Disappointing. I enjoyed the previous books in the series (even though Kale, the love interest, really really fucked me off in the second book) but Faceless was mediocre at best. I'm glad this was a novella rather than a full novel because it was seriously lacking.
Brandt's (Dez's cousin) POV was a huge let down. I liked him in Touch and Toxic — he was funny, somewhat mysterious and all around good guy but in this he was annoying, dull and judgmental. His powers were cool though — if he dies, he can jump into someone else's body… Not only that, he gets to keep the powers of the person he jumped into… Sadly, that was the best thing about him.
The plot was okay - Brandt had to infiltrate Denazen (the bad guys) so he could save his cousin. It was readable but it wasn't all that exciting, it wasn't fast paced and the action was mostly lame.
The romance was flat, Brandt was instantly taken with Devin (the love interest) for no real reason. I really didn't understand why Brandt and Devin liked each other so much — they spent most of the novella being horrible to each other.
Devin wasn't a particularly interesting or nice character… If she hadn't been a complete cow to another girl I would have been fine with her but because she was a female hating dick I found myself disliking her.
I liked that Brandt was all about helping Dez who was dying… But that did make the romance even more rubbish because Brandt only cared about his own problems, he didn't give a fuck about Devin, he treated her awfully - I don't know why Devin would want him after he lied to her and betrayed her.
All the new characters (bar the scientist guy) were flat and unlikeable.
The thing that I was most disappointed in was the 'slut-shaming' - I would have given this 3 stars if not for that. Both Brandt and Devin bitch and look down at another girl (Carina) because she was sexually active/confident. Neither of them think that their 'slut-shaming' is wrong… Brandt's thoughts and whole attitude in regard to Carina was disgusting — it was clear that he felt she was vile, dirty and unworthy. Naturally, Carina didn't wear a bra, she wore revealing clothes and was flirty… And of course, Devin was worthy because she wasn't interested in guys and she wore cute clothes with pictures of mice on them. Ugh.
Even though I was less than impressed with this, I'll be reading Tremble (the third book) because I'm still a fan of the series. Hopefully they won't be any more 'slut-shaming' in future books.

What I’ve always liked about this series is the writing. Jus knows how to make you laugh with her dialogue and she can create interesting characters that stand out above the others. I liked reading this novella, getting to know Brandt a little better, and seeing other Sixes. I’ll say this, it takes a minute to get into things and it was kind of slow for me during the first third of the book, but once Brandt gets adjusted to his new body and goes on his assignment, things really pick up, and then I just flew through the book. Jus’ writing is just as interesting and entertaining as ever and I ended up really enjoying this one.
Brandt is a pretty complex character. His ability to soul jump is cool, but also stressful, confusing, and dangerous. You get to see his mind as he uses his power, and learns to use the powers of those he soul jumps. Personally, I don’t know if I’d like to have this power. Sure, it’s cool that it’s not as easy to kill you, but then, as Brandt points out, you start to lose yourself and living the lives of others can be draining. My favorite scene with Brandt involves a closet, lets just leave it at that *giggles*.
I’d have to say my favorite character was Wentz. He was really the life of the story and I loved every scene he was in. He’s eccentric, good-natured, and just plain fun. He takes a liking to Brandt right away and even helps him in certain predicaments. Things get serious and dangerous pretty fast and Wentz is obviously a big part of it all.
Overall, it’s a good installment in the series and a way for readers to connect with another important, though lesser seen, character. Keep in mind that the only other character from the series you see is Ginger, so it kind of bummed me out that we didn’t get glimpses of Dez or Kale, but it’s understandable to the story line. Brandt is definitely a good guy who is doing all he can to help save Dez and other Sixes, so you can’t help but appreciate him, and what goes on in Faceless gives you more insight to what will be in Tremble, particularly regarding Domination. I hope he plays a bigger part in the Tremble and that everything that goes on in Faceless ties in nicely. I can’t wait to read Tremble! I need more Dez & Kale!

