Latrice, Victoria, and Lyric are lost in Chicago's love diversions. Victoria seems to have a handle on her recent break up with her long-term beau, Taij. Rather than crying into her pillow every night, she's in the arms of one new piece after the next; turning her rage into sexual expression that earns her constant potential with the luxury of no-strings attached. Victoria's new control of her heart terribly clashes with Vince's undeniable interest in being more than her next booty call. However, Victoria's refusal to commit does not keep Vince from trying desperately to blow up the wall that she has rebuilt around her heart. As Victoria runs from Vince's attempts to woo her, Latrice has done the unthinkable: fell in love with the booty-call. After the unfortunate conclusion of her affairs with Damion and Tunde, Amiel was the perfect replacement; except for the pregnant wife and kid. Now she's ready for him to man up; to prove that he truly loves her by giving her the commitment and relationship that she needs, or move on. As Latrice dreams of commitment and marriage to the unavailable Amiel, Lyric and Bradley are preparing for the real deal. As Bradley and Lyric begin their happily ever after in the Beverly community of Illinois, Bradley is under the impression that he has chosen the perfect wife-to-be. Lyric struggles with this label as she figures out a way to quietly end the on-going love affair between her and Veronica; an affair that she has successfully perpetrated to her fianc as a simple platonic friendship. This madness entitled Love, Sex, Lies is only the beginning of this erotic tale. A sea of characters add their own two cents of drama and donate to the shocking and heartrending end of this cycle of affairs, obsession, and despair. With insertions of tantalizing eroticism, Love Sick is your ideal entertaining, emotive, and erotic daily retreat.

She obtained a Bachelors of Arts with Focus in Psychology from DePaul University and Masters of Applied Professional Studies with focus in Business Administration from the like institution. Working in Hospital Administration for the majority of her career, Watkins has also been an author of fiction literature since the young age of nine. Eventually she used writing as an outlet during her freshmen year of high school as a single parent: “In the third grade I entered a short story contest with a fiction tale of an apple tree that refused to grow despite the efforts of the darling main character. My writing evolved from apple trees to my seventh and eighth grade classmates paying me to read novels I had written about kids our age living the lives our parents wouldn’t dare let us”. At the age of twenty-eight, Watkins’ chronicles have matured into steamy, humorous, and realistic tales of women's literature. She hopes that The Epitome of Femistry series will successfully emulate ideal femininity while tackling stereotypes, familiar heartache, and relatable distress in a humorous, sophisticated, and erotic fashion.

I feel so bad for Lyric, i feel she made it clear what she wanted from the beginning. I’m so sad about Delilah she did have a bright future, Trice still ain’t told the man about his baby smh on to part 2
Love , a lot of Sex and tooo many lies = amazing book
At first the book started out very slow however each chapter picked up the HEAT ! the characters play their parts amazing. However the END threw me for a loop .. I love to see people make their self happy in books
The storyline remained consistent & interesting. The girls, although a tad bit older, continue looking for love. Vic seems to be hung up on Tiaj just like Tricey. She seems to have met a nice man but unsure if he is the one. Tricey is continuously failing to make it last forever with her current beau due to his obligations & Lyric is in a difficult situation...On to the next part in the series.
Tricey & Amiel give it up with this worthless relationship. Lyric & Bradley get married already and back off Veronica. Victoria & Vince please keep getting to know one another. Crystal & Sean, why? Jessica Watkins you started repeating verbatim page after page in the last two chapters, why?
I absolutely enjoyed reading Love Sick! Being enveloped in the lives of these three women: Tricey, Vic, and Lyric is just drama on another level. The story is so engaging and it's hard to stop reading. You just have to know what happens next. Looking forward to Love Hangover.
Poor writing and not very interesting. Why does urban mean ghetto. Why can't a story be set in an urban environment but have substance and the characters learn to speak proper english. No more "urban" books for me.
Great plot, easy to follow. Very interesting choices of lifestyles for each character. Hate that lyric lost the girlfriend Veronica, and fiance Bradley.
