This was a sweet memoir. I was touched by the boat delivery of supplies from the Canadian Red Cross during the darkest hours. The stories of togetherness during these years is always a source of inspiration for me.

While not perfect in terms of grammar, this is a very fascinating account about life on Guernsey during WWII. It's interesting to see what aspects of life were significant to a child during that time.
