Aidan Hunter’s heart has been broken twice. The first time was his mistake; Tori belonged to his brother. The second time, an entirely different kind of void remained. After months of trying to understand how Maria perpetrated such heartless betrayal, the only thing Aidan has left is the desire to seek revenge. With everything in place to work the hustle of a lifetime, Aidan learns the truth and he’ll stop at nothing to get Maria back. Only in an unexpected twist, Peyton Miles, a woman completely opposite of Maria, begins to worm her way into Aidan’s heart. She’s mature, sexy and confident, and she doesn’t need to be saved. When an irreversible mistake is made, Aidan loses both women. Fate has other plans and a second chance emerges. Can Aidan let go of the guilt he carries and allow himself happiness? This book was definitely not for me! I didn't believe for one second Tug loved anyone other than Tori. I believe Tori was quite happy with that because it meant she got the best of both worlds. He used Maria. He used Peyton. I didn't like how Tori's actions in Tug's first book were excused away because of her "illness", then hated how Tug got everything he wanted even though he was one of the most selfish so-called heroes I have ever read!
I actually regret reading this book and should've just read the first one and been done with it. Maria deserved so much better than she got and I ended up hating Tug. I know I am definitely in the minority because I thought Tug was the one who was in the wrong and should've been begging Maria to forgive him. (Maria didn't break his heart because it has always been with Tori )But nope. He reverts to his usual ways and by then I was skimming til the end.
I'm so goddamn angry at myself for reading this book.
I changed my rating from 1 to 2 stars because the author obviously did something right by making me feel so passionately about this book even though I hated it!

⭐️⭐️Do not read The Hustle if you have not read Tug⭐️⭐️

HOT DAMN!!!!! K. J. Bell blew my mind with The Hustle. For those of you who have been waiting for the continuation of Tug's story I PROMISE, you will not be disappointed! This books was incredible!

K. J. Bell's writing never ceases to amaze me — she's always switching it up! I knew The Hustle was going to be fabulous but the storyline was so much more than I anticipated. Our loveable Tug is still trying to navigate through life after Maria. Enter Peyton... She seems to be the perfect distraction, but is she? Will Tug ever recover after being burned, will he ever be able to let go of Maria and get on with his life?

The Hustle was one of those, "What the hell did I jut read" books. I was on the edge of my seat wondering where the story would go. I couldn't put it down! I felt empathy for the characters and each of their journeys, as we all make sacrifices for those we love. So many emotions were invoked reading this story. O. M. G. I am still trying to process one storyline! Ms. Bell knows she blew my mind as I did not see the story turning in this direction!

I'm a little sad to see Tug's story come to an end but it has been a fabulous ride watching him grow from a goody kids into a strong, sexy man. The Hustle was the perfect end to this loveable character's story, even if I am still mad at K. J. Bell ;-) Definitely angsty and sexy The Hustle should be your next read! Don't miss out on this one!

This book was ok, I did not feel the love between the Hero and the heroine. Really hard develop those feelings, even when reading about it, when the H goes on and on and on about how he loves another woman. But to have us readers believe on the last few pages he loves the heroine.... well to me it is just not plausible. I do believe that he was in lust with the heroine but then again I think any woman would have done for his needs. I get that the heroine was a nice girl but come on... even after a while she got a little over the top for me. I mean you spill your heart out to the guy and tell him you love him and he tells you "I can not do this" and "I am not ready" well pull up your big girl knickers and move on. Nope, door mat, waits for him to change his mind, 3 weeks she waits.. Even in the book you see her counting down the last 5 minutes. All this showed me was heroine had not pride. Tug was suppose to come across as this bad A$$ scary dude. He fought with the cartels, he was a billionaire, he was handsome and yada yada, yada! To me he came across as whiny and selfish. NO I honest do not think he loved the heroine at all. It was what she could do for him at the moment.

I can't believe that everything Maria went through that was her fate!! She deserved better for her life even if Tug did choose Peyton in the end. I can't believe all the characters got what they wanted even though they were so selfish and the most selfless person in the book is the one that died. Unbelievable!

Not good things to say. Halfway through I had to stop because it doesn't make any sense as a sequel. The storyline that supposedly continues after Tug is nonexistent. The characters act differently and all of them seem like new ones. Hate is a really strong feeling and I don't want to use it but it sure was a big disappointment.

