Life was easier in the cage, now Lara Crane's life is under a microscope. She thought she was out, ready for a normal life, but with the Feds endless questions and tests, Lara realizes she might never be free. Things would be worse if not for Donovan. They promise to ride it out together as Lara is fitted with a time travel restraint, designed to not only stop her, but to save her life as her mind spirals out of control. No more second chances. No more time travel to revert everything back the way it was once before. As the danger increases, so does Lara's headaches and nightmares. Her brain is desperate to be free, loose, and as the future begins to flash all around her, Lara is terrified the end might be near. And maybe she doesn't have a future at all.

I had originally started out by giving this 4 stars, but after thinking it through, I've moved it down to three.
This series was a fun, fast read. I liked Lara, the main character, but there were several issues with the story as it progressed that I had issues with, that dropped my rating.
The good: Lara was a strong character. Able to stand on her own, Lara is, what I consider, a positive female character. She doesn't stand by and wait for her knight in shining armor to come rescue her, but she isn't over the top super warrior either. She takes responsibility for altering the timeline and messing up her family's lives, and does what she can to try to fix the problem.
The story moved quickly and was entertaining. I was able to suspend disbelief enough to just sit back and enjoy the story. There was a good amount of action and suspense, making this a fast and entertaining read.
The bad: After the first book, the romance between Lara and Don became worn and tired. I found myself rolling my eyes at their "romantic scenes." Cooper seemed to simply re-write the same words over and over to describe these two together and it got boring quickly.
Cooper also seemed in desperate need of a copy editor as the series progressed. I am able to let some errors slide since I am reading a lot more self-published authors, but as these errors become more frequent and more glaring, my rating takes a dive. One error that really made me cringe was the misuse of embellish when the correct word was embezzle. Someone embezzles money from a company, not embellishes money from a company. Simple mistake should have been caught.
Overall, this series was an interesting concept and a fast read. I hope that Ms. Cooper takes a little more time in the future to copy edit, though. The amount of errors in the text were too jarring and the descriptions of the romantic scenes were too bland for me to give this series anything more than three stars.
"If you loved sci-fi like the Continuum and Orphan Black, you're going to flip over Lara Crane."
Umm...YES I LOVE Orphan Black!!! It's one of the most epic T.V. shows EVER!!!
So, I was excited to read this book after I read the premise. Lara Crane and her boyfriend, Donovan, were a force to be reckoned with!
I admired Lara and how much strength she had as a character. Donovan was so swoon-worthy as a boyfriend and I loved how he fit into her life.
She is free of the Rewind Agency at last. Only, she's not. Do you ever truly escape the cage that has kept you for so long?
Lara's mind is a mess. Between her new reality and her old reality, her future reality starts to emerge. Can she trust herself? Will she ever stop the struggle to time travel?
There were so many awesome plot twists in this final book! I loved every minute of it, down to the very last word. This book gets five glittery stars for how electric the storyline was!
Lara thought at first that she could get out of this all, but it is far from the truth. They use her all of it, they push her to go back in time more and more. She hoped so bad she could get a normal live with Donovan, but those who she thought protected her, betrayed her and brought her back. I strongly advise you to red the first two books 15 minutes and Unplugged, you can read them separate I guess, but when read all 3 you know the story, understand the characters better. Lara is interviewed, prodded, tested like no tomorrow and realize the government will never let her go, will she be free ever???..
I really enjoyed this third book in the series it is great Sci fi, action, twists and plots, great characters etc! Get it you won't regret it. I received a copy of this book for a honest review
A solid finish to this series. Time travel is always difficult to read (well keep up with) and this book had more twists and turns than most - so brave to author and editor for keeping track!. I enjoyed the action and closure of this book, the way there were morals to learn, and the main character who had to carry the fate of the world in her hands. Still not a huge fan of the romance in this series...but thats ok - i can live with it.
It's a great story but executed horribly. There are so many errors in this book that it's actually jarring. Typos, grammar, wrong words...everything. I don't think I've ever read a book that was in this much need for an editor. It's as though it's the first draft. At one point the author goes back and forth from using Crane and Montgomery that she messes up in one part and uses the wrong one. It's a shame too because again, the story itself is good.
I love reading her stories but someone really needs to proofread. The first 2 were my favorites, but this one introduces characters that are in the same voice as Lara. When Lara disappears, I know it has to come from other viewpoints, but that could be better. Otherwise I love her stories!!
Lara is trapped in time. Soon she meets up with Cassidy. Cassidy is unsure of the time she lives in. With both girls they find the problem. It takes bravery to make time travel to stop.
Sadly, I was quite disappointed with the quality of this last book in the series. There were so many proofreading errors in this book it was very irritating. There were full stops in the middle of sentences, disjointed sentences, incorrect words being used eg dairies instead of diaries, and not just once but on multiple occasions, it was terrible. The plot and the characters were lacklustre and the whole thing felt like the author just threw this book together in a hurry and had no care at all. This is such a shame because the first book 15 Minutes was excellent and I absolutely enjoyed it, however, the second book started the downslide, and then this final book really crashed and burned. I would not recommend this book at all.
