I live in KY with my family. While I hold a "real job" my first love will always be writing.
I enjoy lots of different kinds of books, and many different authors. Some of my favorites are, but not limited to, Sandra Hill, Lori Foster, Kelly Armstrong, Stephen King, James Patterson, J.R. Ward and Emma Holly. But I think I would read just about anything with a good plot.

I felt so much while reading this book!!
If you haven’t read the Forbidden Love Series then you may not be as excited about Jaded as those of us who have. It is Jade’s story and tells of her life after she is “grown” and in the process of meeting her mate. Jade is very powerful as a result of being born to a vampire and a human. She “knows” things. But when it comes to her own life and destiny she can’t see the future. She has to live it, just like everybody else–with one exception. She knows who her mate is. She knows who he is and that he is coming.
I freaking loved this book!!! It has everything you could want in a paranormal romance, and then some! A strong, opinionated, don’t mess with me heroine, a scorching hot, easygoing hero, a mindless villain, and all the supporting family members one could ever need. There are vampires, witches, fey, angels, and demons galore!! I laughed, I cried a little, and I was on the edge of my seat waiting to see what would happen next. It is a standalone novel with a beginning, middle, and an end, so you don’t have to have read the Forbidden Loves Series in order to follow it and fall in love with Jade and Michael. But why wouldn’t you?? 5 Stars for one of the best books of the year!!

Jaded….This book did bring the series back to full circle for me. I’ve been a hugh fan of the Forbidden Love Series from the moment I read the first book. I’ve watched Jade (Angel and Brea’s daughter) grow from and infant to a young women throughout the series and yes it was hard for me to see her as this young women but boy I was so happy to see she got her story. I was happy to see even though the Forbidden Love Series had ended that all of those sexy vamps and their mates where all right there for the ride. Now if you haven’t read the Forbidden Love Series I truly think Danielle James did an awesome job filling in the spaces that you could read this book as a standalone and understand what is going on the only thing that might be confusing is Michael and he is in Phoenix’s story which is an awesome book. Michael (Phoenix and Kellys son) is a Phoenix, something so rare it’s only fitting that he and Jade are mated. I knew once I start this book I was not going to stop until I got to the end. I was already laughing before the first chapter. There are some really funny moments and sayings in the book. I just think to myself where in the hell does she come up with some of these sayings. This book is a page turner and you want put it up till you’re done. Im now interested to see if Toni will get her book. Hint Hint…..Your going to love this book its a must read book and a must read series.

Jade knew he was coming, her mate. He just didnt know that yet. When Michael arrives, he is put through his paces, but no one except Jade knows his true value. Forces begin to conspire against them, but Fate has her plan, and it will be seen through, one way or another.

I joined Ms James beta reading group late, after Phoenix was released, and have not managed to read any of the early books. Ms James asked me not to. She had a "secret book" in writing, she said, and wanted someone who had not read the Fordidden Love series OR The Boston Clan series to look at this book with fresh eyes. Of course I said, feeling a little daunted by the task ahead of me, but excited all the same!

Jade is Angel and Brea's daughter, a born vampire, far more powerful than anyone else in the house, even Gage. Michael is Phoenix and Kelly's son, the second living phoenix in existance. He has his own powers, one of which is made very clear very early on. Others crop up as the book moves on, for both of them. Both Jade and Michael are now adults, and this book takes place a long time after Phoenix does, although its not made clear how old these two are, just that they are adults. Its very clear they arent teenagers though, so I'd pitch them very early 20s.

All the previous characters appear in this book, Angel, Brea, Sebastian, Jessica, Leigh, Rebel, Gage, Serena, Samuel, Azerial, Phoenix and Kelly, and a few surprises, too! And I loved that we get to hear from all the main characters, not just Jade and Michael. Some baddies have their say too, nasty pieces of work that they are!

The book is very fast paced, taking place over a few short weeks, but so full of action, you dont notice HOW fast it flies, til you are done. It is violent, yes, but with vampires, dragons, witches, fey, phoenix and all manner of paranormal things against an undead army, and the son of Lucifer hell bent on revenge, thats not surprising. Its super hot and sexy, where Jade and Michael are concerned, and, although its fairly tame, it still hits the spot! All too often you get lots of kinky paranormal sex, and sometimes, its rather refreshing NOT to read about it all! Emotions are the main thing here, and they are described in such a way that you get it, you really do!

You get, from almost everyone, how intenese their bonds are, not just to their respective mates, but to Jade and Michael, once its obvious what they are to each other, and the lengths they will go to protect them. And they do, they go, literally, across the world and back for them. Each one of them would lay their life down for Michael and Jade, and that comes across, beautifully. There are a few twists and turns, a few surprises for certain characters that THEY dont see coming, and it kept me on my toes, right til the end!

As I said, I was asked NOT to read any previous books, to look at this one with a fresh pair of eyes. I could follow what had happened in previous books, not exactly (cos recapping 6 or 7 books in their entirety would make this a long ass book) but the gist of those books came across loud and clear. NOW I will go back and read those books. I need, for my own personal satisfaction and NOT because I'm missing anything, to read them.

If you haven't read any of Ms James' books before, read this one. I read it in one sitting, did not do anything all day. :-)

5 full stars.

Danielle James’ Jaded: Full Circle is in all technical reader terms a continuation of her Forbidden Love series, but is at the same time the perfect introductory novel for readers new to the series. Between the original Forbidden Love series and the off-shoot Forbidden Love: Boston Clan, there are 8 novels that come before Jaded. Before reading Jaded, I had not read any of these and was able to fall so deeply into the world James created that I immediately sought out the original 8.

