I found this book at the thrift store and while I have been a fan of Van Gogh's work, I realized that I know little about him and his other works besides the ones that are really famous.
Reading this made me get to know and understand him better - no matter how eccentric and problematic he could be.
Frank Elgar is an excellent writer, poetic. I love how he leaves the reader with things to ponder, and encourages your own exploration of ideas. This was so informative and a greatly enjoyable read. I loved being able to reference van Gogh’s work as well.
