I am one of the featured authors in this anthology, so this review is about the other stories and poems in the collection.
I thoroughly enjoyed all the stories and poems in this book. I expected that I would because I have read and enjoyed other work by these writers. For this series of books each author is given a photo at random and asked to write a story/poem inspired by the photo. In this book there are 3 stories and/or poems for each photo. It's interesting to see how each author interpreted the photo differently and created something unique. There are stories in many genres including fantasy, dark fiction, and literary fiction.
It's impossible for me to pick favourite stories or poems as I found something great in each of them. What I will say is that there is a wealth of talent in these pages, and stories with much depth and wisdom. This is a quality collection for lovers of short fiction and poetry. The photographs are an extra treat and make this book, and this series, extra special.

Yes, two of my stories are part of this collection (#666 and Beyond The Eyes) and though I always recommend my work to others, this time I am reviewing the rest of the collection.
First thing - what amazing talent!
Each author was given a photograph (three per photo) so that three stories were told from the inspiration of said photograph (from Martin David Porter and Helle Gade), in themselves works of art.
I was amazed and astonished at the variance - just how different we all see things.
Themes such as murder, loss, love, hope, revenge and change for example...the list is vast...culminate into a wonderful, expertly written collection of fantastic stories and poems.
I have my favourites but I'm not telling, you must read the stories and poems for yourself to decide. I am familiar with some of the authors' work, but some were new to me - all though are fabulous pieces of work.
If any of you are wondering about new authors, this set is ideal for it gives a snapshot of superb talent and, hopefully, will compel you to search for more.

Triptychs, a set of three associated artistic, literary, or musical works intended to be appreciated together. That is the premise of this wonderful collection of stories/poems. Each Author was shown a photo and were asked to write a story/poem about what they felt while looking at that picture.
Each story and poem is unique, original and written from the Authors perspective. Many different genres are on the pages, and wonderful photos by two gifted photographers as well.
I would love to write a review on each story, but this review would never end. I will say some of the Authors are favorites of mine, while others I just discovered. They are all very talented, gifted and it shows in each story and poem. I truly enjoyed each and every one!
Overall this is a fantastic collection of short stories and poetry, I strongly recommend Triptychs to readers of all genres. You won't be disappointed. (I also love the cover-art.)

'Triptychs' is based around the interesting premise of having a variety of authors put together short pieces based on whatever certain images bring to mind.
Although I am not a great reader of short fictional pieces, I was drawn to the collection initially because I am familiar with the writers Eden Baylee and Maria Savva who contributed to the project. Like many of these multi-author collections, the contents were something of a curate's egg. Not all of the pieces were of the same writing quality, and in my opinion the inclusion of short poems was something that detracted from the reading experience. I did, however, discover at least one writer (Jay Finn) whose works I will explore further.
Overall, I am inclined to give 'Triptychs' a brave four stars for experimentation.

In this, the third book in the Mind’s Eye series, we see a slight change of format. This time, instead of two writers responding to a previously unseen photograph, three authors are involved each time. This makes Triptychs an ideal opportunity to become familiar with the work of different, but equally talented authors.
As before, the photographs were provided by Martin David Porter and Helle Gade. The latter and Ben Ditmars contributed poetry, while short stories were written byDarcia Helle, Jason McIntyre J. Michael Radcliffe, Jay Finn, Eden Baylee, Marc Nash, Geoffrey David West, Julie Elizabeth Powell, Maria Savva and Lisette Brodey.
A variety of genres are represented in this excellent book. There is fantasy, horror, contemporary fiction, as well as poetry.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this wonderful variety of short works and it has certainly whetted my appetite to read more by these writers. I’m looking forward to buying a paperback copy, as the full beauty of the photographs can then be appreciated.
An excellent book, which I recommend to lovers of short stories, poetry and photography!

TRIPTYCHS ( minds eyes series book three)
I love this series! Every time I open a new book from this series I'm thrilled because I know I'm about to read from new authors and ones I already love. I see some beautiful photography and read meaningful poetry. The stories are different from one another, different styles, dark, romance, mystical and the poems are mind blowing. There are 13 authors, photographers in this book, each story meticulously written for your reading pleasure, "pleasure "you will get from this book. There are short stories, some longer ones, I loved each one, I loved everything about this book. It's hard to have a favorite when there's such great authors, you'll have to read it to see what I mean. I know I found new authors in this series, you will to. Whoever came up with this concept is genius! So much talent in this series. They keep it fresh by adding new authors to every book.

"Triptychs (Mind's Eye Series Book 3)" is a wonderful and fascinating anthology. This one is based on a series of photographs that were randomly given to the authors as inspiration for their stories. One of the most rewarding parts of this experiment is for the reader to view the picture and have their own ideas what the stories might be, only to see how different we all view the world.
The stories range wide in scope and show great talent. Some of the authors I knew and appreciated already from their individual work, such as Eden Baylee and Maria Savva, while others look likely to become new favourites, such as Jason McIntyre and J Michael Radcliff.
I enjoyed all of the stories and will keep an eye out for the rest of the series. High quality reading.

I enjoyed this unique collection of short stories, poetry, photos and talent. Each author had something different to offer and revved my imagination. I had my favorites but I truly liked the assortment of creativity.

Short story anthologies are a wonderful way to sample the work of different authors, and find new favourite writers in the process. Triptychs is a great example of this. This anthology contains 20 short stories, 4 poems, and 8 original photographs, and the idea behind the anthology is just a bit different than your usual short story collection. Each photo in the book was given to three different writers. Each writer then wrote a short story or poem inspired by that photo, meaning that the reader gets to see how one image can spark three very different stories. It’s a fascinating way to fire up the imagination of the writers, and the results are both interesting and entertaining.
The short stories cover a range of genres: there are tales of horror and crime and vampires, as well as romance and fantasy. All the stories and poems are well-written, and each one has something special to grab your interest and capture your imagination. I found it very hard to put down this book once I started reading: I kept wanting to know what kind of story would be next.

Triptychs is a wonderful collection of stories/poems of three associated artistic, literary and musical works intended to be appreciated together.
Each story and poem is unique and original many different genres are represented in this book along with some beautiful photos by two gifted photographers.
If you enjoy poetry and stories accompanied by beautiful photos i highly recommend you read Triptychs.