Jaded: Full Circle focuses on the children of characters introduced in previous stories, so if you are averse to learning about the future before you learn the past, I’d say start with the first book in the series and read them in order; but if you’re like me and have no issue with it, Jaded is a great introduction to the world of Forbidden Love.

Daughter of a vampire and a human, Jade has unparalleled power – she has glimpses of the future, but when it comes to her own future all she knows is who destiny has chosen as her mate. Son of the only phoenix in existence, Michael – trying to prove to his family he can stand on his own - is drawn to the compound where Jade resides. When Stephan - the son of Lucifer - embarks on a quest for revenge, Jade and Michael find themselves squarely in his crosshairs. They find themselves fighting for each other and their families as Stephan wreaks havoc in their lives.

Danielle James has created an intricate world of vampires, shape shifters, phoenix and other supernatural beings in expertly intertwined stories. The characters mesh together in the way that only a family can – even not related by blood, the characters form an intricate family tree. Her descriptions of each character and their personality made them transform from 2-dimensional words on a page to beautifully formed visions in my mind.

Following a tradition in paranormal/fantasy/sci-fi romance novels that I fully support, James’ women are not pushovers. From Jade to her and Michael’s mothers and ‘aunts’ each woman is depicted as strong, confident, and take charge while also being able to take moments here and there to be tender, caring and to rely on those around them.

I am so happy to have found Jaded: Full Circle and Danielle James as now I have another fascinating world to lose myself in with characters I gladly welcome into my heart and mind.

First off I would like to say that I received this book in exchange for an honest review. So now that the pleasantries let's get on with the main event, the review.

4 Paranormal Stars

This was the first book by this author that I have read and she won me over because now I need to read the rest of the books in the series. The book has vampires, dragons, angels, Lucifer, phoenixes, and lots of other fantasy creatures. Of course, there is love, action, adventure, and what book with vampires would be complete without a little biting. I enjoyed getting to read this book quite a bit.

The two main characters in this story are Jade, daughter of Angel (vampire) & Brea (human) and Michael, son of Phoenix (a phoenix) & Kelly (human/vampire, I believe). This is their tale and how they come to be. They find each other and then lose each other only to find each other again, but then someone comes in and pulls the rug out from underneath them for revenge.

Where there is light there is dark and this book seems to have a great combination of both intertwined to make a good love story. There is truly only one criticism I could give this book and it is the fact that the POV seems to jump around a little much for my taste. It doesn't distract from the story a lot, but for me personally I prefer to just have the POVs of just the main characters. Now that being said each of the characters possess special powers, and many can communicate through thought rather than out loud. So my point about the POVs may be moot.

Anyways great book! Definitely worth the read, and if you haven't you should read the other books in the series as well.

If you are a fan of the series you would have read about Jade growing up along side some of our favorite Knight men. From birth we all knew she was special. Her powers were unlike any of the ones in the clan and they knew she was destined for great things. We just didn't know what...till now.

I was a little nervous when I started to read this book because Jade was still a young woman to me. Almost a child of my own. I didn't know if I was ready for her to grow up, but Danielle does a great job with balancing her steamy abilities, that we all know she is capable of, and keeping Jade's spirit innocent...well not so much with the mouth that girl has but we all knew that was coming *WINK*

Let's not forget the action and suspense that Danielle James adds to her books that keep us on our toes. She does not disappoint in Jaded! And I don't think any other author out there can do what she does. All her characters stay true to their form; there is not one time where I felt she faltered in presenting her character's personalities.

You will laugh, your will get mad, you will cry, and you will feel your heart swell for the Knight clan once again as things come Full Circle!

5 *WINK* READ

*** ARC provided on behalf of the author for an honest review ***

Vampires. Witches. Phoenix’s, God. Heaven. Hell. Demons. Witchcraft, The Garden Of Eden.
We have never read this type of genre before.
What we thought after reading it.

Bloody brilliant.

Jaded is a story about love that was simply meant to be.
Jade a Vampire.
Michael a Phoenix.
Destined to be together.
They are mates.
But will they get their fairy-tale ending?
Who is out to destroy them?
And why?

Jaded is s brilliant read. As mentioned before, we have never read this type of genre before, but are we glad we did.

An emotional read. We laughed and cried. It made us mad and angry. It made us smile. It made our heart melt. Oh and made us hot, hot, hot (those sex scenes, damn!!)

Jaded was just all round an awesome read. Written so well with such intensity we couldn't put it down.

We highly recommend Jaded to be on your TBR list and we rate it 9 out of 10.

I loved Angel and Brea, but then fell for Phoenix and Kelly. I should have known Michael and Jade were going to steal my heart completed. From the opening scenes were I literally laughed out loud, to the heart wrenching scenes when Jade realized she'd been wrong, to the all out cat-fight where some very interesting insults are thrown into the mix between Jade and her cousin, Toni, to their coming together and fighting side by side, Jade and Michael are the ultimate Forbidden Love couple. Plenty of humor, suspense, love, good and evil, for even the most jaded reader. I recommend you read this book, and this series. Miss James continues to take us on a journey we thought was over. Thankfully it was not. Jaded is a must read for Forbidden Love series fans, but also for PNR fans who like strong women and deep family connection.

Beginning and End

I read the entire series in a matter of days. Yes, it was that good. I had hoped there would be more...Jade and Toni's story. Jaded is Jade's now all that is missing is Toni's. I hope it will be written because I feel it will "close the circle." If you haven't read the books, start from the beginning and read them all. They are not just great, but they bring out more good than evil in the characters. Ms. James did a terrific job and I hope to read more by this author.
