Have you ever wondered what's going to happen when the world ends? After reading this book I found out the biblical way, God is going to rapture all the people who have accepted christ (Which means take them too heaven) All the ones who are left behind will face a 7-year trial when the devil himself comes as a human and turns people away from god, there will be famines, plagues and disatsters, 1/4 of the human population will be destroyed, On the seventh year Jesus will return and will bring heaven onto earth defeating evil once and for all, All christains will be treated like prince and princesses for eternity, Now read this series and find out how normal teenagers such as Judd,Vicky,Lionel and Ryan survive the 7-year trial as their families have gone to heaven and these kids were left behind facing horrible disaster and await Jesus return. This book is amazing! I love it so much! I encourage you to read it! :D
This month of November I read Left Behind by Jerry B. Jenkins and Tim LaHaye. I started reading it and didn’t like it at first but the more I read it I liked it much more. I choose this book because I read the first chapter and I didn’t really like it. So when I read a few chapters I really liked it. It made my mouth drop of how good it was. I want to give you a summary about the book and why it is so good. This book is about four kids who didn’t believe in God. There was a 16 year old boy named Judd Thompson. Judd has two siblings that were twins and he lives in a religious family. He is the only one who doesn’t believe in God. Vicky who is 14 years old has a little sister. Her family wasn’t Christian yet.A preacher came to town one night while a family party was going on. He was preaching the gospel and Vicky looked over to her parents and they were crying and praying. She didn’t know what to do. Lionel Washington a 13 year old boy. He had a older sister and also grew up in a Christian family like Judd. He actually never believed in God. His uncle Andre’ was the name. After weeks and months these kids met each other and became friends. After they met and became friends, people started to disappear and they didn’t know why they were disappearing. Then they met a 12 year old named Ryan Daley. He never believed in God. They couldn’t do anything until something happened but I won’t spill all the book. In conclusion I really liked the book and would read it again Andy day. I recommend you to read the book and see if you like it. You won’t regret reading it. If I loved you you need to love it. That was my summary of Left Behind.
These are good books if you love nonstop excitement and danger at every turn—literally. It’s all about the tribulation—and I know that it will really be awful. My issue here is how it’s written. The author makes it out to be as though we can wait until after the rapture to be saved—when the Bible says that if we hear of salvation and reject it, then after the rapture occurs well be blinded by the world’s lies and won’t have another opportunity to be saved.
I also don’t appreciate all of the details Jerry Jenkins puts in here. They are very unnecessary—very immoral. If you read them, you honestly wouldn’t think he was a Christian. He makes all the characters horrible kids that eventually turn out good—but they all have extremely vulgar lifestyles before the rapture. This may be a good way to share the gospel to the world, but I stopped reading them because of it’s immorality.
Theres 4 kids who didnt belive in god and god comes back 2 get all the belivers and thier left behind. They all accedentyl met at a church and go around straightning things out then they met agian at the church and decide 2 live 2gether. The kids names r judd, the oldest and called richkid, Vicki, the 2nd oldest called trailor trash, Lional, a black kid whos uncle died, fearless, and Ryan, the youngest and still not beliving plus a total coward/jerk. Now Lional has just sean wat was supose 2 be his dead uncle at a morgage but says he isnt and its him and judd the rest, vicki and ryan, are at home. Ill tell u more later.

First off, since each book is fairly short, and I'm on about book 40 or something and still have more to read, I'm not going to individually add each one. In general, they are good. I am a christian myself, but considering I do not believe in a pre-tribluation rapture, not only do I take the characters as fiction, but the entire scenarios as well. Interesting, but pretty deperessing.
:0 Best book series ever, but these defiantly didn't compare to the books at the end of the series! (The later ones are better in my opinion, but they're all awesome)
Just sit and imagine the end of the world described in Revelations. Then ponder the thought of being left behind and needing to survive the final days. Now pretend you are just a kid, not old enough to be making grown up decisions yet. This portrays a very scary picture, but in these books there is still always the promise that God is with us forever and ever. Even past the time when our world comes to an end.
I began reading this series to help change my view of my faith and have not regretted it since! It really opened my eyes and helped me learn more about the Bible! I reccomend this series to anyone who wants to get a new perspective on their Christian faith!
I like the writing an the authors prospective on how he simulate all the panic in the wourld and how the the charterers find faith in god even thru the ciaos
Left Behind,Through the Flames. You know those books you have just laying around your house, that you havent dared to pick up to read? It just sits there for ages, and collects dust? Well yes indeed this happens to be one of those books. How one day i spontaneously picked it up to read it will remain a mystery. But i most defiantly dont regeret reading this book one bit! Talk about reading a book full of action and one that keeps you on your toes. This book fits that definition to a "T". Would any kid you know about around the age of 14-17 put their lives up for risk? I dont know alot of them. But in this story their defiantly are some brave kids! As part of the title says "Throught the Flames", they werent kidding. But ill save that part for later.
This book is part of a series, it happens to be the 3rd book out of many. And how it starts is just like the 2nd one left off. But lets start at the frantic part, shall we? Ryan trying to prove his worth, sneaks around his friends Lionel's uncle Andre's place. In search of figuring out how he died. And where his body is. Lionel already tried to look for him before it got to late. But that didnt stop Ryan. After a disagreement over some of the house rules, he took off from Judds place on his bike. Of course that was one of the ways to make himself look brave. But who wouldnt be Nervous? Ryan trying not to let a bit of fear interact with how he feels. Off away he went on his bike, and went to Lionels place, where his unlce's friends were. He got the smart idea to eavesdrop on a phone call of a women and Lionels uncle. After Ryan figures, and discovered he took off as fast as he could, with being chased by a van he was frantic! trying to think of places he could go! He thought of ALL options. Finally, he found one that would work. He called up his friend Bruce and told he would show up at his place as soon as possible.
