I have been a writer all of my life, but finally decided to lose my mind and do something about it at 46 years old. I am currently hard at work on a contemporary suspense/mystery novel entitled "Marble Summer Riot"

I have a degree in psychology. It qualifies me for nothing, but pretending that I know why you are acting the way you are.

3.5 Stars.

I really enjoyed the premise of this story. I found the cult to be pretty believable. I would have liked to know more about them (hoping for that in the next book :D). Sharp drops us into the world of a group of adolescent nerds and builds up the suspense to a breaking point. He really gives you the feeling of how difficult it is to realize you can no longer be a child. His details bring you deep into the story.

There area few nitpicks. I would have liked to know more about the cult and have Richie learn more about them as well. I felt that at the climax, Richie knew more than he should have. I wanted this shown more in the story. There were also several places where words were repeated a lot. I also felt that there were some parts of dialogue that felt a little out of character.

Overall, this is a fun quick read that will tempt your intellect and tear out your heart.

I finally got to the epic ending of this amazing book! I had started to read The List of Five a few months ago and I had to (almost literally) tear myself away from it to finish up a few projects. I finally opened it up to read the end and I was so glad I did!

The main character Richie and the rest of the cast are three dimensional and easy to become interested in. The plot and pace are right on. I really enjoyed the way the book moved from scene to scene.

The characters feel so real--interactions between them seem like something you'd see between people you know in real life and it really takes the book to another level.

You're always wondering what is going to happen next and that means you'll likely read as fast as possible to find out how it ends, and oh man, is it worth it. Can't give away any spoilers, but anyone who like horror with a bit of witty humor will love this.

*A complimentary copy of this ebook was gifted to me by the author in exchange for my honest review.*

I was really excited to start this book but when I did, I really couldn't get into it. I thought it was slow. However, that really only lasted three pages in and I was hooked!! Since this is a Novella, it's a short read. There was so much suspense that I found myself glued to my Kindle just flipping through to get there to the end to see how it all plays out. Even though this story is not all sunshine & rainbows, I do hope that the author has more in store for Richie Lyons. You cannot just end it like that!! There HAS to be more!! It's an awesome read. The 80's, the 90's, D&D, prophecies, occults, good vs evil, & FIRE!! It all comes together to make a really cool read. It's a coming of age story that's pretty damn intriguing. Go forth & read it, you'll be wanting more.

This was my first time reading this author and he just grabbed me right from the start. Once I started the book, I couldn't put it down. The story is very fast paced and I kept wondering what was going to happen next.

The list of Five is the story of Richie Lyons, a thirteen year old boy who wakes up on his birthday with five names on his brain. As the plot progresses, you begin to wonder if Richie is he losing his mind? Is he going crazy?

The book is a spellbinding thriller that will keep you on the edge of your seat. The good guy always wins, but not without paying a price.

It took me a while to get into the book. But once he started getting the dreams, I was intrigued. I might have not cared for the D and D explanations though, but that's just me. Found a number of mistakes, but definitely got me interested to read the next book!