My 5 star review for The Hustle by KJ Bell
My Summary:
There’s a monster living inside me, an endless voice with devious intentions. The conqueror of women, seeking vengeance for all that I’ve lost….
Aidan Hunter is back with a vengeance. After losing Maria and Javier, he is convinced he was hustled. All he can see is revenge. He refuses to allow another woman to break his heart. There he has become a shell of the man he once was. Using woman for the sole purpose of his pleasure to alleviate the pain he feels in his heart.
Trying to erase their memory, he hires a company to redecorate his place, the last thing he expected was Peyton Miles. A woman who is beautiful, smart and confident and doesn’t stand for his crap. She is completely opposite of the women in his past and he finds himself being happy once again. He is surprised at how quickly she was able to get into his heart, the one he thought he lost. She somehow managed to open his eyes to the possibility of living life and being happy.
“I can’t live life focusing on the ‘what if’s’ and neither should you. Life is meant to be lived in the right now’s. And right now.. I want to spend whatever time I can with you while I have you.”
As he plans his own hustle, he learns to truth about Maria and he will do everything he can to get her and Javier back. Knowing he is going to crush Peyton, a woman he has grown to care for and has a hard time seeing a future without.
“What the fuck do you want me to say, Peyton? I told you I’d hurt you. I’m a bad guy with a broken heart that doesn’t know who he is.”
“No, you’re a good guy with a huge heart that’s been through some bad times. Knowing the difference comes from how much control you give your past.”

While planning to get back Maria. Aidan makes a mistake that ends up costing him both women.

“I actually thought you were capable of loving me. But you can’t, and it isn’t because of Maria or Javier. You can’t because you’re too preoccupied feeling sorry for yourself.”

Fate has other plans for Aidan. He is given a rare second chance for getting his HEA, the thing is how can you move forward when you are always dwelling in the past and swimming in guilt for an incident that way beyond control? With a little help from those who love him, he slowly finds his way back to his soul mate and in great Aidan fashion, nothing he does is without angst and some self-sabotage. The thing is, he may be too little too late.

“I love that you always believe in me.” “I always will.” I pull on his neck and lift my head to kiss him again.

My Thoughts:
How can you help someone who can’t let go of the guilt and heartache? Someone who self-sabotages everything good in his life? You can’t, you can only give them your love and support and accept them and all their faults.

I fell in LOVE with Aidan (Tug) in the Irreparable Series, seriously, who didn’t. He was such a fun, sexy, smart and oh so loveable character. He was that underdog that you so desperately wanted for him to find his happily ever after. Life was so cruel to him. I can’t blame him for becoming so selfish and jaded. He was screwed over by two women he gave his all to. I was a little nervous of the direction that this book started to take but then I was like OMG! I get it and I LOVE IT!

Remember this name…Peyton Miles. I don’t think I have loved a female character as much as I love her. Not once did she get on my nerve. She for me was the perfect female character. She is beautiful, confident, smart and independent. She isn’t needy, whiny, clingy or annoying. She has wisdom beyond anyone her age. She lives for the moment and doesn’t let the past define her. The thing I loved most about her is that she saw the truth in Aidan, she accepted him for him and did nothing to try to change him. Peyton is the difference between needing and wanting.

Maria, I have to say she left a horrible taste in my mouth after Tug. After all, she did break his heart. I will say this, I would have done the same thing and without spoiling anything, I can understand why she did what she did, I don’t have to like it but I get it. I admired her strength and the love she has for her son, Javier. She would do anything to protect him. I also felt for her she was torn for the love of a man and the love of a monster.

HOLY SHET! Seriously, KJ Bell NAILED it! This is one author who constantly leaves me in awe. I love her angstfilledsexyheartachinglybeautifuldrivesmecrazywithcliffy stories. Brady, Aidan, Miller and Battle. Her characters and her stories are simply AWE-MAZING!

If you are looking for a sexy and heartfelt, beautiful struggle of a story, look no further. This is sincerisouly one of my favorite reads of 2015.

Oops... I should not have used the "d" word.

WHAT A LOAD OF BULLSHIT!
Or rather as we say in South Africa... Dit was nou 'n hoop KAK!

