Can Xander outmanoeuvre her or, with the odds stacked against him, should he walk away? Is everything always black and white? Or do grey areas exist? Xander is forced to regret holding his cards so close to his chest but, when all is revealed, will he be left holding the winning hand? Short bio: UK based, bestselling Indie author of contemporary romance … otherwise known as elegantly filthy erotica. Shoeaholic. Introvert. Prude. Teetotaler. Compulsive Liar ... well, not about the shoes. I never lie about shoes!!

UK bestselling author of the Passion Noire, Rouge Passion and Orion the Hunter series. Not your average romance novelist ... but then, who wants to be average?

I love reading - almost as much as I love writing.. I relish the sheer escapism of losing myself in a book that grips me and takes me on an emotional roller coaster. I regularly mourn the passing of a good book - am I the only one who turns the pages more slowly when you don’t want a great book to end?

I love a good steamy romance and I adore sexy alpha males. I also have more than a passing interest in BDSM (nod, nod … wink, wink). One day, I put pen to paper (well fingers to keyboard, actually) and the Orion the Hunter series was born. Little did I know that, at that moment, I was sewing the seeds of change. For, just a few months later, as a somewhat bewildered Amazon Kindle bestselling Indie author, I quit my career as an education professional to write full time. Scary stuff, I think you’ll agree.

2013 was a very difficult year for me for personal reasons. It taught me how fragile life is and how important it is to grab it with both hands and ride the hell out of it. So in 2014, I began my comeback with the Amazon #1 Bestselling Erotica/Romantic Erotica bestselling series, Rouge Passion. I also met many of my favourite authors and so many lovely readers at my first signing event in Edinburgh. I flipped Stu Reardon’s kilt! Happy days …

I have big plans for 2015. I’m signing at several more author events around the UK and I’m pouring my heart and soul into what I consider my best series yet - by far! Cue Passion Noire, a three part series revolving around La Veuve Noire - a sexual therapist by day and a desirable Domme by night. But fear not, sexy alphas are still on the menu. I mean … this is me!

This is the second and last book in the Rouge Passion series and bloody hell, I was hooked! Although I really enjoyed book #1, this second book was brilliant!

It picks up right where we were left off in book #1 and Isla cannot believe that she's been duped again! Worse still, she feels like the bad guy in this situation, her own nightmare turned reality. Feisty as ever, Isla is determined to make someone pay and she knows just how she's going to do it.

However, once her temper is set alight, it has some far reaching and mortifying consequences and I've got to be honest, I was just about on the floor with laughter at times.
Once her temper settles to a simmer, will she be able to listen to the reasons or will all she hears, be excuses?

This is a real rollercoaster and I've got to be honest, at times, I wanted to slap Isla but throw in a mega-bitch and my blood was boiling!
Of course I still had the deliciously dirty Xander to set my blood on fire for a whole different reason...he is still hot, hot, hot!
Ooh! There's a huge tough ex-marine too...just in case your hormones weren't already raging!

So now the fight is on. With exes, bitches, bimbo staff members, a back stabber or two and some of the most panty-drenching sex scenes you'll come across, this is a definite must read!

~~~Sharlene's Review~~~
The Redeemer is the second book in the Rouge Passion series. I definitely felt more connected and understanding of the characters in this book than I did in the first one. Isla and Xander's story ramps up in this one and I felt it was more complete than the first. Characters and storyline were much more developed and believable. With the exception of the "LVN", I felt all the characters were believable and true to life. Still a lot of push and pull between the 2 main characters. Not many grammar errors in this ARC compared to others I have read, which really impressed me. Author really seemed to get into these characters more in this book than in the first one. Still quite a bit of dirty talking and body markings in the sex scenes Would have liked to have seen more first hand interaction with Janine but they weren't necessary to the storyline.
~~~Zarah's Review~~~

I received this title courtesy of Sweet and Sassy Book-Aholics for an honest review

It's hard to review without giving to much away. J.D.Chase picks up and follows on seamlessly from book 1 - The player with another action packed story full of twists and turns, Ex's and One night stands, Secrets and revenge!

After making her feelings on cheating perfectly clear, we learn Xander's secret and his deception is beyond devastating. Now after a alcohol fuelled night, Isla now has secrets of her own and it is obvious where the next book will go - I hope.

