I have been mares for five years, I took a semester full of gender communication, interpersonal communication, relationship development, and family communication, I love books like this. But I feel that I didn't get to benefit from some of the advice given as I had already learned it "the hard way"

But this might just be a great wedding present. I'd have to read it closer and with a different mindset before I said it was the perfect wedding gift...

Lots of sound truths grounded on good doctrine in this book. It pretty much covers the basics on nurturing and growing your marriage. Any age couple can read it and glean something from it. Keep an open mind and don't come at it with an "I already know all this" attitude. You can still learn something.

Nothing hugely groundbreaking for me...but that's because I've been married for nearly 10 years, so we'd figured out most of this on our own. However, if we'd read this book in the first few years, it would have saved us a lot of "learning it the hard way". Recommended to all Christian couples.
