Chaotic Evolution: Inception Book #1 by Terra James is a blood-rushing, cyber-dystopian thriller that took me back to the early days of Michael Crichton. Her characters are so true to life it's scary. The scenes are well described leaving little room for doubt as to how bad the situation is. THIS MIGHT HAPPEN!!! So read on...
Kyla and Ryder are survivors. At nineteen they should be having fun in College. Now the world has changed, mutated or perhaps evolved into a nightmare of violence and mindless chaos. Survival means leaving everything you hold dear behind, even family get left in the past for all there is now is a future of uncertainty and fear.
Kyla and Ryder have been chosen by a sinister government organization run by robotic androids and robotic scientists. They have to learn a whole new philosophy that leaves no room for mistakes. Mistake = death! But what these two young adults have been chosen for is so crazy, way out there, not even they could ever conceive of this brave new world of order without question.
This novel is a must read for all scifi dystopian fans fed up with zombies. And Terra James is THE author to watch out for. She is going places.

My Review of Chaotic Evolution: Inception by Terra James

I have to say that this is the first dystopian book I have ever read. I love watching apocalyptic TV shows, but I didn’t know if a book would read as well as a TV show can be depicted. I have to say that my expectations were EXCEEDED with this book! I love the characters, I love the story line, and I love the PATF facility! I have never read a storyline like this or watched it on a movie or TV show. I wasn’t aware that this theory existed on the apocalypse, but it was definitely a change to the traditional “zombies”, in a good way! In this story, the “infected” are simply mentally mutated individuals that seem to be filled with rage. The book has not yet informed the reader whether the outbreak is viral (an infection), or something else. I am eager to know what caused the outbreak as my brother and I love to come up with apocalyptic scenarios. I totally believe that something like this could happen because humans have messed so much with things that should be left alone. This book was well written with few typographical errors, minimal grammar errors (if any), and the story flows well. This story does jump from past to present tense, but I never once got lost on where the story was at. I absolutely loved this book and cannot wait to read the next one in the series! I do have to say again, Terra, ….cliffhanger much?!?! If you enjoy dystopian/apocalyptic stories, then you have to read this!

I would love to thank Ms. Terra James, this is an amazing book! It is. And end of the world book. But it keeps you hoping and on yout toes. The main character Kayla has had some things gping on , School for one. There's so much suspense your literally holding your breathe and so is she! If that not enough S he has to deal with crazed lunatics. Then there's a compound. And she has no idea what to expect. But you really want her to get through this! I loved the by play between Kayla and Ryder. There's even siblings thrown in. This book really tugs at your emotions. If a book can make me cry.you have me! I also laughed , hoped and was indignant for
Kyla at times.
Great book ! I highly recommend it!

I recieved this book for an honest review.

Chaotic Evolution: Inception by Terra James is an incredible look to a possible future.
Instead of enjoying her Senior year of High school, Like Proms and Graduation, Kyla becomes a traumatized survivor of an in-school massacre.
With a life in the military in his future Ryder and his family World come crashing down when a neighbor begins a massacre of his own.
Coming from two different lives these two are thrown together in apocalyptic time. Where families are separated and lives are changed the minute they enter the government facility they had hoped would help save their families.
A roller coaster ride of emotions all around, an amazing storyline, constant movement that keeps you entranced. Looking forward to the next continuance of this story. Couldn't put it down, a must read!

Terra James has done it again with a well written book that will keep you on the edge of your seats. She knows what her readers want to see and writes it to the best of her ability. These new characters and new genre for that matter couldn't be any better then the Immortal Series.

If you like destruction and chaos this is the book for you. If you like love at first sight this is the book for you. If you love hate at first sight this is the book for you.

It has a lot of up and down moments but it will keep you drawn in from the first to last page. This is highly recommended to read along with all of Terra James books.

Well what can i say about this amazing story. It had me gripped from the beginning, I could not put it down from beginning. It made you feel and be in the story and seeing what Kyla's and Ryder's had been through in their devastation and how they came to where they are now. You couldn't help but feel for everyone in the story. You just fell in love with all the characters. I am so looking forward to next book, I need to know what happens. This is brilliantly written.

Chaotic Evolution:Inception is a great story. Kyla and Ryder experience horrible tragedies that no child should. They are both fighters so they have a better than average chance for survival. But the danger is far from over. Their refuge may not be as safe as they have been told. But it is the only option. Isn't it? Are they strong enough to survive?

** A free copy of this book was provided in exchange for an honest review. **

This was a nice journey. In an unknown facility with forced domesticity, the dramatic setting is immediately presented. Add-in teen issues and the flashbacks as to why the characters are in this situation and the story plays out wonderfully.

WOW Wow wow!!! This is the first thing I could say as I finished this exciting, yet unnerving book by Terra James. Chaotic Evolution: Inception, is a book that made my heart race and my hands clench in fear for the young characters in this book.

This dystopian/apocalyptic/ thriller focuses on two young adults Ryder and Kyla that are forced together as their families struggle to stay alive in a world that is possibly ending. Their lives is a battle of survival and they must trust the government and the new home they live in, inside the mountains to help protect them. What they learn about who they are and the abilities they have is mind blowing and the chemistry and story between Ryder and Kyla makes this book one you cannot put down. When I finished this book I was shocked and awed. I need more and I need it ASAP.

This story had me hooked from the first chapter. You never know what will happen next, and just when you think you have something figured out, there's a twist or surprise that you never see coming! Kyla and her brother survive a school shooting. Ryder and his family survive an attack on their apartment complex. The world has gone crazy with people turning violent and no one seems to have a clue as to the cause. Both families flee to the supposed safety of a government run bunker in the mountains. There are androids and and ever-watching computer AI and tech they have never seen. Are they really safe and what mysteries are hidden in the bunker and by those running it? Just how far will people go to save and protect their family? Read it to find out!

This is my first book from this author, but I really enjoyed it. Kayla and Ryder were thrust into a really bad and scary situation. But, they form a really strong bond during this situation. I really liked this book and the characters thrown into this strange situation.

Had a lot of potential. Great storyline, very creative but the grammatical errors were everywhere and it was very hard to get past. 3 stars for entertaining me nonetheless.