I love the fact that she exacts her revenge on Xander but that she is not the total bitch that she could have been (or i would have been given the circumstances) - kicking a man when he's down is totally not cool.

All in all a very good story from this author once again with all the super hot, dirty talking raw sex that we have come to expect from Xander and Isla. I really really liked it.

~~~Michelle's Review~~~
The Redeemer is Book #2 in the Rouge Passion series. This book picked up with bombshell that was dropped in book #1. Xander is married and Isla is out for blood. This book had more suspense and was much more fast passed that the first. I was on the edge of my sit trying to figure what Isla was going to do and how Xander was going to get himself out the disaster he created.
Isla manages to keep Xander away from her and the hotel for a short while with the help of some very sexy Ex-Marines (sigh). After a night of too much drinking and a lot of regret Isla takes off to drive the open road to clear her head. She stops to get gas and is blindsided when Xander shows up and corner’s her. He begs Isla to hear him out and thank god she did because I needed to know what was going on with him…
After hearing his story Isla goes back with him and once they return to the hotel…all hell breaks loose....Insert soon-to-be ex-wife, ex-boyfriend, paternity test, lies, betrayal and more sex…You will be taken on a rollercoaster ride of emotions – I laughed, cried, and was pissed all within the same chapter. This book has it all and I loved it even more than book 1.
J.D. Chase did an excellent job once again with the main & secondary characters. The connection to the characters was much better than the first book. Each one played off the other and it made for an amazing read. The only thing I did not like about the book is how it ended! I wanted to throw my e-reader and yell… There is so much unfinished storylines that involve Isla & Xander that, in my opinion, should have been completed in this book as there is no future book 3 planned. I hope J.D. Chase gives us a little a novella to see what happens.
~~~~~Kims Review!~~~~~

I received an ARC of this book for an honest review.

This is the second book in the Rouge Passion Series and in my opinion it is by far a lot better than the first! We start where book one left off which is Isla just found out that Xander has been married all along and also duh duh duh.... His wife's pregnant!!! This isn't good as Xander already knows Islas' feelings about infidelity!

As the saying goes 'Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned!', Isla certainly does us ladies proud on her rampage for revenge! With so much more to the story line, so much drama going on I loved this book!

I certainly connected more with the main characters than I did when I read The Player. I just felt that much more in tune with their feelings.

Without giving too much away I can say that not everything is as straight cut as it seems with the affair and baby situation! I was definitely close to throwing my kindle at the wall on more than one occasion! Just when I relaxed and was looking forward to a good old HEA another twist is added! Loved loved loved the drama!

I still feel there's more questions to be answered about Isla and Xander and am hoping for more from JD Chase!

The first book in this series left me with a cliffhanger of the worst kind. I couldn't wait to get stuck into this book as I was eager to see what would happen next between Isla and Xander. I found myself rushing through the first few chapters looking for the answers that I so desperately needed but JD Chase sure knows how to test my patience... I felt like I was waiting forever!! Lol

Isla was left heartbroken after she discovered Xander's secret and was struggling to pick up the pieces of both her personal life and her career. She was angry and hurt which (unfortunately for Xander) was a wicked combination for someone who wanted revenge.
I was right-all men are bastards. He made me forget that. And for what?
Although I felt sorry for Isla, I couldn't help but feel that maybe she was dealing with her situation entirely the wrong way. I was certain that Xander must have an explanation and I hoped that she would give him the chance to redeem himself. I truly longed to see this couple back together again, after all, I am an hopeless romantic! LOL.

Finally, Isla managed to get some answers from Xander and I was so relieved. I began to have faith that things would get back on track for the pair but then along came more drama! There was so much going on in this story that I began to feel dizzy and that was before yet another twist. A twist that caused even more trouble between the couple. To be honest, I was feeling a little disappointed in how this story was going.
"How long until the next time, Xander? How can I know you'll be there when I need you?"

In "The Player" I found that I really liked Isla but in this book, I began to feel frustrated with how she was handling everything. She appeared to give up so easily. Where was the independent, feisty woman that fought for what she wanted? I was willing her to fight for the man that she loved.
"You said you have no choice but to walk away from me. But you do, you're the only one with any choice."