I adore Jus Accardo's work, so when I heard she was writing another novella in the Denazen series, I was super happy because I can't get enough of her work and although Faceless isn't a favourite, it's still a great addition to the series.
Faceless is Brandt's - Dez's cousin's novella and I've always been a fan of his, since the start of the series. He has a great relationship with Dez but of course, we all know what happens (if you've read the series) Dez struggles a lot of Brandt's departure, so I'm thrilled that Jus manages to bring him back and in such a exciting way too. His story gives us a lot of insight to what's really going on behind the scenes and of course, we get to meet so many more different characters.
What I enjoyed about Brandt so much was his sense of humour; “My name is Brandt Cross, and my life used to be seven kinds of f**ked up.... Now it's eight...”
“It was a shame I couldn't go public with my ability. Girls found immortality hot, right? Slap on a pair of fangs and add some glitter and I could probably hook up with my choice of rabid Twilight fangirls.”
He has so many laugh out loud moments but you can't help feeling sorry for him to. He's had to leave behind his family and my heart breaks for him. The romance in the story was a great addition too!
I bet you're wondering if Dez and Kale make an appearance? They do but not much, which was....disappointing but hey, we have all of Tremble to be with them. I can not wait! Roll on May 7th!

I really liked Brandt. Jumping into other people's bodies is hard work. He battles manfully against all his personalities' impulses and lack of self-control.
Deep breaths. Stronger. I was stronger than him.
The poor kid is so schizo. But I had to admire his resolve and his iron will to do what's right.
I really felt for him as he constantly has to remind himself who he is.
Towards the end it got pretty crazy hilarious as all his skills start getting muddled up.
All in all though, I loved that he found himself amidst all the layers of people he had stepped into. I think it takes some talent that with all the psychotic and intense things going on, the author really painted a beautiful picture of where Brandt's heart lies.

Brandt was someone I liked from the beginning so to be able to see him get his own story, I was so all over that! He may not be the same Brandt on the outside but he's just about the same Brandt on the inside, plus a few additions.
He's a six and his ability is pretty cool; when his 'host' body dies, his soul jumps in to the next body around. The catch? That body has to be a six. The bonus? Any body he takes over he also gets their ability. So you can see how valuable an ability like this could be for Denazen, right? Over time Brandt could be one of the most powerful sixes out there and that's just terrifying.

MY REVIEW
I received a free pdf copy of this novella from the lovely Anjana at Entangled in exchange for my honest review, and I managed to get it converted so I could read it on my kindle.
I like the cover, and I understand that the shading fits in with the nature of the book and the fact that Brandt is literally "in the shadows" but I am a little disappointed that the shading affects the title on the cover. I like the fonts used on the cover and with the exception of the title all are clear and very easily read. If I had anything negative to say I would say the word Ever After being in green does spoil the cover just a little for me. I presume the figures on the cover are Brandt and Devin in their roles of spies looking for the Dromere12 formula. I also have to add I love the addition of the byline, "My name is Brandt Cross and I died. . . . again" I love it! and part of it is something that is repeated by Brandt to himself during the novella. Would I pick it up from a book store shelf if it was on one, or choose to buy it for my kinde? Yes I would definitely want to learn more about the book after seeing the cover.
The blurb, describes the book well in a light and appealing way. Would it make me want to read the book? Of course it would plus this book is part of a fantastic series.
Now to the book, I loved that we were going to learn more about what had happened and what was happening with Brandt. I really liked Brandt as a character before reading this novella but I love him as a character now! His talent is quite a complicated one in that when he soul jumps, though he retains himself and his ways and mannerisms etc he also takes on the ways, mannerisms, and emotional baggage of the person he has jumped into.
So Brandt is trying to ind the formula for the cure that can help his cousin Dez who he loves more like a sister. All he is going through is made more bearable by the fact he might be able to help Dez. So Ginger has tasked him with getting close to a man, Dr Wentz, who may have the formula for part of what is needed to cure Dez and the other ill sixes. To get close to Dr Wentz he had to soul jump into Douglas Cain. So Brandt now has his own mind, Sheltie's mind and Cain's mind and abilities to learn to utilise and control. Will he get close enough to Dr Wentz to find what he needs. The group Cain belongs to also has other people trying to get the information in various ways. Brandt also has to deal with getting emotionally attached to another one of the undercover spies, a girl named Devin. Devin's six skill is hacking into computers with her mind.
Who will find the information and will it do any good? Will it be in time?
This is an dramatic action packed novella, it's difficult to say more without revealing more than I'd like so . . .my advice buy the novella! It's a must if you are reading the series, and if you aren't reading the series yet, start reading it!
So did I enjoy the novella? Yes, there's lots of action and drama in it too. There's the main plot and then all these sub plots coming off it which is brilliant. Would I recommend? I've been intrigued by Brandt since the Denazen series started. We've always gotten these short little glimpses of the protective older cousin, but not a lot of depth into his character. I was really excited to learn that Faceless was going to be from his POV.
Faceless begins with Brandt having just killed the body he has been wearing up to this point, Sheltie, in order to jump into Cain. Cain is a member of Zendean, an organization that Brandt need to get closer to and infiltrate to find the cure for Dez and the rest of the Supremacy kids. I love how determined Brandt is to do whatever it takes to save Dez. He really has so much loyalty for her and his family.
It was a lot of fun seeing Brandt from the beginning of a soul-jump. Going with him as he tried to get used to a new body - learn to control this new bodies impulses - and assimilate himself into the lifestyle and the people around him, make this a much different read.
Brandt has a really great strength of character. That strength is the #1 reason I like him as much as I do. One of my favorite parts of Faceless was that when something would happen with the body Brandt was in that was against his normal character he would say to himself, "My name is Brandt Cross and ..." a fact about himself. This helped to remind himself who he truly was and a lot of times these lines were just quippy or touching or funny.
I love that Brandt gets to have a love interest of his very own in Faceless. Even if she is someone who is working as his head-on competition and thinks that he is "Cain", and therefore everything she despises, I really liked them together. Their interactions were always hilarious, sometimes hot, and in the end - romantic.
Faceless is a great addition to the Denazen series. Although it only comes in as a longer novella, it packs the full potential of a full novel in it's few pages. I would love to see more stories from Brandt's, or even other Sixes, POV's. I can't wait to see where the Denazen series is going next, and if the last paragraph of the acknowledgements were any indication, it's going to be a crazy ride!

