Three foster kids fall into Noah Maxwell’s lap and turns his life upside down. But he refuses to discuss his past pain, despite her desire to help him heal. Perhaps her love can inspire Noah to relinquish his independence and give Cara and the children the fairy-tale ending they all deserved.

Um, what? Why is the author reusing names of animals that have already been used in this series? It's only five books; it shouldn't be that hard to keep up with. The first book introduced a dog, Molly out on the Refuge. Now we have another dog, Molly. In real like, that would certainly be possible, but this isn't real life, and it's just too confusing. It happened again in a later book, when she reuses a name. (Bosco, or something like that) It's just confusing.

I love this series, and really enjoyed this book. The added dimension of a trial was interesting, and seemed pretty realistic. When prominent sports figures are accused of something, the reactions depicted here would be the ones I would anticipate. Cara is a wonderful character, and the changes in Noah are exciting. The only thing I found a little bit unrealistic was that one character was allowed to have three foster children so quickly. Yes, he had a background check already, and was also on the board of a foundation promoting foster care, but no mention was made of any type of training or home study being done. Having been involved in foster care myself, I think even emergency foster care placements have to complete those requirements also. The difficulty of placing three children together is extremely accurate. I can't wait to read the final two books in the Fostered By Love series.

Noah Maxwell is a successful businessman who owns a chain of pizzerias. One of his employees, Kalvin, steals from the cash register and, after running away, is hit by a car. Noah realizes that Kalvin is the sole support for himself and his two younger siblings, Rusty and Lindsay. Through the efforts of his new waitress, single mother Cara, Noah tries to adopt the three kids.

There's also a subplot about a group of college athletes who attack Cara and then face trial for their actions. This is a nice subplot about the hero worship athletes get in our society and how they often get away with committing crimes (Ray Lewis? Ben Roelisberger? Kobe Bryant?).

It's a good day's read if you're in the mood for contemporary Christian romance.

ebook from the library and a 3rd one in the Fostered by Love series. Noah and Cara's story. I had met these characters previously and caught up with bits n holes that I didn't know before. Some moments in the story were close to home experiences and gave me sometime to reflect and go to God to let Him heal the wounds.

The author Margaret Daley treasures time with her friends. Most or maybe all of her books are about romance. This connects to the book family ever after, because in this book there is romance, and in it a family is made.
This book came out in 2008, she wrote it while she isn’t traveling. She has been married for over 40 years, and is a strong believer in romance. This book is written in a time where Clara finds a mate, and kids like she always wanted. She wanted a family, and in this book she gets one.
The setting in this book starts when it is rainy, and Clara goes to a place to meet with her friend. Then later on in the book the weather is fine mostly, and it takes place where Clara is a house keeper for Noah, and the kids that he is currently taking care of.
Clara wants to settle down with a family, but she never expects that she will end up with Noah. She is a single mother of a son named Timothy. She doesn’t want to depend on someone else for anything. Noah doesn’t like the thought of taking care of the kids, at first he is a little to he cocky, about himself. Laura is Cara’s friend that invites Cara to stay with her till she finds a place to stay.
The theme goes along with family, in this book a family begins where you would never expect it to. It is about how a family is formed, and how the people change for the better, and they do it together.
Cara is going to visit her friend, and she is bringing her son Timothy. She only plans on staying a little while. That is till she finds a job, and helping some kids along the way. That is with the help of Noah. At first Cara, and Noah but heads, and don’t get along. Then they start to learn to get along and help each other along the way.
A metaphor in this book is “ he’d actually stared at Jessica’s salad, and thought of Clara’s green eyes.” This show’s that Cara’s eyes are green, like the salad Jessica was eating. There is also the idiom “ Their giggles sprinkled in the air.” This is an idiom because it is not being very literal in the meaning.
Some of my favorite quotes in the book are “ There's bound to be someone better than me who can be a foster parent to them.” , and “ So if I love you with all my heart you will stay” “and marry me.” They are both said by one of the main characters Noah. It show’s that he doesn’t think that he will be a good parent, but Cara believes in him. Also the other one shows that he wants to be with Cara forever.