Once again Xander completely confused me. There was part of me that loved him. When he turned on his gentle, romantic side I couldn't help the swooning that occurred, however when he was in the mood for dirty talk, I found myself feeling utterly put off by him. Xander's style of bedroom talk was just not for me. I found that his foul mouth went a bit too far.
"I should have known better. You greedy, filthy bitch. You've just made my cock angry. Very angry."

Once I'd finished this story, I realised that it did not deliver in the way that I had hoped. Although there were some good parts that I loved, there was a large part of the story that I did not enjoy, especially the endless amount of times when the characters were reflecting on their actions and arguing with themselves. That style of writing drove me crazy! I also felt that this story was a little rushed. It makes me so sad to say this because I truly loved the first book. Despite me feeling disappointed with the story overall I did love the ending. It was the perfect ending for Xander and Isla and I read the final few pages with a smile on my face.
"You're mine, Isla Hamilton. I own you. Every inch of your flesh-inside and out-is mine."

FIVE SUPERLATIVE STARS

Kindle Friends Forever. Sharon Thérèse Nuttall and Rachel McEwan's review.

Well Sharon, the release of this book couldn't come soon enough after the author left us hanging in the first book, The Player. Isla had discovered Xander’s secret and she was going all out for revenge! I loved Isla’s feistiness in book 1 so I knew she wouldn't let us down, watch out Zander, she’s one pissed off lady!

I’ve been thinking a lot about this book since I finished reading it Rachel. In fact, I can honestly say that the author’s masterful writing and her solid storyline has made me lose sleep over it, too. Why you may ask. Well, apart from Ms Chase’s originality and style, I just loved the two protagonists. And there is no doubt whatsoever that she is an expert in making one suffer right up until the last moment. Read on and you will see why. This follow-up to The Player cannot be read as a standalone. I did compare the previous book to the English comedy series, Fawlty Towers. However, The Redeemer is so much more serious. And what’s your opinion Rachel?

I loved this book probably more than the first. The best part of this book is the author’s brutishness which just oozes from the page. It’s so refreshing to see a British writer using a British setting and language, I loved it! The banter was hilarious too, which just shows how talented this author is to integrate it into the story as really the story is about Isla seeking revenge for Zander betraying her trust so hats off to the author.
Not only were there times when I was totally horrified with Isla’s actions, but the comical situations and banter also had me laughing out loud. To say there were moments when I was panic stricken would most definitely be an understatement!

As you've just said Rachel, Isla is more than pissed off with Xander. This dirty, but really dirty mouthed, drop-dead gorgeous man’s timing is totally up the creek. He thought he was in control, but by not coming clean will in fact, affect their relationship. Yes, he was well aware what Isla thinks about cheating! So once she discovers what he’s been holding back, she thinks the worst. This fiery redhead and headstrong woman jumps to conclusions. She’s got the will of iron and refuses point blank to listen to reason. And Xander? His traits blossom in the most peculiar way when he finds out he’s persona non grata. In his own hotel, too! Even though Isla is the only woman to touch his medulla, to rock his world, he absolutely refuses to let her get away with daylight robbery. Who is the legal owner of the hotel Passion Rouge and the beloved car sitting pretty in the hotel grounds beckoning one of them to take a spin? Who spins a tale or two is Isla, and wow, she’s going to do it with style! She fools all the staff into thinking she is the victim and more besides. How Xander is going to put this all right is the backbone of the story. She’s going to put him through hell and high water. Tsunami level I might add. Hurdles will be thrown in their way, and while all this conflict is going on, secrets are revealed.

Isla isn’t an angel either! Why? Maybe the barman, Dean, Rachel? I absolutely fell in love with him in the last book because he is so normal! His reactions are quite understandable for a guy so besotted. Nevertheless, he’s got a lot to learn about females’ cravings. Does he take advantage of a weak moment? Does he put his foot in it in a heated moment? You will only find out by reading this abso-frinkin’-lutley marvellous book. I could go on and on. The Barbie gals are always game for a bit of gossip. The porter needs sacking, and Isla needs Xander! He needs her!

Ohh Sharon, that part of the book really got me worried, I almost stopped reading because I dare not read what would happen next! Throughout the book, Isla is so torn between wanting Zander and doing the right thing and staying away from a married man. She undoubtedly loves him but will her scruples win or will she look for grey in a not no black and white situation?

