Learning to Be Little Again

Rate this book
Twenty-four-year-old Juliana once loved being a little, until the cruelty of the man she had called daddy broke her heart and she decided to never be little again. But when she fails to take care of herself and becomes ill, a worried friend brings her to Dr. Robert O'Connor, claiming that he will understand what she needs. Juliana is embarrassed and nervous, but to her surprise, Robert gives her a teddy bear and tells her a fairy tale to help her relax. Though the exam is intimate and thorough, Juliana feels safe the whole time and hopes afterwards that she'll see more of the handsome doctor.
From the moment Robert heard about Juliana's past, he wanted nothing more than to take away her pain and make sure she never has to worry about anyone hurting her again. He is thrilled when he asks her out and she shyly agrees. Though Juliana claims she doesn't want to be a little anymore, he longs to prove to her that age play with him is nothing to fear. Robert is a patient man, and before long Juliana is calling him "daddy," playing with her dolls, and coloring. He delights in taking care of her every need, dressing her in footie pajamas, and brushing her hair. Even when Juliana is disobedient and Robert has to put his baby girl over his knee and spank her bare bottom, it is always followed by plenty of loving hugs and cuddles.
Soon Juliana is eating more and sleeping better, and feels healthier than she has in a long time. But when the man who once mistreated her skips bail and threatens to hurt her if she continues to see her new daddy, she becomes terrified. Will she ever be free to relax in her daddy's arms, knowing he will keep his little girl safe from everything and love her no matter what?
Publisher's Note: Learning to be Little Again is a stand-alone sequel to Little Samantha's Choice. It is an erotic romance novel that contains spankings, age play, medical play, anal play, sexual scenes, elements of BDSM, and more. If such material offends you, please don't buy this book.

To be honest I was sceptical about this book at first. Age play isn't my kink at all. But - as an active lifestyler - I try to be open to things as well.
I think this book gives a good insight to both the Daddy's and the little one's perspective. And it shows how D/s couples mingle their lifestyle with their vanilla lifes.

Julianna thought and acted like a child in real life which made the age play scenes with Robert redundant. They did not mix sex with their age play. The sex did take the back burner to the age play and it was blah.

So I loved Robert and didn't care for Julianna. Both the age play and sex scenes were boring.

So many missed medical play opportunities since Robert was a GP.

This story started out well enough, my first to read in this genre, which i am very curious about, but towards the end it went downhill for me.

I didn't enjoy the diaper play and the FORCED age regression, not cool, she should be able to say no and he respect her hard limits, regardless of what he "thinks" is best for her

She talks about how she should have been honest with him, to tell him her feelings about what he was doing to her, but that would not have worked since he WAS NOT listening to arguments, he only sees her as a little and never as a true adult, so when she starts to voice her opinion he disciplines her for talking back.

"our lines of communication were just messed up" she said to Samantha as if things were fixed. At this point H and H still had NOT talked about what went wrong, so their lines of communication where still messed up. and now it is the epilogue and they still have not had a conversation about hard limits. Thought the epilogue did end the book on a high note.

It was okay, but nothing more than that.

It felt a lot like Samantha's story in the previous book. Similiar kind of relationship. Similar rules, schedule, and so on.

Juliana is supposed to be somewhat traumatized, and there's supposed to be this bad guy around, but none of it takes up a big part of the story. It's mostly about Robert and Juliana establishing their relationship, and then throw in some age-play stuff, a minor conflict, and an ending to wrap it all up.

The age-play stuff felt a bit too light for my tastes. Since their relationship doesn't mix age-play and sex, and since Juliana's little girl age is around 6, then the age-play activities end up being somewhat mundane.

It's alright, but as said, nothing more than that.

I have to admit, age-play books have never appealed to me personally. I have nothing against the lifestyle, but I just didn’t really understand it. So needless to say, this is the first one that I have read, and I do have to say, I am quite shocked at how enjoyable the story was.

I will also admit that one of the reasons why I didn’t read any age-play was because even though I know it’s between two consenting adults, the mindset was still young for one of the characters, and honestly I didn’t want to read about that. So I was so glad, and it’s one of the reasons that I loved this story, because Ms. O’Reilly kept the boundaries so clear, there was no way for that line to be crossed.

I loved the characters that she created, both Juliana and Robert were both great. And I loved being able to follow along with Juliana as she began to trust again. To me, that was the best part of the book was being able to watch as she grew back into herself and gained her courage again.

Overall, while I’m still not a complete fan of age-play, I would love to read more from Ms. O’Reilly in the future.

Juliana is supposed to be leery of entering into another age play relationship and letting her little side out but that is not what I got from the story at all. Yes she is messed up in the head due to the abuse of her first Daddy. However from what I read she has no adult life aside from her job I suppose. It made no difference if she was supposed to be in her little role or an adult it was all little all the time. For me that made it hard to see any real growth of character.

Wow! What a ride! This was an emotional heart wrenching fun book that I highly recommend to anyone who likes AP. This seems like a very beginner AP book and it isn't super extreme. I loved it. I read it in about five hours straight because I was so hooked. I had to keep turning the pages and seeing what happened next. I thought I knew what was going to happen then BAM! I was glued to the book and couldn't put it down until the very last page. This was a beautiful story about real love. The author did an amazing job on this story. The story line is real you know? It isn't some fantasy story. This could actually happen and I loved every page. The sex is sizzling and the AP is perfectly done. I totally cried like a baby at the end. This book is a reminder that its still okay to be a kid sometimes. Highly recommend this book!

