If you have nothing better to do than command a small squad (ok, a gang) of 3-10 members to achieve your nefarious wishes, then "Welcome to Necromunda".

In a game that can only be described as the mongrel offspring of Star Wars and Bladerunner (and that offspring was given a savage beating by Riddick), your imagination can run rampant.

Much like The Dirty Dozen, you create a team of misfits to take on the big, wide world (ok, the dirty, smelly underhive).

The additional short stories are a goldmine of entertainment, even if you don't play the game.

An astoundingly good small-unit action game wonderfully based in the underbelly of the dystopian Warhammer 40,000 universe, which provides a fantastic scaffolding for the game's progression system, allowing a gang of violent youths to ascend to (for those who had the excellent "retirement plan" Citadel Journal articles) an incredibly powerful underworld force capable of fighting regular military forces. Spiced with the satirical dark comedy that is the essential secret ingriedient of all Warhammers, Necromunda is a gem of a game and setting.
