's band members... Dax, Heath and Tristan. They are all very different, but it works for them. I'm am very intrigued with what lies beneath this surface.... Bring it Trudy!! Looks like this will be another amazing series.

description

I really enjoyed this book a lot! I read a couple of reviews and knew what the heartbreaking situation was (which was the reason I wanted to read this book). This is the first book I read that handled a situation like this one. It was really heartbreaking to read, but also beautiful in how it brought two broken characters together. I wish the book was longer because I wasn't finished with Garrett and Sam's story. I also loved the side characters such as the rest of the guys from Epic Fail, aunt Peggy and Cassie. I especially loved aunt Peggy who plays such an important role in both characters lives. She is a very strong and supportive woman. I would love for her to find her HEA.

What I didn't like that much was the conflict towards the end. I can understand Sam getting upset but didn't necessary agree with her actions. It was in my opinion a bit too much. For the rest it was really good, and I can't wait to read the next books in the series. I wonder if Cassie will be one of the guys love interest (I hope so!).

I loved this book! I have to admit, the Garrett from the beginning had a long way to go in my eyes, but I believe he did it. I loved both he and Sam, and I adored sweet baby Kai. I’m an OB nurse, so the subject matter in this book hits close to home for me. I thought the subject matter was well written and brutally honest in the best way. Great read!!

Have you read a book that is soul stealing, a book that is written from the heart that you sit here and wonder what did we do to get a book like this . I don’t think I could ever put in too words how deserving of the praises that this book is going to get. As this book is one of those rare books. A One in a million book that leaves you thankful for the life that you got. As this book will tear you into pieces and the result are not are not going to be pretty.

I’m familiar with the author but I have never read one of her books until now. You can probably guess what I’m going to stay next, I’m kicking myself for not reading anything by this author sooner. As this author ticked all my boxes and immediately went This author has a gift, a gift of writing and telling stories that will destroy you. It makes you forget about your own situations for the d

In Epic Sins we are introduced to Epic Fail which some readers may be familiar with if they read the series which this is spin off from. I was assured that I could read this standalone but for a rich experience I should read the other series. Just do it as this book is only another richly descriptive story that only adds to the story we know of Epic Fail and their members.

Epic Sins are about those sins the sins of our fathers that haunt us. For Sam Weston, the sins of another man destroyed her family and left her with memories that she rather forget. Now a successful NICU nurse, she tries to move on from that time that destroyed and changed her life until her life starts to fall apart once again when she makes a devastating mistake at work. Leaving her once again wallowing in the black hole that has followed her since she was a teenager. Until she offered a chance to make a different and enter Garrett’s life a t time when he is a loss what to do for the first time in years.

Garrett Armstrong is the lead guitarist of the band who has no time for reality. He lives the typical rockstar lifestyle , as means to hide the guilt of his past. The sins of his father that have haunted him and handed him a life that he loves at the same times hates. Trying his best to forget his life comes crashing down in a moment when he discovers something he never expects.

Leaving him grasping at straws and thrown into a situation that is unfamiliar for the rockstar and forced to seek out help bring Sam into his a life. A life that is chaotic to stay the least….

Setting them together on a path that has nothing set in stone and everything up for grabs. Will they find love and be able to hold it?

Heartbreaking yet beautiful, Stiles weaves a story that I couldn’t get enough of and now wanted to go back and read this book all over again. There is something about this story that just breath taking that sucks you in and is gut wrenching. There is more to this story that you ever expect and the bar is set now high for this series after this book. It not just a story of love and romance, it a story of healing and more. Thank you to the author for sharing a piece of you in this book, I can only imagine the amount of tears that went into this book and it only makes it even more special.

When I think of Trudy Stiles books, I think, family.  Her stories are as heartwarming as they are heartbreaking.  Every book (and I've read them all) filled with a tangible realness.  She takes romance deconstructing it, going from past to present, back and forth, back and forth gutting you open.  Continuously building her characters and her story until you're left feeling all warm and gushy.

Epic Sins, a spin-off of the Forever Family series, continues with family being the thematic element.  Garrett Armstrong, lead guitarist for Epic Fail, finds himself in a predicament that no rockstar wants to find themselves in.  Sam Weston has definitely had severe tragedy in her life.  She's thrown herself into her job only to find herself once again in the midst of tragedy.  Garrett and Sam come together in the most unconventional way but it works.

I thought Trudy Stiles handled the subject matter in way that only someone with experience would.  She allows the reader to learn and ultimately gain respect for all those involved.  Hard to describe without spoilers.  Lets just say Ms. Stiles did this story justice bringing to light a subject matter that I know many don't know or have any experience with.  While I may not have liked Garrett in the beginning, I understood him.  Sam too, she overcomes, perseveres and for the most part "has it together" she's a likable person and you find yourself respecting her role in the book.

