Myra Cohn Livingston was born in Omaha, Nebraska. Her family moved to California when she was 12 years old. She studied the French horn from age 12 to age 20, becoming so good that the Los Angeles Philharmonic invited her to join them when she was 16 years old. She had other plans. She knew she wanted to write.
Lots of limericks has alot of humerous poems. i enjoyed this book alot. It captured my attention because I love poems. I would love to read another on of these authors books. I liked the part of the book that was a poem about A Crusty Mechanic,I liked this poem because it was funny and funky. the part that made me connect to my life was the part about the lady of pompton lake that made silly mistakes.
Older children will appreciate the humor and word play in this book of limericks. The book is broken up into different sections, and the poems are fun to read aloud.
We enjoyed reading this book together, taking our time and reading no more than one section each night, usually just a couple of pages of poems.
It's a hilarious good book. It is one of the funniest poetry book's that I have ever read. It has odd shaped people, weird looking animal's and and even ghost's.I think people that like to have a good laugh should read this book.
