Sui Ishida (石田スイ, Ishida Sui), born December 28, Fukuoka Prefecture, Japan, is a Japanese manga artist
In 2010 he won the Young Jump 113th Grand Prix award with Tokyo Ghoul (東京喰種, Tōkyō Kushu). In March 2011, the same oneshot was published in the 2nd Issue of Miracle Jump. And later in September 2011, Tokyo Ghoul started as a series in Weekly Young Jump 2011-41 Issue. In December 2011, he made another oneshot about Rize that was published in December 2011 in Miracle Jump 6th Issue, which was later collected in the 6th volume of Tokyo Ghoul.
In 2013, he also started Tokyo Ghoul: Jack in the digital magazine Jump LIVE.

Sui Ishida is his penname; nobody knows his real name or what he looks like.

Oh My God...
Like I knew Kaneki was going to go through a drastic transformation but I'd never imagined the costs...
And screw all the people who are simply cheering the fact that he has become a white-haired badass rather than weak and timid, I have never felt so sorry for a character... I mean I don't deny that he is a badass.

But, oh God, that scene. Just... horrible. Brilliant, but horrible. My eyes were as wide as tennis balls. My heart felt like there was a cement block sitting on top of it. Poor, poor Kaneki. I don't think people are nearly as sympathetic towards Kaneki as a person, as much as they should be, particularly since long-time manga readers just want to keep seeing badass main characters. But I laud this series and its author for its brilliance not just because of the drastic character transformation but because of how easily we are able to put ourselves in Kaneki's position and sympathize with him even before then - a position I would never, ever, ever want to be in, no matter how much I love white hair and badassery.

This manga is going to end up shattering my soul, I just know it...

Un tomo que arranca con potencia.
Canibalismo, tortura, sadismo, conflictos, reencuentros, algo de acción y una buena dosis de locura y perversión.

Creo que el dibujo del autor no me gusta tanto, sigue sin convencerme y aquí he sentido que se refuerza más esa opinión. Los trazos son muy descuidados, y a veces hay demasiados, lo que hace que el dibujo se torne muy cansino para la vista por lo oscuro que es y por lo poco que se puede apreciar los movimiento de los personajes en medio de una batalla. Es muy pero que muy confuso.

Sin embargo, la historia me sigue gustando. Pueden aparecer más villano y antagonistas interesantes, muchos más dilemas existenciales en torno a la relación entre ghouls y humanos, también es obvio que esto lo vivirá en carne propia el protagonista, que aquí no pasó por su mejor momento y protagoniza una de las escenas más edgys que he visto en mi vida. Pero vale, a mí me ha gustado. He saboreado ese punto tan bajo al que ha llegado luego de tanto sufrimiento y desesperación que solo lo podía conducir a ser más salvaje y aceptarse tal cual como es ahora. Con su condición. De hecho, no creo que Kaneki siga igual luego de lo que vivió.

28.03.18 BRUHHHH this was freaking AWESOME. everything: the art style (yeah, EVEN the fight scenes), dialogue, plot in general has gotten progressively better.
!!!!KANEKI!!!!! now this is what i call character development. I’m living for this new strong!confident!badass!completely fucked up!kaneki. 😩👏🏽 that whole thing with yamori/jason and their fight? E P I C.
also, touka reminded me of mikasa ackerman from AOT 😪
P.S. still love nishiki and tsukiyama and need more of them pls

I’m blown away; this volume was incredibly horrific and just so damn great. Kaneki has been through so much already, and seeing him tortured was the last straw for my fragile heart…. I hope he goes ham and murders everyone who’s ever hurt him.

Each scene between Kaneki and Jason was masterfully done. I wanted nothing more than for that sick bastard to die after the ‘counting’ scene, and well….. yeah! By far, the most engrossing volume yet (and that cover!!!) praying for Kaneki's health and safety rn....

Gran tomo, duro por los momentos de tortura por parte de Yamato.
Luego sucede la gran incursión del CCG contra Aoigiri y se van sucediendo interesantes combates.
Se produce el despertar de Kaneki con un aumento espectacular de poder.
Y finalmente aparece un ghoul muy poderoso el búho de 1 ojo...
Interesante como puede comenzar el siguiente tomo.

I’m at a loss for words.
Can we talk about the author for a second? They chose to write THAT scene in the seventh volume! (You all know what I’m taking about).
Count down from 1000 by 7s (yes, I’m talking about that scene...) and he wrote that scene in the seventh volume.
I’m pretty sure it’s not a mere coincidence.

Also like, my heart goes out to Kaneki. He’s gone through so much and he suffered more than anyone in the entire series.
I wouldn’t be surprised if he turns evil at this point.
I’m even cheering him on! Please take your revenge and kill everyone who hurt you.

I can’t believe how beautiful this manga is. The art has definitely improved and the storyline keeps getting better. Why isn’t this manga series more hyped? I think this deserves the same amount of hype as attack on Titan.
If they hadn’t messed up the anime, then I’m pretty sure this would’ve been just as popular, if not more.

Finalmente ho Ken in bianco ma oddio le torture subite da Jason sono state pesantissime. Non che mi impressioni facilmente. Anzi tutt'altro. Spero di finire presto la prima parte dell'anime nel frattempo per dedicarmi a questa seconda la Root A e vedere come è stato trasposto. Ma come sempre me la prendo comoda. Mi manca il non fare un tubo delle superiori e passare il pomeriggio tra Anime e Manga invece che studiare.

Jūzō mi sta sempre più antipatico. Sarà perchè è pazzo o cosa.

E ora che studio giapponese mi sa che sto diventando pedante anche qui. Usano Touka (con l'allungo) ma usano Juzo (senza). Da come l'ho scritto su, copiato da Wiki, secondo la logica dell'allungo senza macron, andrebbe scritto Juuzou. (Leggete come To..oka e Ju..uzo..o.)

Premise: The CCG investigators v.s. Ghouls from the Aogiri total war, starts! Meanwhile, the folks from Anteiku try to recuse Kaneki, who had been imprisoned and tortured by a member of the Aogiri.

Kaneki v.s. Jason's boss fight is brilliant!!!! I can't say enough how much I love it!!

Poor Kaneki had suffered so much! I love the scene with him and Rize talking!!! Although I like the same scene in the anime adaptation even more!!!

OMG...Kaneki...
The big transformation happened. Kaneki has endured so much suffer and torture that he finally snapped. His mind is a mess, filled with desire of revenge, anger, sorrow. I felt sorry for him.
It was really hard for me to read the torture scenes. Especially when the tortured one is my preicious character. If I were Kaneki, I would die from heart attack. He is really strong: both physically and mentally.
The most hated guy is Jason Yamori.
The one problem is that I don't understand what is going on in fight scenes. I can't get the drawing, who kicks who, who punches who... I mix up everything. That is why I like anime for action scenes.
I wish Kaneki could be okay again.

Wow 😲 questo volume è spettacolare! rientra in scena Gourmet. Ne vedremo delle belle. la trasformazione di Kaneki mi è davvero piaciuta. E anche il fatto che lui parli con Rize, mi affascina sempre. Quindi ci sono altri Ghoul come Kaneki? Il dottore sta facendo esperimenti? Tutta l’operazione di assalto mi sta intrigando. L’intrecciassi delle vicende mi tiene sempre sul chi va la <\spoiler> Voglio sapere di più! E Juzo mi piace proprio.