I even found myself enjoying Sam's Aunt Peggy.  She stepped up and provided a pivotal role in both Garrett and Sam's life.  I almost wish she had a bigger more prominent role in the book.  I wanted to see her shine just a tad more.  While I found myself heavily invested in the story, I was disappointed in the end.  There will be many who disagree, I'm okay with that, but for me the romance element could have disappeared and I would have been okay with the story as it was.  I felt like the last quarter of the story dropped dramatically when it turned more towards the romance and away from the unconventional family ties.  The growth in both Garrett and Sam was lost in the messiness of the climax.  I suddenly found Sam selfish and I didn't like how she handled herself.  Garrett in this situation, I thought had grown by leaps and bounds.

Trudy Stiles fans will continue to be just that, her books are always touching and full of emotion.  My heart always hurts and then fills till bursting when reading a Trudy Stiles book.  So get your tissues ready!

Wow, what a book! I'm SERIOUSLY impressed with this new novel from Trudy Stiles! I've read each of her previously published novels. Dear Emily, Dear Tabitha, and Dear Juliet are each very good in their own right, but it’s obvious to me Stiles really dug deep when she was writing Epic Sins. Trudy Stiles writes heartfelt stories that will leave you warm on the inside, and Epic Sins did just that for me.

Even though the Epic Fail series is a spinoff of Stiles' Forever Family series, it’s not necessary to have read Dear Emily, Dear Tabitha and Dear Juliet before you begin reading Epic Sins. For those of you who have read Dear Tabitha, however, you might remember Alex was in a rock band named Epic Fail. Each of the novels in the Epic Fail series will be standalones that focus on the bandmates of Epic Fail.

First up is the lead guitarist for the band, Garrett Armstrong. You could say Garrett takes full advantage of being in a rock band. Not one for wanting any type of commitment, Garrett philanders his way through the women at each new venue. But at the age of 26, Garrett’s life is about to be turned upside down by something he has never wanted.

Samantha Weston experienced tragedy and loss as a teenager, but with encouragement and support from family and friends, she has overcome the odds. She graduated from college with a nursing degree and is now working as a neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) pediatric nurse at a hospital. Just when Sam is finally feeling comfortable and truly enjoying her career, she is faced with another tragic event. That’s when Sam learns she is needed for a very special situation.

Epic Sins isn’t just entertaining - it's interesting. Trudy Stiles writes about NICU and sick babies with such knowledge that she has me wondering if she might also be a nurse. She writes with knowledge, but she also writes from deep, down in her heart. I enjoyed every moment of watching Sam and Garrett grow closer – from skeptical acquaintances to respectful friends to hesitant lovers. It was heartwarming for me to read Sam and Garrett’s story, as they helped each other face down and overcome the demons of their pasts.

Epic Sins was more intense than I expected. Stiles crafted this story so that information is revealed about the characters at the perfect moment. This allows for twists in the story – surprises that will catch readers off guard. My emotions were all over the place while I was reading Epic Sins. I felt anxiety on more than one occasion. Anger at the characters. Profound sadness for their loss. But THIS is a story that will fill your heart with joy. Trudy Stiles fully develops her characters, gives them hope, love and redemption. Epic Sins is one of the best stories that I have read this year, and I count it as one of my 2015 favorites! It truly has everything I look for in a new adult/contemporary romance, and I’m so excited to give Trudy Stiles a 6-star rating!

I have been a huge huge huge fan of Trudy Stiles since she released Dear Emily several years ago. She just has a way of pulling you into her story grabbing a hold of your heart strings and not letting go until the very end. With her novels you know you will always be left with a story that not only touches your heart but your soul! She does it every time to me and Epic Sins is no exception! This is one that is a MUST read! This novel does goes back and forth between past and present and alternating point of views.

Garrett is the front man for Epic Sins. He's used to the rock and roll lifestyle of drunken nights with nameless one night stands. But when one of those one night stands drops a bomb on him that he never saw coming, he is forced into doing something he never thought he would be faced with, becoming a Father. That one night stand, Sadie, informs him that they had a child then proceeds to overdose on a mixture of drugs and alcohol. He wants no part of this child and wants to just put it up for adoption but when the social worker talks to him and he reluctantly agrees to taking him in and hires a nurse to look after him as he has he was born a drug baby.

Samantha's life revolves around taking care of sick babies in the NICU at the hospital but when an accident puts her on administrative leave, her aunt gets her a job with her aunt's boss, Garrett, taking care of his child. The child was born addicted to drugs and now is going through horrible withdrawals. It’s absolutely heartbreaking to know what some babies have to go through because of the careless of their parents and it literally broke my heart!!