His new victim is a pretty shitty person; maybe not as shitty as his last body, Sheltie, who happened to be the person who murdered Brandt. Living in your murderers body doesn't sound like a lot of fun but I guess you could say he got his revenge. His new body is Douglass Cain or most commonly just known as Cain. He's your typical scumbag; massive attitude problems, no respect for women, drugs and alcohol are his friend & just overall pretty dirty. Not exactly a winning body, if you ask me but why he chose him was for his ability. Cain can convince people to do what he wants, which makes him more of a jerk.
Brandt is on an undercover mission to steal this product that believed to be half the cure for Dez and all the other Supremacy sixes out there who are risk of dying around the age of eighteen. The one thing he doesn't expect is to fall for a girl who is sent on the same mission and will do just about anything to make sure she wins.
For being a novella, it's action packed, tons of suspense, drama, backstabbing, violence and romance. What a fantastic combination, is it not? It's also refreshing for fans of this series to see everything from another characters point of view. Someone who we haven't seen much of since the beginning. If you haven't read this series, I don't recommend you start with this novella but if you have read the previous books, definitely check this out. It's going to be important and it's a fun read so why not?

Brandt was someone I liked from the beginning so to be able to see him get his own story, I was so all over that! He may not be the same Brandt on the outside but he's just about the same Brandt on the inside, plus a few additions.
He's a six and his ability is pretty cool; when his 'host' body dies, his soul jumps in to the next body around. The catch? That body has to be a six. The bonus? Any body he takes over he also gets their ability. So you can see how valuable an ability like this could be for Denazen, right? Over time Brandt could be one of the most powerful sixes out there and that's just terrifying.
His new victim is a pretty shitty person; maybe not as shitty as his last body, Sheltie, who happened to be the person who murdered Brandt. Living in your murderers body doesn't sound like a lot of fun but I guess you could say he got his revenge. His new body is Douglass Cain or most commonly just known as Cain. He's your typical scumbag; massive attitude problems, no respect for women, drugs and alcohol are his friend & just overall pretty dirty. Not exactly a winning body, if you ask me but why he chose him was for his ability. Cain can convince people to do what he wants, which makes him more of a jerk.
Brandt is on an undercover mission to steal this product that believed to be half the cure for Dez and all the other Supremacy sixes out there who are risk of dying around the age of eighteen. The one thing he doesn't expect is to fall for a girl who is sent on the same mission and will do just about anything to make sure she wins.
For being a novella, it's action packed, tons of suspense, drama, backstabbing, violence and romance. What a fantastic combination, is it not? It's also refreshing for fans of this series to see everything from another characters point of view. Someone who we haven't seen much of since the beginning. If you haven't read this series, I don't recommend you start with this novella but if you have read the previous books, definitely check this out. It's going to be important and it's a fun read so why not?

