Is there a more brilliantly poetic story than our Maker speaking the world itself into existence? This short book of poetic musings helps capture the beauty of that first week. Soli Deo Gloria

Poetic food for the soul!

What a beautiful poem about the first week! I'll be reading this with my children again and again as they get older.

A poem about God creating the world, can be read in about a half hour. Baptizes the imagination. Really enjoy Joe Carlson’s work, which I found after reading his translation of Dante.

This is a fun book to read aloud for your family. My girls are 4 years old, and we often read them Narnia or The Kingdom Trilogy, but this was an enjoyable detour.

It is poetic retelling of the 6 days of creation.

superb!

Delightful verse. Beautiful language, meaty theology; a brilliant word-tapestry. Carlson is sound and very clever. I hope he has more coming out.

wonderful poetry

This is a great poem, or series of poems really, that go through the first week of creation. I loved it.