The sex Sharon! I can’t believe we haven’t mentioned the sex! Well this review cannot be finished without it! Wow, I’m surprised my Kindle didn’t spontaneously combust as the sex were hot with a capital H! Ms Chase, you really do know how you write the steamiest and dare I say dirtiest sex scenes but then you are writing about Zander Rhodes, and he is one filthy alpha male!

QUOTE: “There’s no way I'm letting you turn me down twice in one day. All work and no orgasms is not good for your mental health, Red. Listen to your pussy. It wants my cock. It wants to make your back arch as it clenches around it, trying to milk my balls dry. Ooh, just the thought is making my cock twitch.”

Figuratively speaking; if I’d felt like strangling my Kindle at the end of The Player Rachel, this read made me think about stabbing the author with my best kitchen knife! To draw out so many emotions in me is a feat in itself. Saying that, a few questions are left unanswered. Will the author clarify my doubts about how both parties cope with the bare truth? I sincerely hope so. My rating of this book is without a doubt, five stars. One word to sum up; BRAVO!

I definitely have to agree with you Sharon. Bravo is the word I would use! This book made me laugh out loud, cringe, squirm and gasp. And I do love a book that makes me feel so much. Also, I think that JD owes us a couple of new knickers. Mmmm…the unanswered question. I really hope that it is addressed in any future books the author has planned. I would be very interested to see how that plays out.I

QUOTE: ‘’And then you walked into my life and awakened something inside me. Sure, at the time, I thought it was purely a sexual awakening but I later realised that it was more than that. It was hope, and I clung to it like a drowning man clings to a life raft in a raging storm. You were the lifeboat and to tell you everything would have meant risking letting me go of my life raft without knowing whether the lifeboat would hang around to save me. And trust me, Red, by then I was tired and water was lapping above my mouth. I couldn’t risk it’’

I don't want to follow the trend in reviewing this book so maybe I should rate it 4.999999999999 instead of 5....nah it deserves the full five huge stars!

The biggest problem I have is to review this book without giving too much away.
Well it started where we were left in the first book, moving things along nicely. And boy do they move! Isla, the wrong redhead to mess with is out for payback, needing to take her revenge out on Xander and she...she...ok you need to read it!
Then there is Xander who has always had my panties in a bunch...but in such a great way. He is arrogant, his mouth is dirty and he's hot hot hot! UGH...I want to tell you so much about this book, about the story, about the characters but I can't! So you need to hurry up and read it so I can talk about it!

So let me tell you about the stuff I can! The writing...well let me tell you that its amazing! I totally got lost in the pages of this book, it's one of those books that you start and then kinda forget to pick up your kids from school because you are so into it! The way the story was told was seamless, the character development making me fall for the characters more and falling for some new people along the way. There were times I was laughing and then other times I wanted to throw my kindle in frustration, but to me that makes the best book.
So to sum this up...you all need to read this book...like now...like maybe start it yesterday!!
Oh and if there are requests being taken can someone buy me a Xander! :)

I liked Xander so much better in this second book. If you read the The Player, you know that Xander has a big secret.

Now that the secret has been revealed, he has to win her back and tell Isla the truth.

There's still some dirty talking, but it's not as distracting as it was previously.

XANDER IS BACK!

Yeah, baby!

What an ending The Player had! We left Isla a scorned woman for the second time in less than a year.

What does she do? How does she cope? Does she get her revenge? Or does Xander get redeemed?

I am not here to give spoiler after spoiler but it's difficult to write a review without ruining it for those who are yet to enjoy getting back into the mind of Isla.

I love her thinking; I love her deviousness; I love her fiercely independent self and I love her quick thinking.

Xander. What can I say about Xander? He is the dirty talking man of the hour. But he is torn, broken and despairing at the situation. It was humbling to see him brought down a peg or two but it doesn't last long - we can't go long without his unique verbal foreplay!!

I have been left with questions BUT since the news of a sidelining series - Passion Noire - man, I can only hope these questions get answered!

Oh, and JD, the bit before the epilogue - HATE YOU! The epilogue - LOVE YOU AGAIN!

What a waste of money.

