Jimmy Frost feels like he let his brother down. His brother Lincoln was almost killed by their father and Jimmy and his twin brother Danny had no idea life was even difficult for Lincoln. Their father Adam turned out to be a much different man than the one they thought they knew. Jimmy, a recently discharged Marine, feels like he should have seen something or done something. The problem lies in the secrets Jimmy is carrying, mental and physical scars that leave him cut off from his family and anyone who might try and love him. When he meets Michael Whelan, the lead enforcer of the Belle Fourche Pack he has to grapple with his self-imposed celibacy and whether or not to give the kindest and most handsome man he’s ever laid eyes on a chance to win his heart. Can Jimmy’s scars be healed enough for him to let anyone in? His forever happiness depends on it.

Michael Whelan knows he scented his mate, he just can’t find the source. He thought Danny Frost was the man, but alas he was wrong and Michael wondered if he would ever find the source of that wondrous smell. In walks Jimmy Frost, Danny’s twin brother, into his life and Michael is almost knocked off his feet. Michael knows that Jimmy is his forever mate, but he has to breach Jimmy’s impenetrable emotional defenses if he ever has the chance of his happily ever after. Wolf shifters never give up when their mate is at stake.

This was so sweet and touching. Jimmy was suffering from physical and emotional scars. Once Michael realized that Jimmy was his mate, his love and support helped Jimmy to heal. I love this author's writing and I loved the storyline. Overall, a very delightful and heartwarming read. ==

Rating: 3.5 rounded up

Different than the first two in that there's no action sequences or tense moments. This one is all about the psychological barriers to a relationship, how scars can be internal and external. There are some minor and one major surprise to mix things up in the story. The only disappointment is that it wasn't longer. I would have liked for Jimmy's emotional struggle to have been built up more, making more of an obstacle for their relationship. I also know that the mating bond/emotions bring mates together quickly but I would have likes a longer story where their relationship could have built and grown more slowly.

Michael stays around to help out Lincoln’s brother (Danny). He smells his mate but he knows that his mate is not Danny. He heads back home to his pack. Lincoln invites Michael to dinner with himself, his mate and his other brother Jimmy. When Michael walks in he knows that Jimmy is his mate. Jimmy has secrets that he is scared to reveal. He knows if his secrets are revealed Michael will not want him. What he doesn’t know is that Michael loves him anyway it doesn’t matter about Jimmy’s past Will Jimmy be able to open up and let Michael in or will he stay closed off and loose the one person who loves him for him? This was a great and emotional book for me. I loved it!!

Loved it!

This book deserved the five star rating, it's well written, and I will recommend it to my friends and fellow readers. I would like to know if Andy and Danny will find their mates in future books?

Very Nice

Jimmy thinks he's deformed but it couldn't be farther from the truth. Luckily Michael shows him how perfect he actually is.
