The exposition that I present here is as I understand, and as revealed to me by the Holy Spirit, rather than following the very familiar and conflicting interpretations 1. Total Depravity 2. Unconditional Election 3. Limited Atonement 4. Irresistible Grace 5. Perseverance of Saints “Predestination” is a biblical doctrine and if it is understood correctly our hope in Lord Jesus Christ and in our eternity increases, thus honoring God for loving us. Much of the problem of understanding “Predestination” comes from the fact that believers tend to have one sided view of the doctrine as taught in one’s childhood, or in early stages of one’s Christian life. First of all it should be understood that “Predestination” emphasizes on the end result than that of intermediate stages. Predestination is a doctrine of God marking out the believers in Christ to conform to the image of His Son. However, we cannot skip meditating on Salvation because only those who are saved will be conformed to the image of His Son. Our gratitude towards God increases when we understand that God did not predestinate some to destruction, and some to salvation, but He predestinated sons adopted by Him to be conformed to the image of His Son, Lord Jesus Christ.
