Stoked: Firing Up Your Passion for God

Rate this book
If you want the fire of God to burn in your soul, this book is for you!

Firing Up Your Passion for God uses powerful illustrations from Scripture, personal insights, and stories from some of the most "stoked" Christians in history to draw readers closer to the heart of God. But beware. If you take its principles to heart, there's no way to avoid being set aflame by the all-consuming love of God.

Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed the book, finding it uplifting, encouraging, and inspiring. The goal of the book has definitely be accomplished in me. As I tend to be overly analytical person, I definitely intend to revisit this book in future years as an aid to remain passionate about the doing, and just thinking, of the Christian faith.

I would have ranked it as 5 stars, but there were some reservations I had about the style or content here and there. Nothing worth devoting time to at this moment, but it was reflected in my scoring. Additionally, because the book is written to its time, it is starting to become dated. However, that really only impacts the last chapter the most.

If you are looking to increase your motivation for Christian service, I recommend this book.