Faceless is Brandt Cross, Dez's cousin's story. Brandt is a "Six." He is also a "soul jumper." What that means is that when he dies, he jumps into the soul of the Six that is closest to him at the time of his death. Not only does he take over their body, he also inherits whatever ability that Six has. After his cousin Dez becomes deathly ill, Brandt goes in undercover to try to find a cure for Dez and other Six's in the same predicament. His assignment ends up involving quite a bit more than he anticipated, so needles to say, things get dangerous and complicated, especially when a certain girl enters the picture.
I found Faceless to be a great installment in the Denazen series. Being a novella, it doesn't take very long to read. There was quite a bit of action from beginning to end, as there is in all the books in the series. I really like Brandt's character. He has a great sense of humor, and he is an all-around great guy. I loved his inner rants and the pep talks that he gives to himself. The love interest in this book is Devin, another Six, who forms a bond with Brandt....the only problem is that Brandt is living in Cain's body, which is definitely a little more than a "bump in the road." Of course there is plenty of action, danger, and intrigue in the story. Overall, Faceless is an enjoyable novella, and I really liked getting to know Brandt better. I am also really looking forward to reading Tremble, the next book in the series

I’m new to this series, and just jumping into the most current book. It sort of feels like Heroes meets X-men, but with a more dangerous edge. It took me a minute to get certain terminology down, but once I got ahold of that I was in for the ride, excited about the premise. There were a lot of alliterated names and companies that made it a bit difficult for more to differentiate for me at times. However, the variance of characters and the exciting action filled plot line more than made up for that.
The story starts out with Brandt Cross, who happens to be a soul jumper. He’s just jumped into the body of Doglass Cain and he wants to bring Denazen down. His original body was murdered, and he can never go home again. His only future is to hop from body to body, never quite himself. I felt an enormous amount of sympathy for this character, imagining how alone he must feel at times. However, on the plus side, he is able to retain the abilities of the sixers (people with these special abilities) he jumps into. That is a major bonus, and it gives him the ability to do things like enter others’ dreams, and even control them.
So who do you trust when everyone has a secret? Well, he starts with Devin, who quickly turns into his love interest. In fact, at one point Brandt describes a kiss with Devin as “rockets to Heaven”. I just loved that. And Devin is this very cool girl who is also doing bad things for what she deems a good purpose, much like Brandt.
I found the story to be fast pace and well written. I was eagerly turning pages to find out what would happen next. The cast of characters were colorful and varied, each one lending a certain aspect to the story while bringing in their own set of secrets and agendas. If you are into YA UF, I think you would really like this story. I think it would be easier to have read the series from the beginning, but by going through reviews on the other books and such, I felt I was able to catch up enough to keep up with what was going on with Brandt.

Ok, let me start with the fact that Jus writes the MOST AWESOME GUYS EVER. I think I find a new love in each book hehe
Faceless is the story of Brandt, Dez’s cousin for all of you who read the Denazen Series. And as you can gather from the blurb above, he’s not the luckiest guy. I mean he died twice already! Granted soul-jumping is better than being dead-dead... but is also very confusing for the jumper...
Brandt is sent looking for Wentz and to try to get the cure before Denazen does, and his job isn’t exactly easy with so many people behind the same thing.
I’m really happy with his story. Wentz adds a lot of fun moments to it and Devin is a great character. Brandt life is complicated, he misses his home and wants to help in any way he can. I loved being inside his head and reading what was happening to him.
By now, I expect action, love, LOL-moments and all around awesomeness from Jus, and I can assure you this is exactly what you get.
Also, this isn’t just a little something in the middle of the story, it really adds to the whole plot in the series, giving us some pretty WOW new info. And we even get to see our fav bad guy.
I love the little sentences around the book,they give you an unique insight into Brandt

