She’ll do anything to protect her family … even mate with the sexiest alien she ever hated.
Lexi Garcia is fed up with Draconians. The dragon shifters have ruined her life! They came to Earth asking human women to sign up for their mating lottery. In exchange, they've offered to share advanced technology with humanity.
But someone on their armada is selling other--forbidden--Draconian technology to greedy criminals, and the black market in advanced technology has ensnared Lexi’s family. Her father owes money to a tech-dealing mobster--who wants her sister as payment.
To save them both, Lexi has no choice but to join the lottery and submit herself to a Draconian. Sure, the one she’s been matched with is super sweet, seven feet tall, muscular ... devastatingly sexy. But she hates him.
Doesn't she?
Nash Or, Commander of the Draconian Navy, knows Lexi is meant to be his. Her strength and loyalty are as compelling as her sexy curves. He just needs to convince her that not all Draconians are bad. Can Nash put a stop to the underground technology that’s enslaving humans while he woos his sassy bride?

This one was so badly written that it was freaking hilarious. The main characters are flat and at times so stupid they're actually adorable. The plot holes are bigger than the moon craters. Still it was short and light and a good filler for a surprise free evening.
This novella rubbed me the wrong way: A father forges her daughter's signature in order to sell her to the Draconians in exchange for a massive dowry. And Lexi forgives him just because she is lucky enough to wind up happy after all?
Can I just say that I HATE this message? Be the bigger man woman... and forgive what's done to you because it's expected of you as a member of the "gentle sex."
Hell no, the dad can go f... himself. 1.5 stars.
The only highlight was the commander who - after all - was willing to wait for her sake.
I'm going back to authors who treat their heroines in a more up-to-date fashion.
It was a fun insta-love alien romance story. The romance and love were a little rushed, which was somewhat expected considering the length of the book. I enjoyed reading from both of the main character's povs.
However, the bride's father deserves to be in jail! HE DOESN'T DESERVE TO BE FREE. He essentially traffics his daughter to pay off his debts!. And at the end of the book, the bride sort of forgives her father after what he did to her! It made me so angry!

I received an ARC of 'Alien Commander's Bride' from the author, in exchange for an honest review.
The whole alien genre is something I realised I liked alot this year, so I jumped at the chance to read this book by Scarlett. I quickly found myself in a time when Earth is in economic turmoil after the Draconians first landed & started the mating raffles, it had me intrigued. 'Alien Commander's Bride' is book 1 in Scarlett's "Draconians" series. New alien technology & drugs that keep you awake for days, has left Lexi to look after her sister, while her father is stuck in the dark web. Her father owes money, so to pay of his debts he signs Lexi up in the mating raffle against her wishes... I loved how Scarlett wrote this story, you had everything that draws you into a story, an amazing backstory, a sassy leading lady, the action; steamy or otherwise... everything weaved together in the story, that had me entranced until the end. I can't wait to read the next book in this new series & also other books from Scarlett
An alien dragon race has come to earth looking for mates through a lottery. Lexi's father inserts her into the lottery without her knowledge. Now Lexi is faced with the ultimate decision - save the sister she loves from being taken to work in a brothel to pay her fathers debts by agreeing to the mating or selflessly try to weasel her way out of it.
The cover caught my eye as well as the great synopsis and I just had to buy this book. I thought the idea was fantastic and I liked that the drug of choice for humans was advanced technology. That was cool and different. I would have liked for Nash to be a little more alpha and less puppy dog like with Lexi, but overall it was a quick, light read.
2 stars cause I at least finished reading this Novella. The flow is choppy, the plot is full of holes, the characters are flat, the whole premise of the story is confusing. This wasn't even about good alien sex scenes. I don't recommend this, definitely don't pay $ for this, thankfully it was free on Amazon, I'm only mad for wasting my time reading it.
Nash is a very proud man, “I’ve had the apartment furnished for you, my beloved bride. I am pleased it is to your liking.” Nash was so damn sweet, but at the same time dominating. I liked this book.
Characters don't seem like real people: 1. The way they talk is weird (too many exclamations in a non-emotional conversation for example) 2. The way they react to things is implausible (druggie dad essentially sells daughter for dowry - girl is kinda mad at him [enough to be tense when he hugs her goodbye] but forgives him since she ends up with a nice guy that's hot and rich. Sister is fairly OK with all of this based on her lack of reaction). 3. The conversations themselves are odd and disjointed (for example - [paraphrasing] Lexi:"I'm not comfortable mating you, this pairing was without my consent and you have a scary/big penis ... but you are kinda a nice guy." Nash: "That makes sense. I'm going to go check on the garbage ship now.")
Plot is poorly constructed. Not going to bother with examples, it's just dumb from beginning to end. Definitley not going to continue the series.
Beyond the series itself, Juno Wells has a "Draconian Brides" series that doesn't seem to fit into this series (a joint venture with Scarlett Grove) at all. The structure of Draconian society across these two series with a shared author is completely different. In this series there are fated mates with 1:1 pairings and the guys can shift into dragons, while in the other there is a queen and lots of warriors that do NOT turn into dragons and the guys can carry eggs (like seahorses I guess). This is really confusing to me. Why have a "Draconians" series and a "Draconian Brides" series that are essentially completely independent/unrelated with the same name? I've only read one book from the brides series so far, but it's much better written than this one (though there are typos and also has way too easy/implausible HEAs).
The premise was interesting! It had real potential. I was hoping that the characters would address the class and poverty issues that the Draconians had caused. However it's never carried through. Lexi is meant to resent the dragons and their influence but immediately changes her tune. The fact that her dad forged her signature is not cool and it makes me furious that her dad doesn't get any sort of punishment for doing so.
The biggest issue I had though? Nash puts his semen on Lexi's skin, knowing that it will affect her opinion of him. The explanation is that it produces pheremones that will make her more likely to accept the bond.
He doesn't tell her that this is what it does. He pretends to leave her alone to come around by herself knowing full well that the chemicals speed up the process from months/years to mere days.
It seriously calls into question the validity of Lexi's emotions. It robs us of the satisfaction of seeing Lexi come around to liking and eventually loving Nash. It paints Nash in such a negative light that I completely lost all interest in their romance.

