After tragic events robbed her of the love of her young life and the baby she carried, eighteen-year-old Erin Shaw is ready to move on. Erin has something to prove, not to anyone else, but to herself. Focused on volleyball and grades, Erin’s goal is to get through senior year of high school and then she’s shaking off her coastal town along with and the smells and sounds of the ocean that act as constant reminders of what will never be. The one thing Erin isn’t interested in is a boy. She’s been down that road and it ended in heartbreak. But when Erin bumps into Michael Bray, the local basketball hero—who’s one part geek and one part jock—it’s all she can do to resist his understated charm. Their budding friendship quickly spirals into something deeper and after one kiss on a moonlit beach, Erin rediscovers something she thought she lost forever—hope. But if Erin has learned one truth, it’s not to get too comfortable because everything can change in an instant. And one instant is all it takes for her past to come crashing back into her life with an all-consuming force. Now her future seems not entirely in her control, and Erin is faced with the impossible choice between remaining true to a vow she once made or remaining true to the young woman she’s become.

I loved how we see how Erin is doing and growing as a person. She's one strong young lady. Though, I was so relieved about a certain person being alive and well. I was shocked! I couldn't read this fast enough. And to see the rest of the gang and staying updated with them as well. This book will not disappoint. I wanted to slowly devour this book yet I wanted to read faster to see what happens. The author has such a talent. And this series is such a gift to her readers. Thank you Kimberly James for a great series.

Kimberly James is quickly becoming a favorite

I was mildly worried that Erin's perspective would be kind of bland in comparison to the last two books, but I was pleasantly surprised to find that wasn't the case! I truly enjoyed learning more of her story, her sorrows, and strengths. I won't say any more for risk of spoiling anything, but certainly worth the read!

Kimberly James does it again. I loved this book, staying up until 4:30am finishing it in a state of jet lag. I wasn't sure how I would feel with the narrator switching perspectives, but this was a side of the story that needed to be told, and she pulled it off wonderfully. Such a great read!

This story was so heartbreaking, but I will admit i was suprised by the ending. As they say some people need to grow and learn who they truly are.

If you read the prequel you know somewhat if whats happened. Jamie is back in school friends with Car is and Ally. She is trying to be normal. But soon we learn someone from her past is back. I wasn't expecting this! And let me just say it was so intense and deep. Ans for the record when Caris usea her abilities, that girl wouldn't be someone you would want to have as an enemy. I truly hope Erin and Jamie get their happy ending!!!!

I haven't finished it yet but oh my gosh it pulls at my heart and brings back memories of ow so many things from high school. I think all three books have been fanatically defining for you to write, I think your editor didn't do their job very well though

I felt like a leaky sieve reading this book. It's so sad. I didn't love it because I really wanted the characters to overcome their obstacles to be together. I'm a HEA ending type of gal.