Sex. That was literally the only thing about this story that was interesting. The story itself was beyond boring and SO utterly predictable. Xander is married! Shocker. He claims the marriage was dead and his pregnant wife's baby isn't his since he's sterile but stayed with her until the baby was born safely. But he hid it all from Isla knowing her hangup about cheating. Big surprise when she dumps him, sleeps with Dean, then gets back together with Xander the very same day. Oh, oh! And let's not forget the part where he leaves the paternity test sample with his gold-digging cheating soon-to-be ex to collect the baby's sample because it was sleeping. It's not like she'd do anything to alter the results since she's so trustworthy. Seriously? Come on. If you can't guess what happens when the results come back you deserve to waste your money to find out. Ugh.

I was lucky enough to win the chance to read this before it comes out next week on amazon. I finished it in 2 days! I won't give anything away but I assume of you are looking at this review you have read the first book in this series. So, without giving anything away I will say that this book was hard for me to put down. It was intriguing and the author has a talent of making you feel like you are a part of the characters. Isla is a wonderful mix of strong and vulnerable, she doesn't take crap from others but yet is easy to love. Xander is more developed in this book, you get a better look into his feelings and reason for actions. The story is constantly moving and never a dull moment! Whether you are a fan of dirty talk or rough sex play, It is only a piece of a much larger story of the grey area of relationships and love. It makes one think "what would I do".

This starts where The Player ends and Isla is out for revenge. A woman scorned certainly applies to her. She goes all out in her need to hurt him. The anger and hurt are palpable. It's written in a way thats realistic and completely sucks you in. Refusing to listen to Xanders side of the story, which really annoyed me, to the point I was shouting at my kindle, she starts trying to destroy his life, starting with the hotel. This book really is a rollercoaster read. And very funny. Isla's comment about what she worships had me literally crying with laughter. It's the best line in the book. It made me laugh, cringe, and get so mad. And of course the lovely Xander is back as his disgustingly dirty talking best. A brilliant conclusion to a fantastic series.

A lady scorned in love can be a dangerous entity and Isla is no exception! after finding out Xander's secret she's hell bent on revenge -cue some hot hotel hilarity-
I'm going to start my review with an enthusiastic round of applause!
The Redeemer had some ambitious shoes to fill, after all, The Player was one of my favourite summer reads, but not only did it live up to my expectations...it smashed them! Exceptionally well written, the character progression was true to the initial book, seductive as hell and left me literally begging for more!!
At no point did the storyline become strained or constricted my only criticism is that it had to end!
Brilliance from the first page, right to the last!
5 stars!!!

We pick up right where we left off in The Player at that cliff hanger ending. And that force behind the cliff hanger just carried on into The Redeemer as our female lead is not a woman to be messed with. The writing in this book was as great as in The Player and i cannot tell you too much as it will ruin it but Isla is a great strong character.I laughed, i got angry with Xander and i so want you to read this book.It is just as hot as the first, their is a channel of revenge running deep through it and Isla is right to go after it. But most of all it is a book that just needs reading, i think if you are still undecided you should binge read books one and two back to back :) To say anymore will be ruining the experience for you.

A great follow up to The Player.
Isla was out for revenge following her discovery about Xander...not giving him the opportunity to explain she was hell bent on destruction. Isla was sexy, stubborn and infuriating at times but I did understand to a degree...I mean what would you do in that position?
Xander was still very much a dirty boy and I loved him for it..I felt his despair coming through the pages and I was rooting for him throughout this book.
I loved the 'Englishness ' of this book...the roads...the tractors...yes I could sympathise!
So in conclusion...a brilliant book...sexy....funny...heartbreaking...totally satisfying!
I want more!

Wow J.D.Chase you really took me on a wild ride with this one. This is the second and final book in the Rouge Passion series and it starts exactly were we we're left with book one. Its quite hard to review without giving away spoilers so I will just say absolutely loved the filthy talking Zander, and i felt in this book we we're able to get to know him a little better.
If i have one complaint it's that I feel there could be another book based around the main characters as although there isn't a cliff hanger at the end I need more of Zander......lots more please.

What to say????

Ive been left in a total state of mind blowing conclusions .....

We pick up exactly where we left off in book number one The Player.

Isla and Xander's journey through both of these books has never been an easy one for them to travel and navigate and book number two doesn't come without its own twists, turns and dilemmas !

Jamie makes a return appearance and we find out a little more of his back story ....

And ... Xanders ..

Xander and Isla have many more decisions to make ...

As always this is a spoiler free review ladies .....