Lexi Garcia was annoying and one dimensional, Nash Or was too simpering for a commander who had such a larger fleet under his command. There was no setting established where the command structure was concerned. I found it hard to believe that he would be the one to trace the leak and not even leave someone in charge when he went to earth. Never mind break protocol and take Lexi with him and have no repercussions. I mean leaders lead by example and the rest of the crew will have this to hold over his head when they break protocols.
The story where Melody still gets taken made little sense and seems to come out of left field. Did the villain think the commander's sister in law would go missing and Nash's response would be oh well, so sad? And that issue was solved rather too quickly and so added no value to the story. Also what exactly shows the draconians' intelligence, the recall of all military personnel when the Mulgor could easily attack the mating armada? Or maybe their blase disregard of the deterioration of human society when they know they are going to need them after another five millennia?
Yeah, the Draconians be real smart?

This book was pretty damn good I wasn't expecting it to catch my undivided attention so soon. From the first page to the last.
Character breakdown;
Lexi; she's a good example of what misplaced hate can do to people, can blind people. But aside from that I loved that she was a spitfire though too stubborn for her own good. Her fierce loyalty for her family was admiral I like to think she now do the same for her mate.
Nash; loyal, warrior and patient he needed that. I liked him he wasn't so alpha but you could tell he take what he wanted if need be. Also seven feet aliens tend to be intimidating.
Though the book was quick with the danger whizzing by quickly, there was enough of it to satisfy and a steamy scene to bring it all together. Worth it.
So I started with the third book in the series and could not wait to start the series with the first book. I was not disappointed. I love the sassy, smart and independent Lexi of earth. Signed up to be a bride to the alien dragon shifter by her dad for the money. To protect her sister she did what she had to do but was not going to make it simple on Nash Or. Not only is he rich he is the leader of the Draconian ships, but he axpects her to be fully into him right away. Nash just figured his one true mate would be glad to see him but that is not what happened. After showing her she really was the one, Nash learned from Lexi what was really going on down on earth. He had no idea, but he would fix this for his people and for his mate and her family. Loved this book, and being brought into the alien dragon world. Hope this is a long series.
Nash is the commander of the Draconian army and eagerly awaits his fated mate. This is the second book I've read in the series and I have a couple observations. The Draconians came to Earth before 5000 years ago presumably to caveman, fine but why would they a species that's been around for millions of years expect to still be so primitive? Knowing you'd need to come back for more mates why wouldn't you keep tabs on the planet? Also since they're so smart, why wouldn't you keep better track of your technology? Why do they think they're fated mates when it's a match made by computer? At least in this book Nash has taken the time to learn about humans and doesn't look down on them. I'll keep reading the series.
This is going to be difficult to review, purely because I sort of did enjoy the story despite the creepy vibes it gave me. I liked the lottery thing, I liked the world description. What creeped me out was the iffy permission and the Dragon jism being an aphrodisiac and the way „it changed her mind about him“ to me that’s drugging someone into compliance....which is not good. I enjoyed the story because he did care for her and she eventually (with help from his juice) fall for him, but since I consider this a very light erotic read I’m not going to dig too deep into all the ways this was just borderline wrong.

