I was hunting for my bread machine cookbook (only bought the machine in the early 2000s and barely used it) but couldn't find it anywhere. Had to go to the opticians (no pun intended here) and in the charity shop almost next door they had this book in the window. Kismet!! And quite cheaply priced too! It's written in 2001 which would be around the time I bought my own breadmaker so the instructions for use apply to my machine. I've had a good look through and have began to make some bread. There are 50 recipes to choose from too, from standard loaves right through to herby ones and even veggie ones, haven't been brave to cook one of those yet!
The book does exactly what it says on the cover, gives you all the essential things you need to know, types of flour and how to use the machine to get the most from it. There is a large selection of bread recipes to choose from and I've already dusted and cleaned the machine and made the buckwheat and walnut loaf which was surprisingly nice, and the polenta and wholemeal one too. I loved the three cheeses bread and the wholemeal muffins. I must really use my bread maker more often. Although am not sure it saves me much time!
This is an enormous book by the way, paperback, but more than A4 in length and width so bit problematic to fit on a bookshelf. Well it doesn't fit on mine!!