It made me laugh, cringe, and get so mad. And of course the lovely Xander and his dirty talking has me all hot and bothered. A brilliant conclusion to a fantastic series. Loved this book seeing Isla back with her sassiness and dirty mouth and Xander only too willing to give into her dirty mouth !!! LOVED IT !!!! Really hope there is a book 3 xx

4 Stars. I enjoyed book two of the rouge passion story. The hero is a arrogant, cocky, self assured, dirty mouth alpha but also very likable. The heroine is intelligent, strong, feisty, independent and stubborn. The story was told from third person POV and moved quickly as well as was quite entertaining. Again we have some real steamy, raunchy sex. All in all, it was an enjoyable read.

Once a cheater....even if he knew his wife had cheated the fact is he didn't divorce her for what ever reason. Once he didn't give Isla the choice of knowing he was married he in forced that. It doesn't matter that he thought she was just a quick lay that just makes it worse. Isla is a by the books kind of girl she wouldn't have let him off the hook so fast. And let's be for real here he gave her the paternity test to turn in unreal. Xander is a control freak and asshole.Then you end the book without giving us any real answers. What about Dean? Is he really going to get away with blackmail? And what will they do about Jamie and Janine? When will he get his divorce? Will she get half of everything? questions Is all I got from this second part of the story. Bad enough it was two parts as it was.And Xander's dity talking is not sexy at all it's just vulgar and takes away from the story. Oh and let us not forget all the grammatical errors.

I struggled with book 1 thinking it would have to improve in this book. Again very repetitive, both leads so flaky and inconsistent!

What a bloody amazing story!

J.D. Chase has done it again – this book was bloody brilliant! It is full of more twists and turns than a rollercoaster ride and will keep you guessing right up until the end! I absolutely adored this book. Chase’s character development is flawless, her characters believable and hot as hell!

The Redeemer picks up right where The Player left off and after learning of Xander’s secret Isla is a woman scorned with nothing on her mind by revenge! We are not talking a little cutting up his trousers and undercrackers revenge, o no that’s too tame for our red headed fire cracker, we are talking earth shaking revenge! It can never be said that Isla is one to take bad news lying down, she fights back with more force than a Nissan GTR! WARNING: her payback will leave you laughing and fist bumping the air Breakfast Club Style)! Whilst witnessing the most vindictively awesome revenge I have ever witnessed, we see Isla fighting with herself to see and talk to him which again reiterates her strength as she is able to deny herself the one thing she wants and needs in order to protect her heart.

I have to admit despite Xander’s secrets I cannot help but feel sorry for him! Chase made me love him so I struggle with him doing anything wrong! I absolutely loved seeing the vulnerable side to him, a complete contrast to the cocksure, sexy as hell alpha male we see in The Player – it shows the reader his true feelings for Isla and how much he needs her in his life. HE’S PERFECT, flawed BUT PERFECT! Even through all of the pain and heartache (for the both of them) the sexual chemistry between Xander and Isla is an undeniable inferno! You could feel the heat emanating from my kindle!
ANOTHER WARNING: Remember Jamie – we hate him, to find out you have to read – my lips are sealed!

I was on tenterhooks throughout the whole story because, despite being called The Redeemer, I just did not know how it was going to end. Every time I thought I knew the answer BAM! another twist – I was emotionally exhausted after this amazing book, I completely lost myself to it (I laughed, wanted to throw my kindle in frustration, cry, everything!).

If I had to point out a flaw with this book, it is that it ended! However, it has been left rather open so….. Ms Chase can I please have more Xander!