Once again the follow up is way over the top with unnecessary dramatics!
And KJ Bell gives you about one chapter at the very end where there is endless bliss that you wish they has experienced a few chapters before.

REALLY? Did you have to go that far with this story? Maria did not deserve that! And Peyton? Rolls my eyes! Whatever!

I am not even eager in the very least to read Liv's story because I know she is gonna end up with Cage but the drama that lies within is what messes me up. NO THANKS!

Review by Jen Hagen
This is a continuation of Tug’s story and you will need to read #1 which is appropriately titled “Tug”.

When we left off in Tug #1, Aidan (Tug) had been hustled…or had he? We were all left wondering who was hustled. Was it Tug or was it Maria? As we begin Tug #2 we are approximately 3 months following the hustle and Aiden is very angry, hurt, and is going through women again to numb his pain. He chases the orgasmic euphoria to forget for a brief second why he hurts so much, but when he crashes back down he remembers…

Tug Hunter is fucking dead.

I hate the man left behind.

He’s empty.

In order to facilitate moving on, Tug decides to remodel his apartment to erase all memories of Maria and her son, Javier…a boy that called Tug “daddy” and whom Tug regarded as his son. Not only did he lose Maria, but he lost his family. It’s been very tough on Tug and my heart broke for him. He never seems to catch a break when it comes to love and the emotional slaughter that comes with it. The interior decorator by the name of Peyton brings a smile to Tug’s otherwise hardened features. Peyton is confident and strong. She doesn’t stand for any of Tug’s bullshit and calls him on it. Peyton is also very beautiful, which equates fueling Tug’s desires.

It is said that people come into your life for a reason and I believe Peyton showed up when I needed her the most, like an angel in waiting. If even only as a distraction from the day-to-day hell I’ve been living, Peyton serves a purpose. She’s a new path and new beginning.

But Tug can’t move on from what he’s lost. He has a plan in place…There’s finally light at the end of the tunnel. I’ve conned the master.

Now Tug finds himself in a conundrum…does he go after Maria or does he see what will happen with Peyton? Peyton is always about taking a risk and finding out what is behind the next door, and she has made it perfectly clear that she is willing to be his second choice (for lack of a better description) falling into the shadow of his still-existing love for Maria. She wants Tug to look to the future and see himself with her.

“Your past is always going to be there, waiting to remind you of who you were or where you came from. You decide how much power those memories have.”

Tug has always found pain when he loves somebody. First it was Tori, and now Maria. He is cold-hearted when he doesn’t love somebody, letting the memories of his past take hold of him. Even when he does allow himself to love he still has a guard around his heart. He was getting so close to letting Peyton break down some of those bricks, but I could understand the conflict that Tug is feeling because I was feeling it with him. How do you let go of somebody you loved so much and move on after a short amount of time? Is Maria really that replaceable? What would I do if I was given a choice? I probably would do the same thing Tug did and go for the complete package that was once his. It wouldn’t matter what collateral damage was being left behind. He can envision his goal and he shared his eyes with me so I could see it also.

Maybe wanting to be with Maria is the wrong choice, but ironically, it was Peyton who taught me that some risks are worth taking. It doesn’t matter because I’m willing to lose everything I have to get my family back, including Peyton.

So now Tug has made his choice. He’s going to try to get back his family and his love. There are lots of twists and turns on his road to happiness. There are times when my eyes were wet with emotion and there were times I laughed seeing the old Tug finally being able to find happiness and be the goofball that he was when we first met him. Before life jaded Tug, he was a character and it has taken him years to find himself again but the pain was worth it. He has found his happiness.

I used to believe when things were broken they could never be fixed. They can, with time and family and love, nothing is irreparable. Healing takes faith. Once I accepted I wasn’t irredeemable, even my tattered heart could be mended.

Although Tug’s story is considered a standalone, if you have not read the previous books in the Irreparable series, I encourage you to do so. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again…that is some of the best angst I’ve ever read!

I am so happy that Ms. Bell has a treat in store for us…there will be 2 installments added to the Irreparable series told from Tug’s POV. Plus we still have Liv’s story to look forward to. So much goodness will be coming our way!! Ms. Bell is a phenomenal writer and I can’t wait to read more Tug, even though I know it will break my heart. I’ll just have to remember that he eventually finds his love.

5+++++ hearts!

