This story brings to life a famous moment in history

I really enjoyed this story. Written in a very active voice, the author maintains suspense throughout. You feel as if you are in the room or on the trail with each character. Every detail, the temperatures (-64), the dwindling serum count, the obstacles of snow and ice and wind, enhances the story. I highly recommend.

Wonderful read...a great book to read for those that love "mans best friend" the dog. Also the citizens of Nome, Alaska who had to endure so much in the 1920's
