Prey is a short story, sitting as book nine-point-five in the Impossible series. I found the story sitting at the end of my copy of Impossible, and despite telling myself to wait and read it in order I found I couldn’t hold off reading it. I found myself diving straight into the story, wanting more from the characters I enjoyed so much.
In truth, I feel as though I may have enjoyed this a bit more had I held off on reading it. It was a wonderful story in and of itself, but I’ve now been given insights into details that have yet to come into play in the series. I do not mind such a thing, but I feel as though I would have had a greater appreciation for some of the details and events had I known more about the overall series.
As I said, though, this was still a wonderful story. It gives us an insight into the lives of our main characters from Impossible following on from the ending of the first book, allowing us to see what came next. I love such stories, and this one held my attention throughout. In fact, I devoured it in no time at all.
It was steamy as can be, with action to keep you on your toes. It allowed for a deeper insight into the chemistry between the two characters, giving us that little bit more fans crave, and throwing in some further conclusion for certain elements from the first book.
Very much worth reading if you’re a fan of the series: it may be short, but it’s certainly worth it.

This is book 9.5 of the Impossible series by Julia Sykes. Sean and Claudia Reynolds have been together for two years, they are now married and she's four months pregnant with their first child. They didn't meet under the best circumstances - Two years ago Sean was shot and his best friend, Bradley kidnapped Claudia because she's a doctor. They got through it together and ended up falling madly in love and Bradley ended up in prison. Sean has planned a special night out for her at Club Decadence where he intends on pushing her limits. Sean is a Dominant and Claudia has no problem submitting to him in their bedroom but she's never done it in front of an audience before. When they get to the club we also get to see ; Clayton & Rose, Smith & Lydia, Derek & Sharon, and Javier & Charlotte. It's a short but very steamy read with a little drama at the end and if you're a fan of the Impossible series then you should definitely read this.

If you've read the rest of the Impossible series you'll love this short story! Sean and Claudia visit the BDSM club, Decadence, once again for a private party with all their friends!
If you haven't read any of the series this is only a tease of some of the things that happens and you need to read all the other books as well!

Sexy as always
I love this uber sexy series. Sean and Claudia were featured in the first book I read from this series. They hooked me in and led me into an addiction to this author. Now I've read nine books from this series, and have more downloaded and waiting. This was a short steamy update on Claudia and Sean. We catch up with a few other favorite characters too before a surprisingly suspenseful end. I can't wait for more!

Prey is a short story by Julia Sykes. It is a steamy update on Sean and Claudia and how they are doing 2 years later. The couple heads to Decadence, the BDSM club to enjoy some private time with friends. But of course it wouldn't be a true Julia novella without a little surprise at the end.

Loved reading about these two again! It was nice to see how their relationship has progressed, and there was some surprises thrown in that I didn't expect.
