Biography
Samantha Beardon was born and grew up in Norwich England. Reading has always been a passion and to write a novel a dream. She was eventually motivated, to take the plunge after playing games on line and discovering a cyber world she didn't know existed. She made some great new friends but also found a world of sexual intrigue and possible exploitation.

Samantha has an interest in relationships and being emotionally self fulfilled, and would debate the issue for hours. She believes that happiness comes from within and whilst others can walk with one on a quest for happiness, if one lacks self belief and expects happiness to come from outside sources then disappointment will always follow.

Having researched online relationships and listened to many peoples stories, Samantha saw how many people went into on line relationships without thinking, playing it by ear until caught by unexpected emotions. She hopes her book will make people think about some of those issues, if they are in an online flirtation or affair or thinking of starting one.

Its happening all around you on the internet.

Samantha also paints silk, makes greetings cards and loves to travel.

Converging Lives is a debut novel in which she knows she has made mistakes. Having never attended writing school this was a seat of the pants introduction into the scary world of book publishing. Hopefully constructive criticism, and all the things she has learnt can be applied to book number two.

Samantha is currently doing a Diploma in Art Appreciation, learning how to construct a blog, making a first foray on Twitter. The spin offs from novel writing are exciting and far reaching.
She looks forward to interaction with her readers and those wanting to debate relationship issues, or most anything else.

Wow! What an amazing read 'Converging Lives' was! Having come to this book fresh from reading 'Viral,' also about a very different online experience, I now view all things cyber in a new and informed light! Of course I knew about internet grooming and bullying on social media along with similar, more sinister uses of computers and the internet - but I never ever realised that to some people they have two completely separate lives; one based in reality and one in the computer world - and I'm not even sure they know the difference between the two.!
'Converging Lives' follows the real-time and cyber lives primarily of Rick, Christine, Eve and Marghita, married people from different countries who meet online to play a word game, Crozzle. From Crozzle they frequently progress to an online messaging service called Beat where they exchange messages, share pictures and tell anecdotes of their everyday lives, often becoming deeply emotionally attached and developing virtual sexual relationships. The problems begin when the lines between the real and virtual worlds are blurred and crossed with the consequences taking a more sinister turn. I won't say more for fear of spoiling the story, but this book is definitely worth a read.
There are some basic punctuating and grammatical errors which I assume are part of the advance copy and will be dealt with for the final copy so I haven't allowed them to influence my rating.
BUT, once again, wow! Not only was this a real page turner - but I also learned some important lessons.