KJ Bell is one of my favorite authors, definitely in the top 5. Aidan "Tug" Hunter is one of my most beloved book boyfriends, no question in the top 5. This series has been one that has captivated me from go. Even though I have this blog and talk to authors frequently, its very rare for me to read a book that makes me want to text/message the author and tell them what their story meant to me. This series is just that.

Now with "The Hustle," KJ is finally giving Tug his ending. To say its a HEA would be a slight misnomer. I can't really tell you why without spoiling the story but needless to say, Tug's life doesn't turn out exactly the way he had planned.

This makes the seventh book of KJ's that I have read. This is the second time I have beta read for her. After seven stories, she still seems to surprise me. She can still deliver those WTF moments that will rock your world.

I gotta be honest, I needed Tug to get his own story. When I finally got "Tug," I was a little (okay ALOT) pissed about the cliffhanger. Tug is such a complex character, I knew in my heart he would need a couple tries at life but selfishly I needed to know what happened. His relationship with Maria is so irrational but I guess that's the case with love right?

"The Hustle" is an amazing story of second chances. It's the story of a man and woman who at the end will deal with any obstacle together. Like all other books in this series, everything about it centers around family. Some pages will make you cry, some with make you laugh and many will be the peak moment on the roller coaster where you're scared to keep going but the rush is too hard to resist. It's not your typical romance. Everything will not come up smelling like roses. But if you recognize that life doesn't always work out the way you expected, this is the story for you.

Loved this book hard! The Hustle exceeded my expectations, and then some. <3

Updated:

This book sucked me in from the very first chapter (see what I did there?). Again, KJ Bell has outdone herself. I knew she would rock the socks off of Tug fans everywhere. I am beyond delighted that Ms. Bell took the extra time to release this book. She wanted to make it perfect and special for her readers…and she did. So worth the wait! She knows how many of us are infatuated with him (or is it just me…) and have loved him from the very beginning – since Irreparably Broken.

Tug’s story continues in The Hustle. At the end of Tug, Aidan was left devastated, heartbroken and readers were shocked & pissed off.<--There’s an understatement. Tug messed up… made some mistakes… and Maria totally burned him – big time. It’s no wonder he turns into such a snide, cold-hearted and uncaring asshole. I would too if my heart has been put through the wringer like his.

We were introduced to a new character, Peyton Miles. I immediately fell in love with her. She’s smart, sassy, and did not put up with Aidan’s shit. She easily dished it right back. Ms. Bell has a talent that makes you fall in love with her characters...you won’t be able to help yourself. Even as much as Maria pissed me off at the end of Tug, the author and her fabulous writing convinced me to start liking her again.

Ms. Bell’s writing style is one that I really enjoy reading – she can tell a great story and her books are full of emotions. You will laugh, you will cry, you will fan yourself, you will say ‘WTF’ many times, you will want to throw your e-reader. But in the end, you will be grateful for her amazing story.

I couldn’t be happier with the ending of this book. FINALLY – we get closure! Finally Tug is happy and getting the love he has always wanted...and deserves! Effing brilliant! Love your face, KJ Bell. <3

5 Crazy Ass Stars!!!!!

I was not expecting the story to turn out like this. I didn't read the synopsis before reading this because I was just so excited to see that Tug was back! OMG, was I ever surprised by the introduction to Peyton. At first, I was torn with her and Tug's relationship. I still held out hope for Maria. Okay, okay, I'm saying too much now and I am afraid of leaving a spoiler. I absolutely love this series and this is a Crazy Ass Must Read!!!

“There’s a monster living inside of me, an endless voice with devious intentions.”
“At times I want to evict the monster, but without him, I have to feel the pain that scheming bitch left behind.”

I was invested in Tug since the first book in the Irreparable series. The way KJ left us with Tug in the first book, I was waiting anxiously for this book. KJ just captivates you attention from the moment you start the book until the very end. There is so much angst and drama packed into this very book. You won’t want to put it down. This book definitely made it worth the wait…

“No one will make me feel alive the way she did.”