Faceless review on K-Books
There are no words to explain just how excited I was for Faceless. I have long been a massive fan of the wonderful Jus Accardo. Ever since reading Touch I was obsessed with the Denezen series. It's is fast-paced and addictive and this novella was no different. I was completely hooked by Jus' phenomenal writing style and couldn't stop reading until I was done. This is another fantastic installment to the Denezen series.
Dez' cousin Brandt was one of my favourite characters in the first book and I was so sad when he dies so I was very happy to be reading his story. I love his Six power and he is just such a pretty awesome tough guy who will do absolutey anything for his family.
I was a little sad at first that this wasn't about Dez and Kale because let's face it I absolutely adore them... I was also sad that it wasn't the story of how someone killed Jade... DARN! I really missed reading about Dez and Kale and that for me made me not really enjoy Faceless as much as the other books and novella in the series but once I got over that I really enjoyed it. This review is going to be pretty short compared to my others as I really do not know how to talk about this novella without giving something away and everyone knows how much I hate spoilers.
If you are a fan of Jus and the incredible Denezen series then this one is not to be missed. It will take over your life until you have finished and will leave you reeling wishing that you had Tremble in your hands like... right now! I bow down to Jus because she is seriously just one of the best authors I have ever had the privaledge of reading. I adore her and I really liked Faceless, unfortunately just not as much as the others... I blame the lack of Kale.

In this installment of the Denazen series, we get to learn about a character who has intrigued me from the first page he was introduced in TOUCH. Brandt Cross, the tough, snarky skateboarder with a sensitive side. I've never forgotten his loyalty to Dez and I was so very happy to see just what the heck he's been doing. Which makes way for an important point to be made.
FACELESS is a must read for fans of the Denazen series. This novella is not a "fluff" story. It moves the story line of TOUCH forward (*whimpers*) and will make you long for TREMBLE coming out in May.
I was anxious to see how Jus's writing would translate from Dez's POV to Brandt's. (If you've seen my review for TOUCH and TOXIC, you'll know I'm a HUGE fan of Dez.) Being in Dez's head is as exciting as it is to see the Nut Roll vendor at the State Fair. It's something I look forward to every year and devour quickly when I get my hands on it. Excepting for a few pieces of dialogue that felt less genuine than I prefer, Jus nailed it. Which is not surprising. Jus "gets" the inner workings of a teen. You'd almost think she was one once. ;)
RANDOMNESS: There is a scene in FACELESS that had me barking with laughter and still makes me smile when remembering it. There is a boy, a girl, a closet and some accidental touching involved. You'll laugh. Out loud.
Go read this book now so that you can see just what that pesky Marshal is up to now. (HINT: It's no good.)

My name is Brandt Cross, and my life used to be seven kinds of fucked up.... Now it's eight...
2.5 Stars. I didn't actually realise that this novella had come out until I received the email from Entangled Publishing. I then rushed to Amazon to buy it knowing that I had to have it at once. I fell in love with the Denazen series at the beginning of last year and since then none of the books have disappointed. I will admit at first I was a little confused but I think that was because it has been a long time since Toxic. This book was good but was nowhere near as good as the other novella and the other books. Although it was nice to learn more about Brandt I think this novella needed at least an appearance or two from Dez and Kale.
Brandt is a six, a person with an anomaly in his sixth chromosome. It is this anomaly that makes him a soul jumper. Being a soul jumper means that when he dies his soul jumps to the nearest person. The first time he used his ability he was digging into Denazen trying to find out some information for his cousin and best friend Dez who is also a six. Denazen has been hunting down all of the sixes which has caused many of them to go underground. Ginger the leader of the sixes who have gone underground need's Brandt's help. Denazen started a supremacy project and injected some of the sixes when they were born and because of this a lot of the sixes are going insane and then dropping dead. Dez is one of those sixes that were part of the supremacy project and she is in danger of becoming insane and eventually dying. Brandt hates using his ability but he will do absolutely anything and everything to save Dez.

I really enjoy the crap out of the Denazen series, so I was excited to read this novella as I waited for Tremble to be released. It's told from Brandt's POV, which is a unique POV to say the least. He's a soul jumper, and is trying to retain his original identity somewhere inside of himself even as he takes over the bodies (and memories) of other people. In this story, he's trying to keep a possible Supremacy cure out of the hands of Denazen by going undercover at a corporation where a genius named Wentz has possibly created a formula that could change the lives of Sixes-- if the Underground gets it first, Sixes like Dez can be hopefully be 'cured' of the terrible side effects of Supremacy. But if Denazen gets it-- yeah. No good can come of that.
I won't spoil anything here, but I can say that it's a nice continuation in the Denazen universe and Jus Accardo does a masterful job of, yet again, creating a personalized and unique narrative that sucks the reader in and forces you to care about these characters. Brandt, Dez, Kale-- they all seem like they're real people thanks to the details Accardo includes (I really like Brandt's self-grounding skateboard wheel, for example).
My only caveat is it took me a few chapters to really get into the story. Certain things confused me, but that's only because of the nature of Brandt's situation. I liked the slow build of the romance and the friendship between Brandt and Wentz. In fact, I would have liked the book more if it had been a full novel! But that's just me. I love being in the Denazen storyverse and didn't want to leave so soon.