Angsty little girl.
It strikes me that there doesn't seem to be a explanation for the stars that are given. So I thought I'd start giving my take on it.
1 horrible no redeeming qualities.
2 there are redeeming qualities.
3 good worth reading, or well written but not my cup of tea.
4 great but there's something off.
5 loved it.

So now about this story. I couldn't stop listening, I can't wait for more of this series. I want to say more about this story but I absolutely hate spoilers, so I won't do it to you by going into details.

My heart broke for Juliana. The torture sh endured scarred her for life. She stopped being a little, something she loved. I cannot even imagine the pain and mental anguish she went through. When her friend takes her to a doctor that is also in the lifestyle, things get better for Juliana. Robert is professional and creates a trust between Juliana and himself. It is that trust that helps Juliana come out of her shell and start to heal. I enjoyed following this couple through all the ups and downs of the healing process. The twist in the story adds depth to it and keeps those pages turning themselves. This is definitely a story to read.

Sierra Kane is a great narrator for Juliana. Juliana is a complex character and Ms. Kane brings her to life. Ms. Kane has a smooth male voice. Ms. Kane brought out all of the feels that this story holds. I enjoyed her narration and look forward to hearing more from Sierra Kane.

UWritten by a little?

I was intrigued by the premise of this story--the heroine had been in an abusive age-play relationship and was determined not to enter into another, while the hero wanted to show her that with balance, respect, and communication, it could still possible. In the end, he became just as abusive, albeit temporarily, by ignoring her wishes and putting her in a position of total helplessness after she sustains an injury at the hands of her abusive ex. There was also a lot of weird bratty episodes, and unfortunately, the whole story felt like it was written by a "little" and not an adult.

Heartwarming

Wonderfully written book, loved every bit of it and read it in one sitting, I just couldn't put it down. After getting out of an abusive relationship. Juliana is struggling to cope; not eating or sleeping she is losing to much weight. With the help of her friend Mark, he takes her to his friend and GP Robert to find out what is wrong with her. Juliana brings out his protective streak and with his help she is starting to mend until her ex shows up threatening her and undoes all the progress she made. This story has so many surprises including a rave against time to save her, you will not want to put the book down.

I liked it but there was a few things that could've been better. I didn't like the way we just don't know anything about Robert's past life or anything, how he feels about being daddy, how did he got into the lifestyle, etc

I did like the roleplaying, but it was kinda confusing. age play is kinky and +18 but the girl was more age regressing/dreaming to me. I don't know if the author doesn't know the difference or anything, but felt kinda meh at times.

I wouldn't recommend it as a dd/lg book to start reading about the lifestyle, but it is okay for the most part ^^

Story line ok

While the story line was good I felt like I came late to the party. Not a lot of backstory, which left the reader at a disadvantage. Never said what happened to her kidnapper? Overall this story needs some tightening up. Then there is the misspelling and poor grammar. I can forgive many things but if it interferes with the flow to the point of frustration then arrggg!

Very beautiful story

Trust is a very important part of every relationship, and when a previous one has shattered that trust it is very hard to find it again. This is a beautiful story about a little who finds that perfect daddy if she can only trust him.

The relationship is beautiful to watch as it grows and she learns to trust again. But will she be able to get over all her fears and find happiness? Come along for a great read to find out.

Robert was an amazing daddy dom. Julianna did anoy me at times with how fast she changed her mind. One minute she'd be in little space and the next she'd be al 'fuck me, Robert!'. It got very irritating! I loved when they were rol playing but at around 50% she was al like I want to be an adult and blah blah blah! It would have been better if she was more excepting of her little side. But overall it was a good story.

Juliana Finds Her Real Daddy

Juliana had been horribly abused by a sadistic idiot who had convinced her that she didn't know how to age play. She's in such bad shape a friend steps in. Robert is a doctor as well as a daddy Dom. This is their story and it was well worth the time reading.

Lovely story

The story starts with a traumatized young woman who meets a doctor and also a daddy. She slowly learns how to trust again as they both fall in love. The author did a great job of building up the story until they have a hea. The characters were warm and loving and very supportive. Excellent job.

Soooo cute!

I fell in love with this story right from the first page. What Julianna went through with her ex was just awful. When Julianna is about to give up on herself Robert steps in and takes her into his care, teaching her to be little again.

This is a must read book!

Really enjoyable

While this is not my typical genre of choice, it was recommended to me by a friend. The story, plotline and the writing was better than I had anticipated. If age-play is a topic that interests you then this is a great way to start your collection.

A new love

A sweet story about coming back from abuse to a great relationship.
There’s some inconsistency and missing info about characters, but you can put it together on your own.

My first age play romance and definitely won't be my last.

Not sure how I would feel about reading about age play but decided it couldn't hurt. I am so glad I took a chance on this book about Juliana and her Daddy. It's well written and easy to get into.

This isn't my first age play book I have read. It was a sweet story. Not as detailed as others I have read. They grammar was also a bit choppy. It didn't flow quite right. That said, I did indeed enjoy the story. Especially as I am a Little myself.

Juliana and Robert

This is a very good story about a Little girl who has had very bad experience with her previous Daddy. She never wants to be Little again. Robert is a doctor who realizes Juliana is perfect for him. Read to find out how this relationship starts.

I struggled with how to rate this book. The story itself was fine. There are no glaring typos or anything to pull me out of the story.
I was trying a different genre than what I normally read. While I won't be reading another age-play romance, I'm glad I tried it.

Delightful read!

This is a truly sweetly written story, with enough grit and real world darkness to make it seem more believable! I want a daddy like this!!!
Highly recommended!
