Dominion Trust #3

Expecting Surrender

Rate this book
They’d called it The Game.

An intriguing truth or dare, a little spice to an already hot sexual chemistry between two married professionals. But what started as a mere game evolved into something so much more, a dark, exciting adventure into serious power exchange. It soon became the center of their lives, the beating, lust-fueled heart of their relationship.

It was an exploration of pleasure, of pain, of elemental desire. A married couple diving deep into the waters of possession and surrender. Like forbidden fruit, The Game had opened their eyes to the primal drives, the animal lusts lurking within each of them — and they knew they’d never be the same again.

Then came the day she’d received the surprise news… in the form of a positive pregnancy test.

Now Keihl and Kirsten, deeply in love, facing a profound, joyful change in their lives, must contemplate the prospect of putting aside The Game, just when things are really heating up. After all, pregnancy and kink are utterly incompatible. Right?

Or was there a way to have both? Perhaps Kirsten’s pregnancy might open up an entirely new world to them within the alluring, lust-drenched context of a loving, yet strict, male-led marriage dynamic? Perhaps the pregnancy might change them both in ways neither of them yet understand?

Two lovers will discover if possession and surrender, if pain and pleasure — and finding the real people they are inside — is indeed still possible, now that a baby is on the way…

This is the first time that I've read an erotic romance involving a pregnant heroine and I loved it. The book starts with this married couple exploring their way into kink. As she gets pregnant, the changes in her body are intermixed with changes in their relationship that take them deeper into a D/s dynamic while they're testing their limits and needs.

I loved Keihl's ott obsession with Kirsten's pregnant body, in such a complex moment in a woman's life (the insecurities it may cause) his worship of her was utterly sexy and at the same time tender. Pregnancy is the symbol of motherhood and not an usual image of sex, but quite the opposite (it's like an untouched figure of worship, aloof, ideal). Ironically, hormones make pregnant women go wonkers with horniness, but that's not a topic usually discussed publicly. Mr. Evans did a wonderful job writing such a sensuous story.

The Dominio Trust thread created conflicted feelings in me. A society involved in slavery (consensuous slaves) where their member share their females partners...I feared where this was going and I didn't like it as much as I liked the MCs' relationship and its evolution. The final scene it killed me...But since I think I understand where the author was going with this, my rating deserved 5 stars for the depth of emotions in the story and how scorchingly erotic this read was.

Highly recommended for D/s and DD lovers.

Beautiful Story!

I am always impressed with a Trent Evans book. This one was no exception. Keihl and Kirsten seemed so real. They could have been the couple next door. I was really able to connect with the characters and go on the journey with this couple through the entire pregnancy. One of the few books that with pregnancy from the beginning. I have to say, the author did an amazing job on his research. Mr. Evans has a way of weaving a detailed, complex story that completely engulfs you and it is steamy-hot! I love the Dominion Trust and can’t wait to learn more about it.

Keihl and Kirsten could have been any other couple next door. I enjoyed Mr. Evans brought the reader in to their every day life, from Kirsten's internal conflicts, to Keihl finding his way in to being a Dominate. I loved Sharon, the friend and slave to Tom who I did not care, for, that only made the story all the more everyday-like. We all run in to people we don't like, for myself, it was Tom. He was very important in the book.

Mr. Evans had a way of showing, although a submissive isn't always sure, she puts all her trust in to her Dom to lead the way, yet protecting her as well.

I do hope to see more of their journey, will Kirsten act on her other attractions, or was it just those hormones? Will Keihil continue to take them further? What will Kirsten do when she is whisked away by those other men?

I very much enjoyed reading this story. Keihl and Kirsten have developed The Game. Kirsten enjoys giving up her power and submitting to Keihl and Keihl very much enjoys her submission. As they progress further and further into The Game, they find out that their best friends are in a similar lifestyle only at a much deeper level. Then they find out they are pregnant. They have to work though their feelings and whether The Game (BDSM) is safe during the pregnancy. Luckily, one of the best friends is an OB/Gyn and he gives them the advice they need. Trent Evans wrote a wonderful addition to the Dominion Trust series. I think that this is the best of them all I really felt the love between Kirsten and Keihl. I give this 5 stars!

Fantastic, compelling, couldn't put it down. Hot sex and lots of it. Sensual, caring couple learning their way into BDSM. Pregnancy portrayed is ideal. Everything we all wish had happened with our own. Could have done without the sharing, but that's just me. Very well written. Very descriptive. I felt I was there in the room with them. Kudos Trent Evans.
Evans book is right up there with my other favorites, Cherise Sinclair, Sierra Cartwright, Tara Sue Me,Tymber Dalton.
