When one of Ayumu's teachers promises to give him a few clues about the Blade Children, the deceptively cute Rio, one of the Blade Children herself, ruthlessly murders the man in broad daylight. Faced with another brutal murder to solve and one step closer to finding out what the Blade Children really are, Ayumu and Hiyono find themselves the direct targets of Rio's malice. When her murderous plot backfires and Rio finds herself in the hospital, she challenges the visiting Ayumu to a life-and-death gamble, only to find herself face-to-face with Hiyono, who call's Rio's bet and raises her one!
This was for sure one of my favorite volumes of the series. The same as in the anime series, the bomb scene left me speechless. I think this was the best part of the entire series. I also really love all these metaphors about believing in yourself, tested in reality through simple game of minds. Hiyono was safe because she believed in Narumi's theory. Simply perfect. :)
Perkembangan plot yg baik.
me rereading volume 1: hmm maybe this series isn’t as exciting as i remember, i don’t think i’ll become addicted to it again narrator: she did, in fact, become addicted to it again
Muncul lagi anggota balde children yang baru.. namanya RIo Takeuchi. Meski udah SMA, tapi penampilannya kayak anak kecil. Aku suka penggambaran karakter Rio.
The mystery of the blade children really starts to get good and developed, with the newer characters getting more time in the spotlight and the murders ‘growing up’ and getting past the whole “high school mystery” genre into actual mysteries worth following. This is the volume that makes one glad that you stuck with the series and look forward to what is to come.
The plot thickens as Ayumu discovers new clues. When a to-be snitch is killed at school, Ayumu and Hiyono must uncover the murder fast! And oddly enough, all the evidence points to a... little girl?