I found this a nice addition to the series. Whilst it didn't blow me away like the first two books, I have to say nevertheless I found it a good read. The reason for this simply is that I just love the two character Dez and Kale and without them featuring in this story, well it was like having a cup of tea without a biscuit, refreshing but not totally satisfying.
I did like finding out more about Brandt, we really got to know him a little bit better in this story. I'm not going to give too much of the story away as this is part of a series and I just don't do the whole spoiler thing. Let's just say that if you have read the first two books in the series, read this one as it does give something extra, an extra spin on things.
I have to say it is a rare thing when you click with an author, when you just love the flow and style of their writing, and I have to say that Jus Accardo has the thumbs up for me. I always look forward to her books and I am pleased that this series is looking at being a five book series, with I hope, the added extra of novellas (pretty please!!).
I will say if you haven't read any of the Denazen series, you are seriously missing something good. I don't normally totally rave over book series. But this series does get a high recommendation from me.

I received this book from Anjana for a honest review. I wanted to be a part of this blog tour because I heard so many good things about this series and I will read it very soon.
Even I hadn't read any book from this series, I liked so much "Faceless" <3 This book is about Brandt Cross, Dez's cousin who is a Six and he can jump when his body dies in other bodies. He must be undercover in Zendean and he must find a cure for Dez. She is dying and he must take this cure from Wentz who is a genius.
The thing is, Devin wants the cure too because Aderson promised her that if she will find the cure, he heals her father. Brandt is in Cain's body for this mission and Cain was an asshole. Devin hates him, but Brandt starts to have feelings for her. They must compete, but between them is something and the things become more complicated.
It's so hard for Brandt to hide his true identity to Devin and even they had the dreams, it's not the same. Brandt is faceless, he didn't have his own personality until he met Devin. She can see that sparkle in his eyes and then he is no more faceless, he belongs somewhere and he is someone.
The enemy is the most unexpected and the things had become so, so interesting in the end! I love this book and I bet I will love this series too! Thanks so much for the grat opportunity! This book receives from me 4/5 stars!

Ok this novella was a cute addition to this series and one that I enjoyed reading. I loved that we got more back story on Brandt as he really is an important character to this series and we didn't really know much about him. I have to say I think I am in love with his Six ability. I don't know that I would like the dying part but it sounds really cool and is so different from most of the abilities out there.Brandt was a really cool character though and one that is starting to grow on me.
This book continues on with the series and I think should be read after you have read the last one in this series and not out of order because there are parts that are kinda spoilery and you may be a little confused. The action was amped up in this one we got to learn more about the Supermacy kids and what Zendean is really up to. I loved that we got to met Wentz also because he was a really cool but weird character but at least one of the good guys. This book was full of a few revelations and there are a few things that happen along the way that I didn't see coming but overall it was a good addition to the sequel. Overall I loved this book and it was one that you definitely need to read to get more on these awesome characters.
This book continues on with the series and I think should be read after you have read the last one in this series and not out of order because there are parts that are kinda spoilery and you may be a little confused. At first I was really annoyed to be reading from Brandt's POV, but He really grew on me. I actually hope there will be way more of Brandt in the future. This novella flowed seamlessly with the rat of the series and is integral in understanding the dichotomy of the employees of Denazen. Te insight this novella brings gives more meaning to the events in book 3.

It had occurred to me today, that Brandt's ability was so familiar to me...and yet I couldn't place what character I read, who had it. Finally, today I realized that much of the inspiration for many of Ms. Accardo's characters might have been sparked from the Patternist Series by Octavia Butler ....Now i am re-reading it!!