Betrayed by her father, Lexie Garcia was signed up for the Alien Bride Lottery when her dad hacked into the bride lottery and put her info in without her consent. Once in, she couldn’t get out. She was matched to Commander Nash Or, the Dragon in charge of the Draconian fleet. Her dad did this to save his own hide because he was in debt to the mob and they were threatening to take his youngest saughter as payment. So, he sold one daughter instead of the other, taking the lesser of two evils.
Nash had a lot of pissed off woman to get past before he is able to claim his bride, but all’s well that ends well.
So I have to agree with some of the other reviews. 1) This was a very quick read. 2) Even though I did finish the book it was a bit disjointed with missing words and 3) For Nash, Our big bad Alien Commander, he was way to sweet lacking what I would expect in a military commander and dragon.
The best things I can say about the book as that it was a short read and that it ended with a HEA, no cliffhanger. I'm not sure about continuing with the series at this time because I have a large TBR of books to read. Since this was a first book in the series I will check out book 2 before coming back to this series.
Lexi hates the Dragonians who have come to earth for mated brides through a Dating Agency that women choose to put themselves on the bridal lottery. The superior technology that earth is getting in exchange, is also being sold on the black market. It is run by the Mafia who are also selling stronger and newer drugs derived from the dishonest Dragonians. Lexi’s father who is caught up in the drugs, without her knowledge, signs her up for the bridal lottery. She makes a match with Nash, The Commander of the alien fleet. Sexy, short, emotional, tense and surprising.
I got this book in exchange for a voluntary review. Lexi is volunteered for the Draconian mating lottery by her father because he needs the money to pay off his debts. She goes because she wants to save her sister, Melody, from a life of prostitution. Commander Or is her mate and will do anything to convince her of that and keep her. This book is a love story in development. At first Lexi is scared of Nash but she grows to love him as he proves time and time again that he will take care of her and protect her and her family.
Nash is the military leader of an Alien mission where everything is going wrong, and the support from home simply isn't what he'd wish. Lexi is a human college student all too aware how the aliens have messed up life on Earth, but until she gets to know Nash she has no idea they're trying to fix it.
I loved these characters, her stubbornness and frustration with her family, balanced by his hope for the future.
Absolutely loved this book and would thoroughly recommend it and hope that others enjoy it as much as I did. Lexi never wanted to be a bride to a Draconian warrior and would not have entered in the mating lottery but her Dad did hack into the system and signed up as her. Nash the Commander of the Draconian mating fleet is pleased when he sees that his mate has been found. Can these two people overcome the obstacles and see that together they are better.
I’ve read a different set of books about Draconian warriors that was sweet and adorable. The author is linked to this series so I thought would try it. Wow am I disappointed. I am actually rather nauseated. Not sweet, not well written and not full characters.
Woman is sold against her will to the draconian, he insists on his marital rights even though she is completely against it and met him ten minutes ago. It’s just ick.
I was recommended to this series by an author friend and I decided to give it a shot. This was an okay read. I just didn’t like how one second the main girl character is hating aliens then jumps one the next second.
P.S. Sorry for the short and sweet review. I had over thirty reviews to do today.
Interesting concept of possible life with Aliens but done in a way that's very believable. Who's to know that wouldn't be the way in the future. Everything about this book makes you want to read without putting it down. That's what a good author does with their stories.v highly recommend this book