I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. I have absolutely loved this series and I am upset it is over, but it had to end some time didn't it? It's a different take on the idea of a time traveler, which really helped to spark my attention. From the very first book, Lara has been a character I have been able to be empathetic towards, and understand where her motives are. As a mom, I found myself cringing that any 17 year old would have to bear so much responsibility on her shoulders. One of the good things, is the author happened to mention that in the book a few times, so it wasn't completely ignored. Donovan hasn't really changed much, though with his privileged status crumbling in front of him, he really dug deep and realized that his money and status don't mean much without love. The new character Cassidy was a good twist and we were able to experience the future society through her eyes. From the beginning of the book, the author kept the reader engaged through enough action to pull the story line along, and enough description that a future society won't confuse us too much. It was easy to understand the characters motives. The story line wasn't so tangled that it was a hopeless mess to understand, which can happen in time travel stories, but neither was it so transparent that you could guess what the next plot twist would be. If you're looking for a time travel series that sin't completely like every other time travel series, then you need to try this one out for size!
I love, love this series!! Jill Cooper rocks you back in time with this time travel string. The first two books were so awesome and intense, this one was not a letdown . With the corrupt Rewind Agency always after poor Lara, will they ever just back off? Let her live?
With Patricia James in jail; all Lara wanted was for her and Donavan to run off in the sunset together and finally be free. What a pipe dream! She finds herself right back in the grips of Rewind under the care of Xavier Daniels…. And she thought the devil was behind bars! With everything going haywire, the only people she can trust is a close friend, family and her Donovan! When she goes missing that’s when everything goes unbalanced, without her it all falls. Can she find her way back to fix what is amiss?
Love Lara still! I have loved her character since the beginning, she is strong and does not back down. When she’s backed in a corner she stands taller and doesn’t cower. Donovan is her ever present rock, he stands by her side even when all hope is lost. He will not give up on her. They are so sweet and amazing together.
There was so many surprises in this story, twists and turns. The exciting roller coaster Mrs. Cooper gives in all her books keeps you reading to see what happens. I love this series and very sad to see it end!
But is it really over or could it be another false reality?
I have watched time traveling shows and it makes a person wonder about alternate time lines and changing the future by throwing a small pebble into the water. No matter how insignificant we think something is, it can lead to a bigger something. Lara found it out the hard way. It reminds me of Barry Allen, The Flash. Just like Lara, he thought he could make everything right by changing the past to the way he wants. His parents together, not dead and in jail. Everything rosy. His friends tell him not to, but he does anyway, creating Flashpoint and living with the knowledge of changing things for the worst way in the alternate present timeline he created. Lara thought she stopped rewind by stopping James and taking precautions, but things became worse. I like the fact that there was Lara's side, Cassidy's side and Donovan's side of the story. All are just pawns in Rewind's game, no matter who is in charge. Cassidy is the biggest pawn because she does not know what is going on. She is told to comply and that is it. Her every movement under a microscope and reprimanded harshly because they treat her as special. She never questions why and does her job.
When I read the first two books I truly hoped that a third would be written. The idea of being able to go back in time to save someone from death or anything... Something I believe we can all understand and feel....
Lara is stuck connected to rewind in yet another book. I had truly hoped she would find her freedom. Her life with Dom after all the bad stuff in the past. But now they have fitted her with equipment in her brain that they say they own, so now they own her. To make things worse, Lara is losing time and has no idea why flashes of the future are coming to her.. In a twist, the introduction of a future employees of rewind, an enforcer. They are given a glimpse of what someone will do in the future and are arrested and tried as if they did it. However, someone is using the system to stop anyone who wants to stop reminds progression.
This books has so much in it. This is just the first quarter of the book.
Full of surprises and suspense and of course love. I was given this book for my honest review and there you have it.
A fabulous book and a fitting ending to this amazing and fanciful series. I have enjoyed the entire series but found the first two books had some plodding repetitious areas to them but this one was worth the getting here. It was a page turner from start to finish and had a twist at the ending that would have been worthy of Hitchcock himself.
Miss Cooper's vision of a rewind dominated future would have George Orwell applauding with delight while giving readers belly rumblings of the first degree.
It did what the ending of a great series only can do, made me sorry that it had come to an end as I was wishing for more adventures of Lara Crane Montgomery, intrepid time traveler!
This is the third in a series for YA. The plot line is interesting and I enjoyed the story. However, there appears to have been no proofreading at all. There were some errors in the first volume, more in the second, and this one is just a hot mess. No way could I recommend this series to anyone, and especially not to young readers who should be learning to write by imitating good writing. I wrote the author with these complaints, and I offered to work for her as a proofreader. I haven't heard back.
The final part of the Rewind Agency trilogy is told from the viewpoints of Lara and a new character, Cassidy. Cassidy's story takes place 75 years into the future and it was this that contributed to making this book as enjoyable as it was. One criticism is that the version in the box set (which is the one I read) had too many instances of spelling errors or places where edits had been made but not tidied up properly. It badly needs another editing.
I have never ever wanted to read all the books in a series as much as these three. I was so captivated, it consumed me completely. Jill if you read this, it was an amazing read and was a privaledge to feel part of the story, willing the characters on. Well done. I will most definately be reading more of your books.
This has been a great read from the first book thro to the last. Keeps you thinking constantly the twist an turns are outstanding. Really a good who done it. Will be checking out other works by this author.
Definitely loved it, and sad the series is over. If I have one complaint it's just that the end was too fast for me. I would have liked more with more details.