WOW! What a roller coaster! This is part 2 and it begins right where we left off in book 1. Book one ends in a cliffy so I really needed to know what was going to happen and boy did the author deliver with all the happenings. There was so much going on in this part, I felt like I could not look away for a second or I would miss something important. There was a whole lot going on and you definitely need to read book one to be able to follow the story, you will definitely be lost without reading part one.
I loved that in this part Isla was very stubborn, not that she isn't in part one, but in this part because of what Xander did she went on a vengeful rampage and I loved it, it was really fun to read all the things she did. The only part I had a bit of a hesitation was when she was with Dean, I didn't really liked that she was not herself then, but it ended up not being a big issue in the end, it gets resolved and quickly goes out of your mind.
Xander was a bit different in this part of the story, and I am not saying different in terms or not being as dirty talking as he was in part one, nothing like that, I just noticed that we got a different side of him, we get to know him a bit better and we see more emotions from his character, I really liked that a lot. He was still a dirty talker, the biggest one ever, the kind that can easily win an award. Isla was also a dirty talker and they made a great pari, they are the perfect couple.
The story ends with a HEA. There is some romance but mostly this part of the story has a lot of mystery and things get revealed and discovered. Isla and Xander were in love since part one but I think Xander really showed in this part that he was crazy in love with her and would never let her go no matter what. There were a lot of emotions in this part of the story and of course lots of sex with plenty of steam. In a scale from 1 to 10 in the hot side I give this book a 20 and it made me blush a few times as well.
Recommended to all that have read book one, this part will not disappoint.

HOLY CRAP!!!

In my review of The Player (Rouge Passion #1) I mentioned that Isla is a fiery red head who is a force to reckon with when her mind is set on something…that woman is pure evil genius!!! As much as I loved her in the first book…I loved her more in this one!!!

The Redeemer picks up right where The Player left off…remember the gaping mouth of shock…ya well buckle up for a wild ride and to toss a few fist bumps Isla’s way!!!

So much happens in this book and I don’t want to give anything away but hell…I rated book #1 a 4 star and it was fantastic…this one is an 8+!!! You get betrayal, revenge, vengeance, scheming….OMG I was on the edge of my seat and literally read until my eyeballs were burning and I had to quit!!

Isla…love her, feel sorry for her, feel sorry for those who cross her…eeeeeeep!

Xander…love him, hate him, want to slap him upside the head several times…grrrrrr!

Dean…ick, just wrong…not a fan of this sweet guy turned into an arse because he REALLY messes up!

To boot…you get to meet a few new characters that will have your skin crawling in more ways than one both good, bad, and indifferent but I will NOT give any spoilers so you will just have to read it to find out!!!

With the emotional roller coaster, cliff dives, and even more mind blowing sex filled with dirty talking JD will have your panties in a bunch with this one…I am pretty sure that was the goal, which was totally and utterly met and exceeded!!! I F’N LOVED this book so much…I need more like yesterday!!! If you liked The Player (Rouge Passion #1) you will LOVE The Redeemer so get your one-clickers working loves and enjoy the ride!!!

4 stars

I loved book one The Player, which ended on a great big cliffy - I love cliffhangers
So I was eager to see how this panned out !
This is a book of two halves and two Xanders !
The first half of the book was a bit slow, I found it a bit hard going mainly because of the absense of Xander, but it hotted up when he made he's return- God that man and he's dirty mouth !!!!!!!!!
Second half I found much more to my taste, yes Xander was back !
In this book we see a different side to Xander, almost vulnerable and at times naive, at one point in the book I wanted to scream " no you idiot" I could see clearly what was going to happen even if Xander couldn't. Isla is much stronger in this book too, she has to dig deep into herself to understand that not everything is black and white, sometimes there are grey areas, but can she forgive Xander?
I did enjoy this story even though at times it feels like the same subject is rehashed over and over and I did guess the ending too, but Xanders sexual exploits made up for that, I also loved the character La Veuve Noir – black widow - I wanted more of her, loved Isla reaction to her wished JD had explored that in this book but there is more of her to come in 2015 !

***************************MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS************************

The first book's ending gutted me I wasn't expecting it so I eagerly started this one. Our girl can only take so much before cracking and this book I was team Isla, "that’s it," she muttered. "I’ve really had enough of today, it can eff right off. I need that drink." I eagerly kept turning pages to see what would come next. There were times I wondered if Xander liked keeping his woman out of her clothes, "damn it. I have no clothes here. Could you grab them for me, please?" she asked, standing in front of the mirror and trying to detangle her bed hair with her fingers. Xander stepped behind her, pressing his morning wood into her back as he grabbed her breasts roughly." Secretly I think Xander likes his woman fiery passion that sparks out in and out of the bedroom, "Jesus Christ, woman, I take it back. You don’t play hardball, you rewrite the effing rulebook. I don’t think I’ll bother hiring the finest legal counsel that money can buy to deal with my divorce, I’ll just send you. Janine will end up giving me everything and more, just to get you out of there." I'm really glad things worked out I like Xander and Isla together.
