An Introduction to Health Psychology presents theory through an appreciation of how society and culture impact in practice. It focuses on three broad * Health, health behaviour and staying healthy * Becoming ill and using healthcare * Being ill and the impact on the individual and their families. The book covers all mainstream health psychology topics and also provides coverage of crucial contemporary issues such as cross-cultural dimensions of health and illness. Chapters are structured logically and explanation delivered with real clarity. This is the book that will engage and teach students in an entirely new way.
I would recommend this book as a must have textbook if you are studying Health Psychology. It's very well written. It helped me understand everything that confused me from what I was being taught at university lectures. It's also helpful for exams as it gave me the basic idea of what a theory was all about, what was expected of me to know, what research so far had revealed etc. and then I just went online, found articles and built on that knowledge.
Read the whole book hastily for an exam. I think the presentation of subject matters was not very engaging, seemed rather superficial to me (oh well this is an introductory textbook so that can be - but in any case i've read better introductory textbooks).
Cover bukunya asikkk...betapa segitu rentannya menjaga keseimbangan kesehatan...