While all the other teens got to a bible meeting, Bruce was very, very, very worried about Ryan and if was going to make it there safe and in good condition. So Ryan finally gets there, and tells Bruce all about the story, and what happened and how he got chased. Being a rebel isnt something he wanted anymore. And proving things like his bravery didnt mean much to him anymore. With all his friends being big fans of the bible and Christains, he decides that it would be good for him to join as well. Sure enough, He became a Christain!
As that was going on, Lionel discovered where Andre was, his old Fiance, Talia took him there. But after he leaves, he went to Judds car, trying to spread the news of whats happening. They figured out that Leory's gang was following in a van, and another van is near. But all of a sudden they heard a gun shot, The appartment is bursting out in flames, and they franticly raced up to Andre's appartment stairs, they enter his appartment only to find him shot, and dying. After he Gets carried out of the appartment he died. They had the Faith and Bravery to go in a appartment burting out in flames, and risk their lives.
This book is a very good learning to be happy with yourself and not trying to always prove someone something, just to prove your bravery. Ryan learned alot through scary expeirences, some that put his life in a awful lot of risk. All of those kids learned how to band together to find faith and fight. I rated this book 3 stairs. I was happy with it, and would recommand it. But im not really into the action feeled books. But it was good to try and read knew things. It was definatly worth reading it. It kept me in tuned and wanting to read it after i stopped for the day to figure out what was going to happen next.
Left Behind Book #1 Jerry B. Jenkins 175 Pages Realistic Fiction/Science Fiction
The book Left Behind is about four kids who didn't believe in God. First there is a 16 year old boy named Judd Thompson. Judd has two siblings (twins) and he lives in a religious family exept, he is the ONLY ONE in his family that doesn't believe in God. Next, there is a 14 year old girl named Vicky. Vicky has a little sister and her family wasn't christian until, when a preacher came to town one night during their friday party. (included drinking, smoking and a lot of other stuff) He spoke the word of God to them and she looked over at her parents and saw her mother and father crying and praying. She had no idea what was going on. But she went to her friends after the preacher left and asked them for a cigerett. When she came home after he cerfew that night, her mother and father told her they became christians. The next child is a 13 year old boy name Lionel Washington. He has a older sister and also grew up in a christian famliy like Judd. He loved to sing the songs and loved to learn God's word but, he actually never believed in God. His uncle Andre' was the same (exept he just didnt believe). Now the last child, a 12 year old boy named Ryan Daley. He never belived in that "God stuff". His friend tried to invite him to church but he never went. But he and every other non-believer regretted that as soon as the world ended the next day. The night before that at about 11:32 (I think) every one who believed in Christ disappered out of their clothes and went to heaven. Those 4 children became orphans over night. (ryans parents died they didnt disapper out of their clothes.) So they had no idea what to do and they cried and regretted that they never believed in God and Jesus before. They couldnt do anything until.....
I love this book so much! I love the plot, the story line and...... EVERYTHING!!!!! I loved the message in this book and I hope a lot of people read this book! It is sad but, It is a realy cool at the same time. I can't even dscribe how good ths book was. It had everthing that was interesting in it. But some of this stuff in this book isnt real. Like when they disapper from their clothes, that won't happen. All people will be alive when Jesus comes back. And it says that no one knew when Jesus came back but, everyone will know when he comes back. This book is so amazig. I LOVE IT!!!!! :)
the first six books are amazing. I am currently waiting for the 9th book its a book about the rapture on earth after Jesus comes back. it is a really good book that's why i give it out of 5.
I liked these. It's only later in the series that we find so much death.
At the same time, the characters rise to the occasion. They know people are in danger, but they also know they only have seven years left before everyone is gone, the world destroyed. If they aren't going to tell them about Jesus now, they'll never get the chance.
Reading this to Kev (age 9) and really enjoying it. I read the adult series and this is an interesting take on the kids left behind. I think this is a pretty good fictionalized version of what will happen one of these days. Revelation has always been one of my favorite books of the Bible...
Left Behind is a book about basically, the end of the world. I read this series a few years ago, and I'm reading the 40 books again to refresh my memory. The plot of this story, mainly enhanced by Jenkins, gives thrill and on-going adventure for the avid reader. The Christian aspect, created by Tim LaHaye, gives the entire series a forceful and strong meaning/purpose.
This is a good book for teenagers and parents as well. Whether one believes or does not believe in rapture or tribulation...still there are some lessons one can get from the story of these four kids..find out their own story...
I'm on Book 3 in the series, and so far, they are amazing! They are pretty short, so I can read them in a hour or so. They are very thrilling, action-packed, and keep you on the edge of your seat. It's very hard to put them down! Also, they are Christian books, so that adds an extra bonus! ;)
I read this because I bought it for my nephew and wanted to read it first. I was amazed how it was written along the same story line as the adult Left Behind books.
This was an awesome book! I couldn't put it down! it keeps you hanging at the end! I love it i only have 2 more to go before i am done with the all of them!