Aiden Hunter got the biggest hustle of his life when Maria took Javier and just left him one day. He loved them both fiercely and then all of a sudden, he was ripped apart when they left. Life without them has been numb. Barely seeing his family, the monotony of work just to keep busy, and hooking up with numerous nameless women just to satisfy his release. As selfish as he may be, that’s who he has become. His needs have become a priority in the bedroom. The fun loving, caring, kind hearted Tug we knew and loved no longer existed. He has turned into a moody, arrogant asshole, who walks around like he doesn’t give a care in the world. Aiden has even distanced himself from his family. The family that has always been the glue to his world.

“It is said that people come into your life for a reason and I believe Peyton showed up when I needed her the most, like an angel in the waiting.”

Peyton Miles is your beautiful, confident, sassy, independent woman who doesn’t need nor want any help from anyone. She comes into play to do some redo Aiden’s loft. Even with Aiden’s current mood, she doesn’t take any of his crap from him. She’s able to dish it right back to him. Which I love. There’s some kind of physical chemistry in the air, right off the bat. And they both know it. She is all business with him, constantly denying the playful passes that Aiden is throwing at her. He knows how good they can be. She knows he will break her heart. Peyton has had her fair share of broken hearts and is not in the market for any more. However, despite Aiden’s cocky and douchebag behavior, she seems to bring out a playful side of him under that rough exterior. She senses that he has recently had his heart crushed and tries to reassure him that life does indeed go on.

“No you’re a good guy with a huge heart that’s been through bad times. Knowing the difference comes from how much control you give your past."

Aiden feels as if he is destined to be alone for the rest of his life. His love for Maria is still very strong, and he hasn’t stopped his search for her. His family is relentless in wanting to help him to move on yet he doesn’t want to hear it. He just isn’t ready. But it is Peyton who helps him see things clearly. After spending some time with her, he sees it’s a possibility of being happy with her and can’t see his future without her. He is breaking that barrier through his heart. And she herself is giving in to that attraction that sears through them both. Though when Aiden finds the truth about Maria, he must make a choice that will devastate someone. He is bound to lose someone he cares about. But sometimes, even the wrong choices we think we make are the ones we can’t control in the end.

“I fail everyone I ever choose to love. I always choose wrong.”
Will Aiden choose to chase after his past? Or will he choose a new future with Peyton? Or will it all end badly and he will lose them both? Is he ready for that again? Can he deal with that type of pain? And can he live without one of them not in his life?
“Sometimes you don’t see the hustle coming until it’s too late.”

You will definitely wall in love with Aiden a lot more after you read this book. I know I sure did. The raw emotions that he goes through in this one, surpasses the other ones that he’s ever gone through. There were times where I go from wanting to slap some sense into him to where I want to just wrap my arms around him. And Peyton..I loved that KJ brought her to Aiden. She’s a perfect fit for him. It’s like she balances him out. And I absolutely love the fact that she challenges him and take his crap for nothing. And the family. I love the fact that despite the fact that everything that they’ve been through, they are always there for one another in the end.

Tug. Tug.... Aidan

Firstly I'm not sure I can come to terms with Tug no longer being Tug but Aidan so before I start I'm going to warn you I will most definitely be continuing to call him Tug even if he himself doesn't feel like Tug any longer!!

Tug book 1 made me cry massive amounts at the end. Him & Maria deserved the happiness they found together, they did not need the heartbreak they had to deal with but hey everyone can't have a happy ending. Question is can they get the HEA they deserve in 'The Hustle'?

Tug is broken, he wants his family back. He had thought Tori shattered his heart but that is nothing compared to how Maria left him when she left with Javier and went back to her Baby Daddy!

Tug is all prepared to get his own back on the people who ruined his life. He wants to clear his house of all signs of Maria & Javier so he calls in an interior decorator.
Introducing Peyton. Peyton is a sexy little thing, with a feisty attitude to match. Aidan has never had someone to put him in his place & tell him 'NO' before, but Peyton is not scared to tell him she isn't interested.

As things process & Tugs plan comes together to get his revenge, all is not as it first seems. Tug soon learns the truth & he has an all new prospective on his mission. His new mission is to get his family back & resume life with the love of his life & their son.

But wait, what will Tug do with Peyton? She has clearly starting falling for him and him for her. Who can blame them? She was a comfort when nobody else could break through his walls. It's 'Okay' though. Peyton knew Tugs heart would never be hers, he always belonged to Maria.

Who will own Tugs heart in the end?
Who will Tug realise is the girl he can see in his future?

