The focus was on lessons that, quite frankly, seemed a little disjointed from the story. I did like the lessons that were intended as a main focus and for a daycare or classroom this book is very well suited. There is an activity after every story that can be used to entertain a group of children, which is a fun way to interact with kids and encourage their learning.
The lesson about wearing roller blades while walking a dog is a very good one, and I wish in addition to the other lessons there had been a quick few about the proper care of puppies and how much work it takes. This book was in an excellent position to use a fun way to teach children how to properly care for a puppy, but I feel like that opportunity was missed.
I didn't particularly care for the berries that the squirrel threw out of the berry tree. There is only a handful of trees in the whole world that produce berries and of those few, even fewer are considered edible. I think the tree should have had nuts so as not to confuse smaller children about where berries come from. I found myself worried about kids in yards playing under a tree that contains mistletoe. Anyone who doesn't know that mistletoe is a plant all on its own would think that the tree makes those berries and if the squirrel in the story could play with them then that makes it alright.
I am aware that scenario is a stretch, but if I thought of it immediately, then I felt it warranted a mention.
Overall, this seems like it would be a fun group activity for children around 4 to 6 years old.

Good book
Yes I like the book it talks about when the girl got a puppy she always was happy for him and always played with him and it has jokes and activities that are fun and I think you will like the book and don't listen to the people who say that the book is boring and I am not telling the part of the book

I searched for an interactive children's book for my 4 year old granddaughter. Strike one: There was nothing interactive about this book.
The book states it has a story for each night, etc. That is true. Strike two: 4 year olds like to see pictures as you read the words. Cannot be done with this book.
Personally, I do not think this is a book that was made for 4 year olds. A little older, I would say yes. After her disappointed look, I tried to read this to my child inside. Like I said, this is perfect for an older crowd. They can picture the words and voices as you speak with little to no need for picture to accompany the tale.
As an avid reader, I also do not want to lowly rate a book because it did not suit our need or taste. It is well written and I will save it to read to her or to let her read to me someday. I know the author put in a lot of time with this, and I respect their effort, and I am always thankful for their words.

Peewee the Playful Puppy
Peewee the playful puppy has many great adventures with his human companion Lizzie. This book is cute and geared for children ages 3-8. My son is a beginning reader at 5 and we read it together. He enjoyed and he laughed at Peewee's antics. He gave it a two thumbs up.

My 5 year old loved the stories about Peewee and Lizzie. Both my 5 and 8 year olds loved the jokes/riddles very much. I found them all amusing and will read more of Uncle Amon's books to my children in the future.

Peewee the Playful Pup by Uncle Amon, author is five short stories about Lizzie, a little seven year old girl that received a puppy she named Peewee and he loved to play. Each story tells of an adventure Lizzie has with Peewee. The book includes activities, jokes and puzzles to extend learning opportunities.

Cute story and jokes.
This book has a handful of cute little stories about Peewee the puppy. My kids loved these stories and thought the jokes were funny. They thought Peewee was a funny name and laughed the first couple times we read this book. Good for little kids and parents. *I received this book for free in exchange for an honest unbiased review. This has not influenced my opinions on the book.

My five year old really likes this book. I think alliteration in a title\character name is always a winner with kids and this happy little puppy makes for a great bedtime story.
