The Final Quest and The Call have become modern classics, selling more than a million copies. Now both books are available in this value-priced omnibus edition. In The Final Quest Rick Joyner writes about visions and prophetic experiences that unfold the last battle between light and darkness. This book is a call for all Christians to take a stand for truth and righteousness in these troubled times. The Call continues the message, offering a picture of the dawning of the day of the Lord and urging Christians to seize the opportunity to witness for Christ in the last days. This two-in-one book is an exhortation for Christians to live in a manner worthy of the call of God and an inspiring vision of the wonderful plans God has in store for His people.
Rick Joyner is the founder and executive director of MorningStar Ministries and Heritage International Ministries and is the Senior Pastor of MorningStar Fellowship Church. He is the author of more than forty books, including The Final Quest, A Prophetic History, and Church History. He is also the president of The Oak Initiative, an interdenominational movement that is mobilizing thousands of Christians to be engaged in the great issues of our times, being the salt and light that they are called to be. Rick and his wife, Julie, have five children: Anna, Aaryn, Amber, Ben, and Sam.
This is an amazing book!!!! I recommend everyone to read this. What I loved most about this book was that it all went by scripture, not one thing was written "religiously"....
I've never read such a book like this about heaven, the final battle and how we are to prepare ourselves for the end times as in the book of Revelations. It is written in a thrilling way with spiritual lessons inserted into it. I have never repented so much while I'm reading something!!! Rick Joyner received prophetic visions in the mid 90s about the ultimate clash between the forces of good and evil. Guided by Wisdom, he witnesses a grim battlefield with hordes of hell wreaking havoc and escaped to the Mountain of the Lord where he fought with fellow soldiers. He eventually made his way through the ranks of heaven. There he meets many biblical characters like St Paul, Job, Jonah and others sitting on the thrones of heaven. The second book The Call, challenges us to live out the truth in scriptures and to share it with others. Some will become messengers to the world, but the enemy will send his messengers out too to cause chaos and confusion. The Call warns us to be prepared and reminds leaders that with authority comes much responsibility as they can cause great harm if they stray off the path. Pride is to be laid down and the cloak of humility to be worn by all. Quite a bit of this book is about the judgement all of us will have to face and the need to walk in unity with Jesus. It is a sobering reminder of how our world is changing and how the truth was been inverted, twisted and perverted. How many people are confused and seeking the truth in wrong places. How through our daily lives, grace is given out abundantly to us all and we are to use that wisely. Be guided by the Holy Spirit and not by politicians, influencers and famous people. Jesus is Lord of all and in all. Praise the Lord!
You will probably not read a more self-aggrandizing book as this. At the end of the book, Joyner wraps his cloak of humility even more tightly around himself as he explains how God, or the Father, or Wisdom, or Jesus (they are all kind of interchangeable for Joyner) has called him "see Me in My people" and to "help to build - My house". This "vision" is simply a series of semi related Bible verses cherry-picked and interpreted to support his own Charismatic and NAR interpretations of Scripture. Along the way, he meets Christ or Wisdom as he is also called, fights great battles, instructs people in the heavenly realm, wraps himself in humility, and relates his importance in his call to teach the world about how important they are to God. It is pablum, nonsense, and heresy. Avoid this book, his other books, and his teachings. They are #forhereticalresearchonly .
I did get lost in some sections of the book but overall I love the beautiful picture this book paints of God’s attributes as well. I loved thinking of the Lord rejoicing when believers worship in suffering and the coat of humility was an important reminder.
Great book for visual learners. I was skeptical at first but the more I read the more I believed this man truly was given a vision and a message from God. From what I saw, everything seemed to align with Scripture (if you feel otherwise I’d love to chat about it!).
This book was very helpful for me to see the importance of humility in the Christian's spiritual journey. I do believe that he is truthfully describing real visions and didn't see anything that wasn't aligned with scripture.
Wonderfully written and informative. This book gave so many examples and explained things in layman terms that I wouldn't have understood otherwise. If you are a Christian, and haven't read this yet, then I highly recommend that you do!
Though I think some people get hung up on the premise that this book is in fact a Vision from God, I think the most important thing to look at is the effect that reading this book has. Jesus said in Luke 6:44, "For each tree is known and identified by its own fruit." Though he's talking about people, I think it applies equally to books. After reading this book, I had desire to love and search after Jesus more, to love my brothers more and help them overcome their sin rather than beat them up for it, and visualize how our issues are not with other people but with "the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms." I think it's extremely safe to say this book isn't inspired by Satan. Of course, as with any book outside the Bible, I think it's important to compare it to Scripture, and as of yet I haven't caught any conflicts. This is one of my favorite Christian books of all time, and one of the only books that I intend on reading a third time. Highly recommend to all Christians for a different perspective of what's happening day to day in the church and in our personal journey's with Christ. Also recommend to those who just enjoy reading an exciting adventure.
Unlike a certain other book, I truly do believe that this could become the Pilgrims progress for our age. Whether these prophecies are genuine, or just the creations of a very spirit filled and biblically informed mind I do not know or care. But the metaphors are powerful, bringing to light many spiritual truths. I read this book years ago, and it continues to inform many aspects of my life and ministry. A highly recommended read.
Excellent book! I really enjoyed this book and found it hard to put down. This series is about a dream that Rick Joyner had. It is very vivid and interesting as you read about the different things he is seeing and the implications that it has for today. Great book. I recommend reading all 3 in the series. This book has 2 in one, which I read, but you can read each separately.
That was absolute revolution for my thinking. This book could absolutely upside down your christian world. A must read for every christian that is hungry for more of God. Cumulation of God's revelation and wisdom here is so deep that you will have to stop for every few pages to meditate and rethink what you just read.
It took me 11 months to read this book. Not because it was so long or so boring-- but because it was so meaty! I would read a few pages at a time and need to digest it for a week! If you crave depth and authenticity in your relationship with Jesus, this book is an important teacher!! So good! I feel full like Thanksgiving Dinner to my spirit!
You who hunger a thirst for Righteousness, no not the “Christian “, not the “ church goer”, not the fire insurance type of believer, but the follower of “the way”, the burning ones, YOU must read this book!!!