As much as he loves Maria & Javier he can't seem to stop thinking about Peyton. Both complete opposites of the other, but only one needs saving. The other is an independent women who doesn't NEED tug she just WANTS him!

This book was an emotional roller-coaster for me! I loved Tug & couldn't wait to pick up this book so when I had a chance to review before release I jumped at the chance. I was heartbroken at parts in this book but my heart swelled at other parts. It was a real emotion tester and I couldn't put it down. It pulled me in and spat me out feeling drained and suffering a book hangover.

I'm gutted this is the last in Tugs story but I'm guessing he will feature largely in his sister Liv's book. What ever will I do with my life when there is no book featuring Tug?

Let's get to my rating. As you have all probably guessed by now, I am eating The Hustle 5 rugged stars *****
The book has it all. Drama, love, heartbreak, angst, comedy! What more could you want from Author KJ Bell? This women just keeps getting better & BETTER!!

When I was first introduced to Tug in Irreparably Broken, I had such a soft spot for him. He was a pain in the rear, and what a smart mouth. But when he grew up to be a HOT successful business man and had a way with the ladies, well... I sure took notice. He really became this complex character and he was really just trying to find his way. I feel like he got the short end of the stick with his love choices. All I have ever wanted for Tug was to just get his own happiness. This guy is so deserving of it.

The Hustle is a story that I kept thinking it had reached a climax and it just kept going. So much was going on and I could not put it down. I kept waiting for the happy ever after and more stuff just kept happening. Just when I thought the book was going in the direction I wanted it to go...BAM! It changed its course and I was left feeling empty. Now what! Well Tug finally really starts to try to find his heart and what's best for him. He still cannot let the good stuff in, but he sure is trying. And of course it takes a strong woman to rally in his corner to make that happen. Peyton was such a head strong woman but also so sensitive that she was not going to take Tugs crap or let him walk away. She was the perfect balance of what he needed. They are so sexy together and its nice to see him realize that he can have it all with all. There is nothing more I wanted to happen in this story but for it all to come together and Tug to have his happiness. Sad to see this story end but it was a fantastic read and had me the whole time on the edge of my seat. I will always have a soft spot for my TUG :)

Aidan is no longer the humorous loving Tug. He has become a monster, a man on a mission for revenge and to soon sabotage his own hustle.

Maria and her son are still gone, months have gone by, his revolving door of women in and out of his bed, until the unexpected happens, a visit from his new interior decorator shows up at his door. Peyton Miles is the complete opposite of Maria and since he can't have the woman he wants, maybe Peyton could replace her for a while. Mistakes are taken place, Aidan loses both women but will he survive and fight for his true feelings to get the right one back?

This story brought more than expected and it definitely brought the unexpected. Aidan tugged at my heart once again. Cannot wait for Liv's story!

ARC/Honest Review

5 Tug Love Stars!!

"Okay"
I love when I cannot predict a book. My heart was racing within just a few words into chapter 1. I was on the edge of my seat and continuously flipping pages. I loved every minute and every word of this book. Every page came alive and some of these scenes melted your heart. So I would recommend this series to all of you so you can be sucked into the madness that is "Tug Love"

Happy Reading;)

Be sure to pick up book 1 first this is the 2nd book in the series..

Such a huge twist! I have to admit I wasn't overly impressed with the first 2 books and the only reason I continued with the series was because I had already bought them and had them sitting on my kindle for months before I read them.

I will say that this book was a big improvement and did keep me reading. There were some things that I felt weren't fully explained which is why I haven't scored it higher. Also I didn't really like the direction it went in the end and some of the 'conclusions' Tug reached as he came to term with what happened and moved on. I felt they undermined what he felt for Maria and reduced the significance of her sacrifice.

WOW. What an emotional roller coaster this book has been. By far this is one of the top series I have ever read.

K.J. Bell's writing is refreshing and her stories remind me of Katrina Halle's: unconventional, angsty and exhilarating.

I can't wait for Liv's story, I'm sure Ms. Bell will put her through the ringer to get her HEA :)

I have not read any of the stories before this one so my review is solely based on this story.

Spoilers ---

I have to say I dont think the hero loved the heroine. The OW's death caused him to reluctantly (yes even then reluctantly) chose heroine and that too because she approached him otherwise they would never have ended up together.

