Great book to read to kids about complaining. It has fun cartoons to illustrate the message but also very thoroughly discusses the issue of complaining in a clear, age-appropriate (although secular) way. I love how my nearly five year old child has requested this two nights in a row.

I'd actually like to leave this one in the breakroom at work! It points out some obvious truths that many adults forget, including that your attitude and perspective can make or break your day. Also asks that solutions be provided with complaints.

This is a series of books that I got through scholastic when my daughter was first born. I did not think she would even look at these books until she was older and I really did not think she would want to read them voluntarily considering the topics. But, to my surprise she actually enjoys them and will pick it as a bedtime read. This one deals with complaining in a easy to understand format with helpful pictures. It makes it easy for a mother to describe an abstract concept like complaining to a small child in a way that does not make them feel bad about themselves but does get the point across.

We had several books by Joy Wilt Berry including most of the "Survival books" when I was growing up that my mother had passed on to me. I highly recommend this author for books for young children. She approaches the topic in a straight forward manner explaining the words and concepts and then giving concrete instructions on what to do. Right now we are reading some of the books aimed at younger children and my son picks them out on his own at story time.

Such a great book for kids and adults to read together!! Joy Berry has a wonderful way of bringing things to a kids level to help them understand things better. Sometimes as an adult we forget kids see and process the world differently than us.

This series is wonderful for any home or classroom! I want them for he community center where I work!!

Children can get into a habit of complaining when they do not get their way or they are unhappy. A Children's Book About Complaining gives examples of consequences when children complain excessively and ways to improve attitudes. It also points out the sometimes complaining can be done in a positive manner to improve situations.