Garrett is reluctant to get close to baby Ben but in just a short period of time he starts to open his heart and realizes that he is all that Ben has. Garrett watches as Sam and her aunt Peggy care for Ben and slowly but surely knows he must do the right thing when it comes to Ben. As Ben's care progresses, Garrett and Sam's friendship also evolves. When it looks like things will happen for them (I think to myself it’s about time!) they both open up about their lives and they quickly learn that not only Ben is not the only thread that links them together.

One tragic event that effected both of them in their youth comes back to haunt them as adults. Sam cannot move past this and refuses to turn the other way. I'm so frustrated at this point and I want to yell at Sam to move on!! She cannot let go of the past and decides it’s time to move on. Ben is progressing and doesn’t need a nurse full time like he once did. She feels like it’s the only thing she can do. Have I mentioned how frustrated I am!! Garrett, Ben and Sam all deserve happiness but will it be together? You'll need to read Epic Sins to find out!! 5 HUGE STARS!!!

Garrett Armstrong and Samantha Weston could not be more different from each other. Garrett is a womanizing rock star with little regard for anything beyond his instant gratification. Samantha is a nurse whose childhood tragedy has made her compassionate and giving—turning the very worst thing that could ever have happened to her into a way to give back to the world.

When a one-night-stand groupie pops back into Garrett’s life, she wreaks havoc and turns his whole world upside down. Samantha, who has recently had her own world turn upside-down is thrust into the middle of Garrett’s drama and there the two of them try to navigate their way through their new realities.

Along the way…love blooms.

It’s a slow bloom. This was no insta-love, nor was there an instant connection. Garrett and Sam come by their relationship honestly—over time and with lots of shared special moments. When they finally come together it’s so rewarding to watch them let down their walls. They’re so sweet and adorable together. Their moments together felt so real; the time Trudy Stiles invested in building up their relationship paid off by making it seem realistic and rewarding.

When past demons rear their ugly heads, this delicate new relationship is tested. It’s heartbreaking. There were times I wanted to shake Sam and make her snap out of it, see things for the way they really were and understand what she was doing. I wanted to light a fire under Garrett and make him force Sam to see the mistakes she was making. I mean, I got it, but it hurt to read. I hurt for them. But all this hurt just made it extra rewarding when they finally got it right.

Oh, this book took my heart on a ride! There was so much tenderness here—at so many different levels. I enjoyed (almost) every minute of it (I mean, there were some moments when Ms. Stiles was taking a battering ram to my heart—I didn’t enjoy those moments as much). The ending is perfect—beautiful and fitting. This isn’t your average rock star story, but it’s one you should read nonetheless! ~ Shelly, 4 stars

**JODIE'S REVIEW**

Epic Sin is a spin off from Trudy’s other series and even though you don’t have to read it to understand who or what you are reading I HIGHLY recommend them just because they are what made me first fall in love with writer that is Trudy Stiles.

“You’ve made me want to erase all of the sins of my past and be worthy of you.”

I am a sucker for the rocker star romance books so as soon as Trudy messaged me that she was writing this, I was like a teenager trying to get a backstage pass. WARNING THIS IS NOT YOUR TYPICAL ROCKSTAR ROMANCE!! This was so much more!! This book touches on a dark reality that not many can write about unless they have lived it. Trudy definitely opened up her heart and bled out when she wrote this book. She wrote with so much emotion that I couldn’t walk away until I reached the end. I was a cheerleader, I was a mom and I was friend all at the same time with these characters. This is a feelings book, one of those books that captivate you just by reading the first chapter. I honestly fell so in love with Sam and Garrett. The funny thing was yes Garrett is this rock star but I loved Garrett for more than that.

“You’ve given me everything I thought I’d never want or have. You changed me. You’ve made me want to erase all of the sins in my past and be worthy of you.”

I loved that Trudy showed so much growth in these characters and she developed such an interesting story line that gave me these little twist and turns that I never seen coming. All I can recommend is that you get your tissue and get a bottle of wine because you will be needing both (and maybe some chocolate).

May be my favorite Trudy Stiles book I've read to date. Just a great friggin' book!

Garrett Armstrong is the guitarist for the band Epic Fail. He is a womanizer who endears himself to the mystique of the rock star mantra. Girls, booze are plentiful. Then one night his past comes up and lays the smack-down on him. A one night stand from his past shows up and tells him she has a gift for him, before she OD's on the bus.

Turns out the junkie got pregnant and now Garrett has a son!

