Singling Out Sable

Rate this book
My name is Sable Turner and I am a nobody. At least, that’s what it feels like most days. I can count on one hand the people who care about me and my well being. One is my sister Lizzie. The others are the hired help so they kind of get paid to care. My life is not as simple or as glamorous as you may think. Especially when you take into consideration that my mother and sister, Tabby are never around. My father is constantly traveling and my arch nemesis is my own flesh and blood cousin, who is hell bent on making my life as miserable as possible! I did not realize how many people actually cared about me until after an unfortunate “accident.” Of course, based on how the past 16 years of my life have gone it takes a while for me to be able to actually trust that these people genuinely care about me and don’t just want something from me. My life seems to have gone from a nightmare where I constantly play the role of the invisible observer (unless I am getting bullied) to a life straight out of a fairytale. Complete with great friends, family relations on the mend and the hunky sports star! Like I said my name is Sable Turner and this is my story.

AHHH-MAZING!!! Once I started this book, I did not want to put it down. I had to know what was going to happen next!!

My heart broke for Sable from the start!! I couldn't believe the things that were being done to her and that no one, not even the principal or teachers (except Mrs. Putnam) done anything to help her. I was yelling at my kindle WTH!! I couldn't understand her parents either. Why was this poor girl all alone without a friend in the world....

Finding myself alone
Alone with my thoughts, my words, my sound
A pain no one has ever known
Is the only friend I've found
Lately I've cried until I can cry no more
Tears release and stain my pillow
For a child with no future to look for
A dream to have, a present you must know
Shattered, is what I am
Don't matter, no one gives a damn
Can't find one, to take me as I am
Just please understand,
I'm my one and only friend

Once Sable met Julian and Carson I knew her bad luck was about to change. I loved the whole Miraunding Misfits Drama Team aka M.M.D.T. I loved how when they all got a text that something was going down with Sable and Jenna they all came running to help her.

Dante....HOLLLY SWOON!!! I loved him and I loved how good he was with Sable. I am so glad things worked out for them and I am hoping that in future books I get more on them.

"I can't wait for you to see who you really are. Or even catch a glimpse of the girl that I see? If you did then you'd realize that the boy that you build me up to be isn't good enough for the girl that you already are."

Jenna...OMG, I couldn't believe the things that girl done to Sable. I am so glad to know that the next book will be on her. Maybe once I read her story, everything will make some sense.

There was so many twists and turns near the end that I never saw coming. My jaw just kept dropping. All I can say is GO ONE CLICK THIS BOOK, YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT!!!!

Isabella Rose Norton....I am now going to stalk you like crazy for more on this series!! I can't wait for your next book!! You are AWESOME!! Great job!!

I received a gift copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. Sable Turner may look like y our typical teen on the outside but she is far from it. Her family life is a joke and the only time she gets any attention is when she is getting the crap beat out of her by her cousin! One day the beating goes to far and Sable ends up in the hospital. Dante has had enough of seeing Sable being mistreated by her cousin Jenna and finally gets others involved. His only motive being that he has wanted to get close to Sable for some time now but has been too scared to. In his effort to get to know her he asks his friends to ask her to join their drama club. Sable is not used to people even acknowledging her existence let alone asking her to be a part of anything. This is a wonderful story with some great messages built in. It is a definite must read you will enjoy the journey that Sable takes and learn some things along the way that will simply make your jaw drop.

Misfits

This book was absolutely fantastic. As a person who normally doesn't read YA books I devoured this in one night, I couldn't put it down. Sable was a young woman who was being bullied by her cousin and her home life was no better with parents who were never around. Enter a wonderful teacher and a group of students who banded together to show that just because you're different doesn't mean you're not unique. This book is filled with so many twist and turns that you never would have expected that it leaves you wanting more. I am so looking forward to the next book in this delightfully captivating series.

I really enjoyed this book. Sable has had a rough time and has spent a lot of time alone. Both of her parents are always gone and she is left alone a lot. At school her cousin beats her up on a regular basis. She has no idea why. She feels alone, lost, and invisible. I love how this book evolves and the truths come out. She comes to find out that she never has been invisible. This is a wonderful book.

This book was very interesting because it showed how bullying can affect people and how friendship can help in these types of situations. the relationships between Sable and her family added to the strain she seems to have within herself because she feels they do not care. as the book progresses her relationship with her father begins to mend and she learns things about herself and her family that helps her understand who she is and why her life is the way it is. Sable's feelings and attitudes regrading how she was bullied contributed to ,much of the book and showed how bullying can happened to anyone by anyone and even for no reason, and showed how she ended her torment. this book was a nice read and very interesting, showing the affect of bullying and overcoming it, and helps show ho courage can come from friends along with family. i would recommend this book to anyone who likes light romance along with a coming of age story.
i received this book free through good-reads first reads