All that anger and resentment he felt for OW's actions at the start of this book went out poof - that was mind-boggling. I dont care what her reasonings were but apparently what she did in book 3 was bad enough for him to want revenge from her and then he goes and forgets about it after just one text from her. Didnt make sense. He was an unlikable person and he didnt deserve the heroine Peyton.

Their relationship development in the first half of the story was not well done either. Her almost begging him to chose her and then taking a some what stand for herself in the whole book was demeaning for a strong character. The author tried to show that she was pragmatic person but in doing so the author made her look weak and not self-respecting.

I also dont understand whats Javiar character. Was he some sort of merry sue so much so that heroine doesnt want to have another child because of age difference. For GOD sake he is not even her own child. He is the child of a woman your husband still loves. I get heroine being generous and loving towards the child but this was too much for me. Her even encouraging the hero for getting OW's reminder tattoo on her body was too much for me too. That is not realistic reactions of a rational person. People accept pasts and past love but they dont go out of way like this heroine went. I dont know what was going through the writer's mind.

maybe I have to read rest of the books to understand hero's choices or his relationship with the child who was not even his own but this all seemed strange to me.

Heroine should have shown some backbone and self-respect to walk away from him - real walk away not the kind inwhich she was just waiting around first corner indefinitely for him to come for her.

Bottom line - hero didnt love the heroine who knew the fact. He chose OW over heroine and would have gone to her if she had not died.

Not sure I can even finish this one. I'm really trying but it's a real struggling. I'm just skimming through the rest at this point and even that is becoming difficult to do. Since the obviously unexpected nosedive, I've tried to give this whole second chance idea a go, hoping to get on board but the more I read the less I like and the more turned off I get. You've diminished and devalued a person that you helped us care about and support in the previous book, making her way too easily dispensable. Yeah you tried to pad the grief and all that but it's still crap, especially since she was already being replaced long before the story took that whole big turn. When you make her so easily replaceable for even her own child? Yeah, I had enough. Still trying to force my way through to the end but you've already completely lost me on this one. You made a character nothing more than a fill-in after making us believe what they shared was real. You devalued her and her life for the other characters. Repeatedly so.
I get wanting to make the story different from all the others; I get that real life emotions and feelings aren't always pretty; but this whole spin you've taken is just not something I'd be able to support or be happy for. It's a major turnoff.
I was completely hooked by this series up until now but to get this far and end up this disappointed feels like an absolute waste of all my time until now. Not sure I want to risk giving other books from this author a try.

Great great ending.

In each of the books I’ve had my fingers crossed for Camilla and Paco. I kept wondering!! Was so READY for things to happen for them and I am relieved and ecstatic!! Yay!!!

Words cannot express how my heart continually broke for poor Tug. Apparently he had a lot to learn but he finally makes it through his own personal hell to a relationship that is worthy.

Maria, holy smokes. Just holy smokes. Talk about being between a rock and a hard place. My word. I liked Maria but she wasn’t worthy of Tug. He needed someone stronger and there for HIM. His life has been anything but easy. Bouncing between relationships and it just felt for me like he was constantly bouncing. So time to take stock or make decisions. Things just kept perpetuating out of his control.

I’m also happy for Liv. So thankful she got her head outta her ass!

So thankful that Brody grew up. He was finally able to be there for Tug when he was needed the most.

Thankful for Liv and for Tori. It felt like they finally were growing out of their parents black cloud and really started living. Just totally taking the reins and deciding life was no longer going to hand them their future, they were going to have to reach in, hands bloodied and all and TAKE their future themselves.

Highly recommend. Outstanding series.

This book is gross it a love triangle. The guy has a choice between two women chooses one. Then the one he chose dies and then goes back to the other one whom he said himself he used to get over the one he chose and that he loved her but not as much as the one he chose and then after all that the doormat he didn’t choose comes back and chases HIM? This book is the epitome of second choice ew

It was a good book but I'm disappointed in the story line. I kept waiting for the other shoe to drop and it did in a round about way. K J Bell is an awesome writer and I definitely recommend the series!

What can I say... Ms Bell has again knocked this series out of the ball park! She has the gift of telling a story and I'm never disappointed in anything she writes. Can't wait for the next book in this series!