When a caring social worker and his housekeeper some how coax him into accepting his responsibilities and to take custody of the child this is where the story takes off. See a baby born to a drugged out mother tends to have issues and needs extra care.

Lucky for Garrett his housekeeper has a niece who is a nurse and no less an NICU nurse at that and is available take care of the baby. Her life in upheaval after a potential grave mistake cost a newborn its life.

Samantha Weston is that nurse who goes above an beyond and was born to be a nurse. Now suspended while they investigate the death of the newborn in the NICU she is coaxed into caring for the ill baby of the rock star. Her 1st impression, he is an asshole. He also has no seeming interest in the kid.

But as time goes on he warms up. He is mesmerized by her care she gives his son. A sort of friendship builds and grows stronger as her opens up to her and his son. She warms to that too.

I LOVED this book and everyone should read it, that is my recommendation to all!!!!

Epic Sins is the first book in a new series by Trudy. Having read all of Trudy’s books already I knew Epic Sins would be EPIC. And it sure was. Trudy nails it every single time. I just love everything about her books. Everything. From the writing to the characters to the plot- she is flawless at it all.

There are so many things to say about Epic Sins. I won’t spoil any of it for you. I will say this- I love Garrett. I love Sam. I love everything about them. Their story will touch your heart. It will rip it apart and put it back together. It’s sweet, touching, endearing, heartbreaking, moving and perfect.

The way in which Trudy writes is fluid and so easy to fall in love with. You won’t want to put Epic Sins down. Not only does she alternate point of views between Garrett and Sam but she also alternates between the past and the present- giving us parts of the story that lead up to how and why things are what they are today. And she does it all so seamlessly.

I love how Trudy has always been open about her real life and how it connects to her work. The issues in her books are real to her and she pours her heart and soul into her stories. It’s evident. And Epic Sins was no different.

Epic Sins is going to be an epic series! I can’t wait for the rest of the books!! In the meantime, you have to read the Forever Family Series right now if you haven’t. And I will hound Trudy for the next book. Go one click!!

I really really enjoyed this book, it’s not at all what I had originally expected. I was so much better than I had originally thought it would be. This is my very first book from Trudy Stiles and it wont be last I look forward to reading more from her. This story was beautiful, heartfelt and will pull on all your emotions. What makes it even more meaningful is how close it is to the heart of the author, and it made it mean even more to me to know the story behind it.
Garret is the rockstar…he was hard to like in the beginning, but overtime you watch him change from the hardened spoiled rocker to a great man and dad. Sam has an ugly past that she wrestles with but she still has a heart of gold when it comes to helping others. The thing that I enjoyed the most about this story is that Garret and Sam are completely oblivious to their slow attraction to one another, and they essentially save each other without knowing.
The story itself is unique, in the way that Garret isn’t some hot playboy rocker that gets around or has a penchant for talking dirty, and Sam isn’t the sweet virginal girl that seems to steal his eye. The story focuses on each character their pasts, and presents and when Garret and Sam finally fall into one another it’s natural and beautiful. I recommend it to all romance fans, even those that like the softer and more PG side of the genre.
~~ Thanks Trudy Stiles for the ARC copy for my honest review. ~~

Sam has conquered some crazy events in her life. Things that even the strongest person could not handle, but she has overcome most of them, but some epic sins are hard to forgive.
There is another epic component to this story. Garrett. Oh sweet Garrett. He did a complete 180! I went from wanting to smack him to wanting to hug the hell out of him. Something about the brooding rocker turned family man is so damn sexy.

"You've made me want to erase all of the sins of my past and be worthy of you."

I am the one who doesn’t feel worthy. Trudy continues to blow me away. She is a master at bringing some deep issues to light and in this case combined it with a beautiful love story. It is not insta-love, it is true love; the kind of love that grows. Garrett and Sam have a kind of love that can overcome death, denial, drug addiction, and their pasts that will come crashing down on them and threaten their future.
My first dose of Epic Fail was an Epic Win.

I was lucky to receive an ARC of Epic Sins by Trudy Stiles. After reading her first series of books, I wondered how Trudy would come close to writing another book to match that level of story-telling; I was NOT disappointed!

The depth to her writing is powerful. The skill with which she delivers emotions is astounding. I don't want to elaborate on the story itself because I think the blurb provides just enough details to draw in a reader.

Trudy has a true gift in making a reader feel emotions. I believe that is a rarity. Her stories are not generic; you can genuinely feel her heart poured into every word, sentence, and page.

If you've never read a Trudy Stiles book, you are doing yourself a disservice. After reading a book by Trudy, you will find she has skyrocketed to the top of your favorite authors list!!