I love the Denzazen books, and decide to read Faceless (#2.5) before reading the final book! I've always enjoyed Brandt's character and the soul jumping aspect is cool. I was pretty bored by the book up until about 15-20% on my kindle. I almost quit reading it but it got much better when introduced to a new character named Wentz. He stole the story for me!
Brandt is a really nice guy with a ton of emotional baggage. His love interest Devin was also just a nice girl. Their characters didn't really stand out which is why I'm sure Dez & Kale are the characters behind the real story and these are the extras. I enjoyed reading about them but am happier to be reading the final book in the series as I've missed the stand out characters!
If you are a fan of the series, check it out, it's fun reading about different sixes and their abilities. The book wasn't my favorite but it will keep you interested.

I'd been waiting for this since I read Toxic. I'd been through so many stage waiting and guessing when will the release date and finally the wait is over and it was freaking worth it!
Brandt Cross is so dreamy... ( Don't be jealous, Kale. You're still my number one)
Almost all the people in this book are complete douchebags except Brandt, Devin and Wenzt, orz.
Wenzt is so adorable and the key for my Kale and Dez's happily ever after (I hope!).
I am a big fan of Denazen series and I think I feel in love with Brandt Cross reading Faceless. I can't wait for Temble to come out in May!

A nice read. I was a bit frustrated with how Brandt handled his mission though. As much of a romantic as I am, I can be a picky realist from time to time so it kinda annoyed me a bit when he got caught up with Devin instead of putting everything into getting the cure. I do love stories that focus on romance and understand that stories don't always have to reflect real life, but I would've liked the focus of the story to be a tiny bit less on Brandt's relationship with Devin and more on getting the cure. AGAIN, not that I'm against Brandt and Devin, I totally ship it, but I'd like a balance between action and romance.
Other than that, I truly did like the book. It has the same amount of humor and romance that you find in the other books in the series. I recommend it for anyone who is interested in reading Brandt's POV and curious about what happened between book 2 and 3 of the series.

So here's the deal with this one... I absolutely adored Untouched. The added summer events with Kale and Dez really added to the story. I want as much of Dez and Kale's story as possible. Now, while Faceless was important and really added to the story, I wasn't as attached to Brandt. Don't get me wrong Brandt is adorable and I love that he would do anything for his family, but I guess I was hoping for more Dez and Kale. I suppose I will have to wait for Tremble!!! Faceless only added to the suspense of waiting for the release!!!

This novella was so good that at moments it literally left me speechless. I absoloutely loved it. Spending time with Brandt, Devin and Wentz was so much fun. I can't believe I'm going to say this but I found myself so thoroughly enjoying this novella that I didn't even miss Kale and Dez. This story was interwoven with theirs just enough they were on the periphery while I read but I was so consumed with Brandt's story I wasn't longing for them to make an appearance. Seriously this novella is golden and definitely a favorite of mine!!!

Jus Accardo is one of my favorite YA authors, so I was really excited to finally have the pieces I needed to figure out Brandt part in this bizarre but entertaining story.
Brandt has a really bizarre talent, he can't be killed , his soul can jump into the closet available body to him. He found this out when he was murdered by a Denizan flukey.

It took me long enough to read this!
Well... I just feel in love with Dez's cousin!
He's so sweet and nice and fun..

I didn't expect to like him that much..
One thing I like about Brandt and Dez relationship is that I love that they are cousins! I read a lot about close friends or close brothers... I think this is the first time I read about such close cousins... It's a simple detail, really.. Not very relevant to the story itself... But one that called my attention anyway..

Perhaps a little longer than it needed to be, as the bulk of it felt like filler consisting of high-school-type friction between generic asshole side characters.
Otherwise provided backstory on how Brandt 'became' Cain (and now Harley), as well as introducing Wentz & his special formula that has become part of the newest 'cure' for the Sixes (including the Supremacy test subjects).

FACELESS is good addition to the Denazen series. I did like being able to find out what Brandt had been up to as he was so vague when speaking to Dez, also I now fully understand his ability as a Six and its pretty cool. I didn't like the story as much as I hoped but it is worth reading. Wentz made the story for me, I love his character! Can't wait to meet him again in TREMBLE.

This book was really cool - not 'awesome' but just really fricking cool.
I like how we got to hear more of Brandt's story, AND add to the overall series, AND have a little breather from Dez and Kale. I mean I read the next book, and without reading this one, I would be pretty lost. Note to self, always read the .5s ...
